Here is a visual and musical journey along the Thames covering the complete 184 mile Thames Path walk which I completed in 2013.
    What is the Thames Path?
"The Thames Path is a long distance walking trail, following England’s best known river for 184 miles (294 Km) as it meanders from its source in the Cotswolds through several rural counties and on into the heart of London. On its way the Trail passes peaceful water meadows rich in wildlife, historic towns and cities and many lovely villages, finishing at the Thames Barrier in Woolwich just a few miles from the sea."

The walk is very flat and pleasant and no part was excessively hard. A lot depends on how many miles you plan to do a day. There are some practical challenges though, such as: finding accommodation between Lechlade and Oxford as it's pretty quiet countryside; getting to the source at the beginning is a bit of a walk in itself before starting the walk proper meaning the first day is a long one; and some diversions can pop up here and there taking you off the path. We found all the info on the national trail website to be very useful and the guidebook we had really helped plan the journey. Enjoy your walk and good luck!
