Hi Ken…… long time viewer / 2nd time commenter (?) …lol. Love your show. I got into you, from watching Films at Home and Cereal at Midnight…… along with your 3 shows, I also watch Daiske Beppu and Just the Discs…… you 5 have become my “go to” youtube pages for all things cinema / tv (new releases, upcoming releases, history, tech, and even thoughts on film analysis / cinema morals (for lack of a better word.) Love the coverage….. I have preordered the Bruce Lee 4k box from Arrow, and the limited edition Yellow cover. I loved the art on this. I will say I do like action / martial arts films, so this seemed like a no brainer for me (even tho I finally bit the bullet and bought the blu ray box from Criterion on their summer 2023 sale via Barnes and Noble.) The new 4k box has a lot going for it, with a number of alternate world region cuts , and long lost versions of the films, plus lots of bonus features (one I’m happy about is a 1984 documentary, that was part of the vhs and dvd box sets from about 20-25 years ago, that hasn’t been available on blu ray , since that time.) We are living in what could be seen as a golden age for boutique / specialty home video, with really amazing special editions, with all manner of remastering and bonus features. While I haven’t seen you speak to any of these companies lately, along with Arrow and Second Sight, I’d like to recommend both Eureka ! and especially Indicator / Powerhouse, both out of UK. Indicator might be neck and neck with Arrow for me, for UK companies…… they continue to amaze me, with lots of older films, excellent remastering, bonus features (including alternate cuts of films, copious bonus featurettes and documentaries, and audio commentaries), truly dynamic graphic design on their packaging ; and both limited and non limited editions. The limited edition box sets are numbered, and usually come with detailed books / booklets, durable boxes and slip bindings . They have done a highly celebrated series of film noir box sets, but for me, I love Hammer studios….. they have released a series of truly excellent Hammer box sets. Imprint is cool : I’ve picked up The Warriors box from last year (can you digggggg it !) and The Paralax View (after a number of kudos for the Imprint edition over the Criterion edition.) The Warriors was what we should have gotten from Paramount, domestically. I’m stunned it was not given this treatment. I’m interested in the Walter Hill box. Gene Hackman….. if you haven’t picked it up, get the Kino blu ray remaster of 1989’s “The Package”…… it is a superb suspense thriller with political overtones. I didn’t realize this director also did the Harrison Ford film, The Fugitive…. And it makes sense…. It has the same feel, direction, cinematography, it even has some peripheral supporting cast from The Package, and also has Tommy Lee Jones in a lead role. If you like political thrillers, this one is a hidden gem. Keep up the awesome work Ken ! Best, Chris , Rhode Island
Imprint are amazing. I've really gotten into them in the last few years. I ordered the whole July bundle with the Walter Hill box. I also ordered the September bundle which has 2 Peckinpah films in harboxes. Cross of Iron in 4K. Umbrella are doing great stuff too. KIDS is one of my favourite films of all time. I can't wait to get it. I got the limited one that comes with a frame from a 35mm print of the film. I also ordered The Pusher triolgy from them for September from Nicolas Winding Refn. Love NWR. Umbrella also put out a good blu-ray of Teenage Mutant Ninja turtles this year... so a wide breadth of titles.
I remember getting the last Bruce lee collection on blu ray and can’t wait for the 4K version from arrow uk and might wait to get enter the dragon in august or later from the uk
Great video, Ken! I hope you eventually can get into martial arts movies; that Bruce Lee collection is amazing! I am excited about the 88 films Fight Back to School trilogy. 88 films is my new favorite boutique label, and I am very tempted to get a region b blu ray player for this one
Hi Ken, Four Rooms is forever (2012) out in Germany. Before from Studiocannel/ARTHAUS and now from Paramount Pictures for 9,99 €. Greetings from Germany. Oliver
Thank you Ken, I really appreciate the time you take and content you provide. Absolutely, love your show!!!! Also love the videos you make with your wife very funny!!! She is so funny!!! please, keep adding foreign releases. I am a steelbook collector. I pre-ordered Evil Dead Rises 4k steelbook and the Last of Us 4k steelbook. I get all my news about physical media and entertainment from you. Its tough to get this info on physical releases from box stores that have dwindling inventory and store space on physical media these days. when you upload a video, about new steelbook releases or a 4k release. I am on that site to preorder it ASAP!!! looking forward to Kill Bill 4k and Megan 4k. I held off buying the Blu-ray thinking Universal would do this. I hope they give a 4k release for Cocaine Bear and Violent Night also. Thank You
7:13 - That's exactly how you pronounce it. The name is supposed to be a clever way to write "play on". Because the original name of the label "Koch" was pronounced "cock" by many english speakers. The irony is that Plaion seems to confuse the hell out of everybody pronounciation wise. 😅
I cant belive you havent seen any bruce lee flims ,,try watching the big boss first ,and ETD last ,,bruce is a icon and died for his Art ,,iam sure like me you have a dvd ,blu ray and a 4k player ,,so you can get bruce on blu ray for a cheap price ,,good luck
It's frustrating you guys get release's we don't get here in the UK and vice versa, Amityville horror, Roadhouse to name a couple, if the 4k's aren't region locked why don't they release worldwide?
Unfortunately the Razorback 4K has no HDR... I haven't seen the movie, but the trailer indicates there are a lot of night scenes which would benefit from HDR :/
Thanks for the video it's great to hear about imported stuff, Sometimes it seems like we get short changed packaging wise stateside Anybody know if the evil dead rise steelbook has the same featureless disc?
Frontiers is such a disturbing movie. Press stop on your player remote twice after your region b disc fails to load and then hit menu. Unlocks every Region B on my Panasonic 4k player.
Can't believe you haven't seen any Bruce Lee movie. Looking forward to seeing what you think of Enter the Dragon, it's one of my favorites. I do love Kung-Fu movies (I practiced Kung-Fu for about 10 years lol). I'm holding out for a US release of Bloodsport too.
Overseas labels are *FOOKIN' KILLIN' 'EET* in the game. Their boxed sets put even Vinegar Syndrome to shame. After letting the whole region-locked Blu-ray issues stop me from getting THE VVITCH and DRIVE, I've thrown caution to the wind and now I look to Umbrella and Second Sight to blow me away with their catalogs. Arrow still irks me with their occasional international shipping issues, but otherwise, the International Labels have my full support (although I pass on the German stuff usually because I can't read the booklets). I mean, compare the Umbrella version of RAZORBACK to...Shout! Factory's Blu-ray? It's like comparing a cruise ship to a tugboat. The only downside is that my Blu-ray player is cheap and has no number pad on the remote to unlock the region on it, so I'll have to get a better player. I ordered that KIDS deluxe edition the very hour I found out about it. I've been waiting for a HD version of it for about 20 years. I heard that the FOUR ROOMS edition has a bad transfer, but that might've been the previous edition.
Fantastic, i have bloodsport GER 4K. ❤
Four Rooms has been available on blu ray in Germany for about 3 to 4 years now.
Love four rooms
I want a 4k
I really want to pick up that Bruce Lee box but I have the Criterion set and it looks fantastic.
Can't wait for Kids to come in. That movie stuck with me ever since I watched it. The boxset looks great.
Bite the bullet is really good
Four rooms is great
New - International Media Report !
Most of these movies (at least a good chunk of them) are a virtual lock to come to the USA at some point down the road.
Bloodsport will change your life, you'll never be the same.

