Absolutely. It was a great bit of driving by the minibot and, undoubtedly, what won this for Jackpot. Spoiler below. Ace was MVP of their Cobalt fight too. Driver was so terrified of Ace getting under them that _they turned their back on the main bot_ to deal with the minibot.
I think ace just won a tournament at the lower weight classes under the mane Supreme Ruler and is qualified for the national championship at 3 pounds. Ironically the mini bot has its own minibot thats really effective, a flamethrower that melts wheels, belts and armor
This might be the absolute first time I've ever seen one of the PuLvErIsErS actually do something. Jackpot broke some armor around Lucky's wheels in that first collision and exactly that part seemed to have been bent in by that last hit Lucky took from the hammer, jamming the wheel.
Probably the first time I've seen a mini bot be the critical element in a fight. If it wasn't for that initial hit from Jackpot, courtesy of the mini bot holding Lucky in place, Lucky wouldn't have had its wheel immobilized later in the round.
I think what hurt Lucky was this moment right here at 6:35 . They had Jackpot on top, but they were stalling for time. It didn’t look like a pin or a moment of control that would’ve given them control or aggression points. It’s like sitting in the middle of the arena with your opponent on top of you and you’re doing nothing. Also the drive on Lucky was dying at that point, which was almost the 2 minute mark of the match. Now, they did get a pin shortly after, but the drive was already dying, so basically the control they thought they had backfired on them.
@@hotpenguin607 Well, tbf, the way Lucky was just sitting there felt a little off as it didn't look like a pin attempt or anything like that. I almost thought Lucky actually died because it wasn't moving or trying to do anything when Jackpot was on top. If Lucky at least had the front pressed against the Upper Deck wall or at least tried to show signs it was an attempt of a pin and not just sitting idle, then maybe Lucky could've saved themselves a point.
They knew they couldn't move, which explains their hesitation to flip Jackpot: Once Jackpot gets some distance, it would become clear that Lucky was dead in the water.
Ace was the real MVP this episode, serving up perfect shots for Jackpot and clinching the win twice in a row, but this was easily the closest match of the night. I would not have wanted to be in the judges' panel for this one. Lucky really rallied towards the back half of the fight and managed to land some very effective pins and flips, if it hadn't lost a side of drive I wouldn't have envied Jackpot's chances at a win.
I've seen minibots in show before like Witch Doctor's Shaman and WAR Hawk's WAR Stop, but I think Jackpot's little Ace just eclipsed them both as my favorite minibot in the reboot. Amazing to see Jackpot FINALLY doing well after a very lack luster WC7. Its no WC6 personally, but its a step in the right direction. Great fight BTW! 🎰
Lucky has seriously went up the ranks, they went from a robot who got knocked out in every other fight, to a robot who can survive and do good against most of the mid tier spinners.
The pulveriser won Jackpot this fight so it's far from pointless. It turned Lucky into a crabwalker which counteracted enough of the damage points loss from losing their weapon.

At exactly 7:00 in the video Lucky could’ve stole the win by KO as Jackpot was at a precarious position for a second there and if they did they’d go on to rematch Cobalt but they didn’t
Lucky dominated a lot of this match before losing its drive at the end with 30 seconds left. Lucky was chasing Jackpot for longer, often going straight at it. Lucky disabled the weapon of Jackpot and also killed the minibot by getting Jackpot inverted on it. Even though Jackpot lost its weapon, it should have been more aggressive or tried to take advantage of Lucky's dying drive. This is a really close match but I'd actually give it to Lucky. Surprised they didn't appeal. Awesome job by Lucky and Ace, certainly wasn't a robbery though. Damage 3-2 (Jackpot) Control 2-1 (Lucky) Aggression 2-1 (Lucky)
@@Dysphoros I thought the drive was dying just after they flung Jackpot off of them 6:54 . Yes, the wheelguard was bent in the front wheel, but the whole side looked like it was struggling to work.
In the end, I have to agree with Jackpot winning. Jackpot did lose the weapon, as well as the minibot support, but there were clear shots of Lucky's wheelguard bent in enough to affect its drive (and part of that was from a hit from Jackpot), the smoke from Lucky could possibly be internal damage, and in the end, Lucky's weapon wasn't settling cleanly into its housing, likely meaning that it couldn't fire it anymore.
I dunno how the scoring works but to me, Jackpot had its teeth pulled and could not hurt Lucky again. Lucky had the one corner immobilised so could not go after Jackpot. However, in an unlimited duration fight where they had to proceed till one lost, Jackpot could only go up to Lucky and be hurt by Lucky, so Lucky would inevitably win in the end.
i would have voted for jackpot aswell, because lucky got pretty much disabled in the end. if it comes down to having no primary weapon vs no ability to drive, then i think no weapon wins. you can have weapon, but if you can't control your bot, then not much you can do.

so you have a 10 second countdown without useable movement before you automatically lose... and lucky couldnt move anywhere before the 10 second countdown for the end of the match started. so how were they not counted out?
There is no way you can give Lucky all the Aggression points when Jackpot and Ace dominated the early fight. Also, as per the judges guide, Lucky’s attacks weren’t particularly aggressive, more controlling, as it lacked Severity and Boldness. I believe the frequency of attacks from Jackpot were more too. 2:1 Jackpot.
