Said this when we signed him and I’ll say it again now. He’s going to be a club legend for us. Plays with a beautiful fix of passion and class. Mark my words friends. Arteta has a vision. We will win the league. We will win the champions league. We can win it all. Keep the faith. COYG
Timber marks opponents as if he can't be injured...He plays as if he's not just coming from a long layoff.. The last of Arsenal players I can remember played this way happens to be Tomas Rosicky and Aaron Ramsey.
We all know or have a good sense that he can be the world's best, but Arteta and co. need to try harder to make the attack just as good. The boys are getting older. How much longer do our best players and us fans have to wait on a major title?
We said that every season with players, the year before that it was saliba, lost him at the half of the season. We can rely on one players, we have tons of decent subs
Well we didn't win it and last season is gone. Can we stop the revisionist theories and move on, if Arteta spent the 700million plus wisely we shouldn't be on a position where we lose a title because Timbers was injured. This season our team is better but thin, injuries can still affect us.
I think he had absolutely every right to continue play after that tackle. Not his mistake, he committed and just as he makes a run and sees an opportunity the referee blows his whistle. Very frustrating considering the point in the game.
I was also surprised at the run in between Porro and Timber, in which Timber looked more committed into winning the challenge, and his foot on top of the ball.
@@NorthLondonForeverCOYG In my own view.... Timber didn't go for a tackle, but rather he went for the ball and pinned it to the ground. Upon doing that, his leg slipped from the Ball and hit the opponent and people started thinking it was a tackle,no it wasn't
If Calafiori was fit and Arteta chose him to be our LB, Timber would be our RB. Timber is better in 1v1 situation against opposition winger, although I think White is still better on overlapping
A friend of mine is Amsterdam born and bred...and a huge Ajax/football fan. When we signed Timber I asked him what he thought and he said Timber was better than De Ligt was at the same age and would become the best Dutch defender in a generation. You have to understand that the Dutch are generally far less into hype than others...for my friend to say what he did about Timber I knew he must be really special.
does anyone else feel like the way he drifts and move is almost always the right decision and with grace(even if he doesnt get lots of through balls) and that his ball striking aint half bad either so his first goal is gonna be a banger? hopefully next weekenend...
I love Timber. I didn't expect him to be so influential and punctual after his injury, so it's satisfying to see him back and fit. @Woklz Football thoughts on Thomas Partey?
What stood out was you highlighted we went down the left often with odegaard out I keep hearing he prefer the right more but someone tell him more variety please
As I said below: After his injury last season, JT had to be given his chance first before Cala and he's taken it. Perhaps he'll come in and be even better, perhaps they'll be used depending on opponents. I could even see, with Merino injured atm, and TP5 and Jorgy not yet looking at their best, having JT as DM and Cala as inverting LB. That would allow, in possession, those two to make a double pivot in DMF. One left footed, one right footed. Apparently, JT is more of a passer, Cala carries the ball forward more. And when out of possession it doesn't matter which one drops back to cover the left back spot and which one drops back centrally to become an extra CH. Might work.
I totally agree. He played amazing yesterday and compare to Zinchenko he's waaay better in defence, galaxy better! Zinchenko is genuinely really bad defender. I think he's place is wing but he's not as good winger to replace Martinelli or Trossard
Had Odergaard and Rice been playing this game. Arsenal would have won 3:0 minimum. Partey and Jorginho weren’t bad. They couldn’t penetrate the spurs midfield. It was the front 4 of Arsenal that actually worked so hard. Jorginho was caught in possession a few times and Partey was off his best. spurs high line over came both Arsenal midfielders. Trossard and Havertz were work horses. Martinelli also worked his socks off but was very poor with his runs and his finishing.
Jorginho couldnt cope with the pace / closing down from spurs midfield. Martinelli gave it his all but his desicion making in the final third was poor. Timber was immense
What did Saka do exactly? he hasn't learned to make quick decisions, he hasn't learned to mix up his game and he's still allowing himself to get punished physically which will only shorten his career. Who are his advisors, what's arteta saying or not saying to him? Don't even get me started on Martinelli, he hasn't done anything all summer by the looks of it and Sterling will take his spot soon.
Saka, has been doing the business since he was 18 years old. Stop taking them jealousy drugs little man. Check he’s stats then you soon realise your chatting sh*t yet again
Timber was really bad 😂for Spurs 😅 and don't forget he is coming back from a very very bad injury i am sure there is lot come from him really happy for Timber fully deserved all the praises he gets ❤❤❤ i am sure this is Gunners time now to be a champion COYG😊
What kinda rest bro...?? 🤕 He's not participating in the Euros or Nations League.... Always on break when other Arsenal players go for international matches ... 😕
I like Timber a lot. He's a great signing, super versatile. Very high floor with him, but he was pretty woeful in the final third yesterday. It's my main concern with him at LB - he's right footed
Arsenal has Very important players that impact the games even though fans and pundits don't rate them. Example Saka, he has scored or assisted in all games we have played this season. Not only that, he helps in defending as well. I wonder why some fans are not seeing that? How will you feel when we face tough opponents without Saka? Be real when you are doing your ratings 😂
As we celebrate win over arch rival Tottenham, let's not be over excited that we did this without Rice and Odegard. Infact tottenham has had a blunt finishing front line for quite some time and have lost many matches they deserved to win. Timber is yet to face some of the finest wingers yet. Remember we had to drift from our normal game to beat them and the begging question is could we have beaten them in an open game? What is our depth defensively ? would we hold on without Saliba and Gabriel? I fear to celebrate too much, hard times are ahead.
I have been saying it, Timber is a better RB than Ben White. Calafiori at LB. Benny Blanco is doing well and I absolutely rate him, but Timber should replace him at RB.
Timber reminds me of Arsenal invisible no. 12 Silvain Wiltord, very strong, powerful, and pacy with no nonsense . My man of the match performance. Arteta masterclass
He wasn't good... He was lucky to be in the pitch... Go and watch how Romero was red carded for the same foul... But this time he was so lucky... And he didn't do anything. On top it was the idiocricy of the Tottenham manager not to exploit him... Had it been any other manager they would have exploited him and eventually he would have received another red or yellow...
Which game were you watching? Vicario was the one who attacked him and he just retaliated. Maybe you should be reminded that Vicario received a card for his unnecessary attack.