Thank you

I pre-ordered frontier(s) & may along with crimes of the future and it follows. If it's a second sight release, I am buying it. Period
Kids I haven't seen this movie in ages

Yeah keep talking about it. Buying a region free player was the best thing I ever did since I can get discs from anywhere

Great video! I’m keeping an eye out for 4ks since I don’t have a region free player. Thanks for the heads up.
Just FYI if you're interested in Imprint or Umbrella, they are region free.
Great video ken. There’s an amazing blu ray edition from imprint of Fire in the Sky, I really really would like to have an upgrade in 4K !
Already importer bloodsport months ago from Germany. I’m not messing around
Keep it up! I like it!
Because they are good movies

Bloodsport is coming to zavvi limited edition, but they may not be sending movies to America, thought this was sorted .
I need Bloodsport Ken I love that movie one of JCVD's best movies 👊💪
When is Titanic coming out on 4K because it came out of theaters in February this year, so why have we not heard anything yet about Titanic?
Waiting on this as well! Seems to be taking forever...
BITE THE BULLET with Gene Hackman is a really great western. Wish it had a separate release from the set.
My gonna try to buy both bruce lee for my son birthday in August ken you should watch

It was been a while he gone to that store
Has anyone told Ken that Imprint was created and started by Via Vision there the same people 😂😂😂
I was aware
@@midlevelmediaThis is great series to start doing every second Friday just so you can have a good amount of title's to talk about
@@notoriousmurderz59 If enough are interested, I could definitely dive a little deeper for sure. Thanks for the feedback.
@@midlevelmedia 💯 interested
I like that you’re doing this. Do you happen to know if terminator salvation on 4k blu ray was a authorized release overseas?

I have the Bloodsport Steelbook on pre-order. N of course Ken has not seen Bloodsport🤦
Bro you bugging. Bruce Lee fights chuck Norris in his prime . The fight scene is legendary my God.
I do want it.
Keep doing these reports. Does orbit, diabolic, and grindhouse bring in movies from imprint?
Orbit definitely does. I've ordered Imprint titles from them before. The other two prob do as well 👍
Oui
Do you know if Arrow will release the Bruce Lee 4k Boxset in the US?
Sydney, J furie is the Director of superman 4 The Quest for suck
Hi my son went to best buy with a friend
Dude you've not seen Bloodsport? You've got to watch that movie. It's bad ace bad ace I tell you.
Preordered Last of us steelbook edition
My friend where were you able to find this for preorder???
@@michaeldubois6405 I got it from a site where I usually order my 4ks from here in Sweden
Why America has to be last.
I don't think you'd like Kids. And certainly don't watch it with the wife. 🙈
It's good for the whole family or just kids?
No French connection
Can’t see The Whale needing a 4k it’s a bit of a boring colour palette.
The new scream sucked and I don't get the hype
I thought it was ok.
@@midlevelmedia yeah it was ok but the those kids that were the killers? They were annoying 🤦
