I've always driven past Carlsbad and never stopped; because of this video, it's on my list.
thank you! enjoy this video every bit! and bless your family! your boy and girl are so cute!
Love Carlsbad and your tour of it. Thank you. Also, as a geologist I appreciated you going to the Calaveras Volcano and sharing. It was one of my favorite finds last time I was there. Appreciate your great videos!
Smart move Visit Carlsbad, this video will bring you a lot of business. Great job as usually Josh, but your kids steel the show. Happy Mother's Day Amy
Very kind of you to say that, we had such a fun time!
Really neat to see your kids growing up and enjoying themselves ❤😊with Mom and Dad
Great video. Happy Mother’s Day to your wife.💐👍🏽
Thanks so much!
I really love the videos with your family!
We were in Carlsbad just 2 months ago and went to Legoland and the Aquarium. Lots of fun! My 7 year old son particularly enjoyed their Ninja shooting ride Ninjago. Such a beautiful area. Wish we could live there. It is quite an upscale area.
Incredible video! I absolutely love Carlsbad. My husband even proposed to me after eating at Campfire! It's my favorite restaurant and their broccoli is life changing isn't it?! I just moved out of California and very much appreciate your videos and enjoying CA's beauty 😊
Born in SoCal and never been to Carlsbad. It looks like a real fun trip, thanks for taking us along.
Vinaka was my daily visit from like 2004 to 2009. I'm not too far from it now, but so much of the area has changed so much. It's a little less my vibe now than it used to be, but it does seem like it's become a better tourist spot than it ever was. Windmill Food Hall is one of the best things they added to Carlsbad over the years. Two things you should visit: The Craftmanship museum is an unassuming hidden gem filled with tiny recreations of complex things. A little out of town: San Marcos Double Peak Park. Stunning views that you can just drive right up too. A great view of a lot of north san diego county.
Thanks for the tip about the murals. I never knew that and have to check them out. Batiquitos Lagoon is also a good place to visit and the trails are easy enough for kids.
That is a great suggestion, we will have to do that next time!
"This is the best day ever." As a parent, there are few things, if any, that are better to hear than that. Melts the heart.
I live less than a 10 minute drive from the Museum of Making Music and am ashamed to say that I've yet to visit it. Thanks for the reminder to correct that.
One renowned thing you missed is Carlsbad Alkaline Water near downtown. Bring your own container to fill with famously great water for $1/gallon. There's also the Gemological Institute of America.
p.s., You took the funnest route at the volcano.
I agree, it was so cute to have them say that multiple times! I will treasure those videos for sure. I forgot about the water, I need to do that next time!
Love your videos…always look forward to seeing your next adventure. Became a fan when I watched you and your Dad’s road trip up the California coast. 👏👏👏
That is awesome! Thanks for watching the videos!
I was in Carlsbad this week for a meeting and I went to Cafe Topes on your recommendation. Food was fantastic and the service was quick and courteous. The bacon egg scramble was amazing. Thanks for sharing experiences!
Great to hear! We loved it as well!
So beautiful! We loved taking our kids there when they were littles. The flower fields and legoland were always a hit. This brings back so many fond memories. thanks for sharing.
9:43 Flower Fields. 🌸 Your welcome
What an awesome video. Thanks for taking us along on another of your family's great trips. Your kids are so upbeat and looked like they had a great time. Good job mom and dad.
Love your videos ❤...if you haven't already, bring your kids to the Cabrillo aquarium at Cabrillo Beach in san Pedro...lots of touch tanks, and interactive activities and a nice family beach 🤙
Legoland....everywhere great. Visited Legoland in Denmark as I was a child, later with my children☺️
It looks like a family friendly trip for young children, that Lego Land miniature LA looks interesting.
Carlsbad is the best. I got married at the windmill in Carlsbad. There is a wedding venue upstairs from the food hall. It was a perfect spot!
Thanks for making these videos. We went to the flower fields today because of your video. Please keep making them.
I love Carlsbad Actually all of San Diego. Great video. The kids excitement is infectious
I do too, and yea it always brings a smile to my face watching the video back and seeing how happy they were!
Carlsbad is also a great "rest" stop for those going to SD from OC or LA area the premium outlets especially, beats any rest stop plus the shopping ain't bad either.
That is a great tip!
I Love when you do video's in Cali....I'm from there.
Your twins are adorable!
Have fun😊
What a great weekend, and mini volcano!
Excellent as always Josh, thanks for sharing!
Love this video! So timely for my family as my daughter, her husband, and my 5 year old daughter are moving to Carlsbad in a couple of weeks after having lived in Utah the past 10 years. My granddaughter is a little apprehensive. I sent this video to the kids and now she’s jazzed at all the cool adventures you showed the twins enjoying (those two are felony cute). Thanks for a great video…my granddaughter is making a Carlsbad “bucket list” based on your Carlsbad adventures as I write this.
I think she will really like it, it is such a fun city for kids for sure!
This will be on my list to visit! Nice family adventure 💕😍
I hope you have a great time!
Great video as always and glad you guys had a lot of fun!
Awesomeness of course!!! Thank you for completing my Mother’s Day 🎉
Our pleasure! Happy Mothers Day!
Love this video! One of your best.
Nice job Josh!
Thanks for watching!
Always a great place to visit... I have friends live in that town and have always enjoyed their local recommendations as well. Good job hitting some fantastic points and Kudos to your and your wife for being such supportive parents for your kids, it's a beautiful thing.
Thanks for the kind words! We had a lot of fun exploring the area with the kids and it is fun that they are old enough to have their own opinions about stuff which is cool to see
❤,,, nice weekend. Happy Mother's Day Amy 😊
Thanks so much! 😀
Thanks for sharing this adventure.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Now you 2 need a day at a Spa.😊
haha 100% 😂
Great video, you really killed it on the activities and places to eat! I definitely wanna try those s’mores next time we’re out there!
Thanks for watching! It was a great spot and the kids loved the tableside smores haah
Wow, your kids grew so fast
I agree!
G`morning Steve
.
Great! When was this recorded? Because the overcast is pretty normal in May lol
It was in April that we went haha
Only thing you forgot was the Carlsbad Aquafarm. I think it's the only place you can get fresh oysters in California other than Tomales Bay in Point Reyes 🙂
I love that spot as well! Hard to be their oysters!
Just checked and they are closed indefinitely.
Great episode happy mother's day ..how can I find pops channel
Thanks! Here is his channel - www.youtube.com/@popshiking
