You are absolutely right. The properties of the powder like particle size, particle size distribution and the mass of the particles are influencing the powder loss. But there are also several parameters or settings on the press which are responsible for the powder loss. Like feeder clearance, vertical wobble of the turret, parallel adjustment and condition of the sealing segment, opening of sealing segment, timing of pull down lower punch after the re-dosing, effectiveness of the product scraper and the shape of the recirculation groove.
