Sir J, Dennis Simmons has known Lincoln Riley since LR was a bright-eyed freshman QB prospect at Texas Tech. To describe the relationship as Coach Simmons sums it 'is like a brotherhood' When Coach Riley said to Dennis Simmons, "I need you here" - meaning at USC, Coach Simmons' reply was, "What time and where?"... before hopping on the same plane to Los Angeles. Coach Riley's loyalty quotient is very high, which is why I believe he held onto Grinch until the last minute. Coach Riffin McNeill is a coaching mentor of CLR who saw his tremendous potential when CLR was a graduate assistant at TT. So when Coach McNeill was hired as the HC at E. Carolina, Coach Riley was made his OC and QB coach. And when CLR was made the HC at OU, Coach McNeill was hired as like the special advisor to the HC. Coach McNeill describes the relationship as "a boss - meaning CLR, a brother, and a dad and son." Coach McNeill had to take permanent leave to take care of his ailing 85-year-old father in Lumberton, NC ... I know Coach Riley honored his wish to return but was heartbroken to let him go in 2020 ... a someone who had been by his side since he was 19 years old! Coach Riley is indeed a "good and loyal dude" as a human being!
The first “worst moment” that comes to mind is when some of the USC players acted like fools when they came onto the field against Alabama not too long ago at AT&T Stadium in Texas.
Right On Fight On USCJ✌ Simmons also coached up Hollywood Brown and Dede Westbrook are some very skilled speedsters in the Zach category! Simmons coaching is perfectly blended for a Riley offence! ✌.Everyone will be surprised at the leap USC team takes this year now that the Defensive side of the ball has a competent staff that knows how to teach and win championships! ✌🏈✌
USC-J you hurt with this one bro lol. That entire day of the Texas game is my worst day /moment as a lifelong USC fan. I was on the golf course at 8:00 AM tailgating. I then through my brother in law found myself sitting at a table eating lunch with Magic Johnson and his team in the TWA tent. I left there heading for my seat and ran into Keyshawn Johnson and we spent about 5 minutes discussing the pending USC victory. The game was full of peaks, valleys and blind or crooked zebras. Then the unbelievable happen we lost. This was a great 15 hour day that ended horribly for this Trojan fan. FIGHT ON ✌✌✌✌✌
Great video J, yea I gotta say that was the worst moment for too, his knee was down 100%, man that hurts to the soul, it sucked bad cause we all can see his knee was down! Yea the whole SC defense is underrated, no love for Coach Link and Crew. The LSU player, well I look at it like this, he definitely did something wrong, that was a private moment and should not have filmed someone against their will or without their consent, he does deserve a second chance but definitely should be suspended for half the season or all of it. That must be embarrassing for the young women to find out her business was put out there like that, If it were my daughter I'd be pissed. That's why these young ppl should think twice about who they sleep with. I hope he wasn't an important player for them, when SC beats their behinds, I want no excuses✌🏽
The sanctions coming down was the worst moment because if not for that Pete Carroll is known as the goat 🐐 and the sec is never the power house it became
I have 2 moments. 1) The moment Pete Carroll pulled Reggie bush from the Texas game on 4 and 2. Should have had him on the field if even as a decoy. 2) The loss to Oregon State in 2008. cost us shot at Natty. especially knowing the BCS Screwed us because of that 1 loss early in the season. I'm still pissed about those to moments.
Vince Young knee, Bush errant lateral, no Bush on field on 4th and 2, Frostee Rucker not holding the edge on Young’s TD all were bad for USC. The worst was Ting dropping the easy interception on Texas’s last drive.
@@josephdiaz9640 Me and Hershell was classmates. That fumble ultimately led to Reggie Bush being the man he is today. I guessed it worked out but Herschel still goated in the city
That Texas Games was unreal. Reggie had that bad pitch which he had never done before. Lane Kiffen called that blast play on 4th and 1&1/2 (While Reggie was on the bench). Vince Young's knee was down and there was no replay. We failed to stop them on 4th and 6 at the end of the game. It was like The Universe didn't want us to win that game.
You know this is a what have you done for me lately league. Last year and this year, so far we’ve gotten the 28, 35, 55, 73 (247 rankings) ranked wideouts. Maybe it’s just me and I have a higher standard when it come to USC, and wideouts. I like the wideouts but let’s not pretend he’s been killing it this year and last year. When you have USC and a Lincoln Riley, offense behind you, I just expect more.
Ill reserve my opinions until I see the final product on the field. On paper there isn't a better staff. Can they put it together and make a huge impact
@@Privateers1-g1q he asked for what our worst moments were.. that was mine. Living in an area dominated by Oregon and Washington didn’t help. Everyone can act like it was no big deal but that set the program back significantly
Worst USC moment for me would be any loss ever to Notre Dame and the all of the missed tackles last season. As far as the LSU player hoping and praying he gets his life right.
I can definitely put that moment as one of the bad ones. Personally I believe the NCAA had their hand in that one. They didn't want to see USC win three in a row. We've known for awhile that the NCAA hates USC, look what they did for the sanctions concerning Bush. Hopefully this young man gets his life in order. Makes zero sense why young men would do such foolish things. Coach Simmons has done a great job with our WR rooms. He definitely deserves the credit that is due. And he's going to make this room elite again this season.
USC has never had a problem with the top Big Ten programs. Who do you think we are defeating in the Rose Bowl for national championships…Hello…Fight On!
A fan since 62. Agree with all your bad moments. Texas especially and also the Utah game was the worst refereed game ive ever seen. Worse than the infamous Soviet Union USA game where to this day they refused the silver medal. But i hated the worse the Bush/Carroll jihad sanctions. Our own president and AD surrendered and the whole pac 12 conference were vultures delighting and picking at our carcass. That's what killed the pac 12. Reggie's revenge. We're the showcase team in the money sport of west coast football. Once we're gone the kids, especially big kids weren't wanting to play football. They found other things to do. They hated us so much because of our success that they destroyed the conference. Pete would be known as the greatest coach, not Saban. Pete embraced challenges. Saban runs from them. Saban's a great coach, but he runs from a level playing field. The SEC is a joke because they use the NCAA to keep them on top. And espn is all on board. Fight on.
I agree with you J. He has done an outstanding job. An article from the L.A. Times today. USC’s Jennifer Cohen says Trojans are ‘well positioned’ for new revenue-sharing era.

I was terrible in math but good in sports. With that said just let the coaches achieve and grow and support them. That will give SC enough to be in top five nationally . It may take a few months. Not a question of if but when.
I wouldn't trade SCs wide receiver room with anyone's. I'm with you loosing to Texas in championship game. SC was the better team. Didn't play smart for once lost
@@USCJ I think you are into the history of it all. The following season, OJ came into play. Southern Cal went back to South Bend, and the juice went wild.