Club legend is a BOLD shout. But I can't deny, he's really good.
Indeed Arsenal can win it all
And i hope they win at least the double this year (PL CHL)

I've always believed that we would've won the league with him last season, I still believe it
Yep. If he plays at Anfield last season then salah doesn't score that goal. That's 2 more points right there
We said that every season with players, the year before that it was saliba, lost him at the half of the season. We can rely on one players, we have tons of decent subs

Of course because clearly zinchenko is not a defender

Timber what a player
I wanna see Timber at RB just to give Ben White rest
and Calafiori on the left
It's only 4 games in. Mind you that Ben White has had enough rest. And he can always get a week off while the others are on international duty.
@@aabidamn Yea I was talking about later in the season, cause he played pretty much every game last season.
Tomiyasu is the 2nd RB
I'm sure we will see it soon once Tomiyasu is back
Excellent viewpoint on timber - I have to say with a better winger we should have gotten a couple of open play goals yesterday
An absolute beast. Like a brand new signing.
the crazy thing is timber have tick the box for all qualities to play as midfield
If he improves his crosses and shots he might be a winger
I admire his passion, you can tell how angry he got when he missed that in the box cross against spurs, he was livid at himself😂
As a doc, a cruciate injury aint easy to come back from, kudos to the guy and all tha best
For how technically sound Timber is, its surprising he prefers to center back, cause i could see him in mid
He’s like his twin; Quinten can also play across the defense, but he prefers to play CDM/CM
Absolute quality bro❤❤
Can play anywhere comfortably. Reminds of Zanetti.
Timber is a football business Man

Timber was very,very good
One of the best things about him is the idgaf attitude he shows the opposition
hes like abou diaby but in fullback postion. he made things look easy and effortlessly.
He reminded me a little of Ashley Cole in this game with his one on one defending, speed, anticipation!
I swear to god if we had him last season at lb we would of won the league

he is simply great quality 👌

I like double pivot more than the inverted LB. It allows the LB to overlap as well as help out Martinelli/Trossard

Wenger converted Henry from a winger to a 9, I believe Arteta should move Timber to DM and leave Calafiori to play as LB.
