What an event! 🧡 Amazing job Johno for putting everything together, and amazing job everyone with your performance: the more-than-three hours went by like a breeze. Honoured to have been part of this!
HUGE thanks to Johno and all the musicians for this awesome work and performances!!! Watching this show made me increadibly happy! It's moments like this when I realize that I didn't live my life in vain.
Vlad. This was a really special show, and we have you to thank. I'm positive I speak for all the artists who play your instruments. Thank YOU for your innovations and your generous spirit. This was an absolute honor - and a TON of fun.
Thank you Johno and Modular World for putting on such an amazing show. The performances were brilliant and really showcased the pulsar. Glad to be part of this community! Also thank you to everyone for their generous feedback in the comments - I was too slow to respond at the time; humbled reading them back now. 🙏🖤

Hey Modular World, Thanks so much for putting this together! I appreciate the hard work put in here by you, your team, all the artists and Soma. Very cool. It's great to hear the instrument and also be introduced to new artists as well. Cheers!
Thanks for the kind words. You're right, these shows take a lot, but it's just so worth it seeing the community shine like this. Brilliant. Again, thanks for being part!
This thing can produce some really amazing drum and percussive elements, From simple and straight forward to down right monolithically filthy, the thing that really peaks my interest in it is how it can be used to make those really subtle or in your face other worldly textures and melodic elements like Dexba does at 2:28:21 I've seen just a handful of people use it in this way now and what I'm realizing is that it's massively underrated and virtually untapped in that unconventional/experimental context and wayyy more than just a drum machine in regard to what it's potentially capable of.
Finally managed to listen to it all yesterday while working. It was really great to hear all the different approaches with the pulsar. Thumbs up to everyone involved!
Well, thank you! For a good modular podcast, I'd have to recommend our friend Tim Held, who runs Podular Modcast. Brilliant. A pillar of our community for years. podularmodcast.fireside.fm/ instagram.com/podular_modcast/
Yep, Wave by Genki. I connect it into my setup by having it pair with a Raspberry Pi (the small orange box on my table.) That box simply routes Bluetooth MIDI from the Genki out to USB MIDI. Then I use a Midihub by Blokus (grey box on the table) to pass USB MIDI to DIN MIDI over to the Pulsar-23. I have the three axes of the Genki Wave ring mapped to three converters on the left side of the Pulsar-23. You can see the label I put on the Pulsar-23 in my video to help me remember which axis is where. All in all, it sounds like a complex set up - but it is pretty much set it up and it just works from then on.
What an event! 🧡

@@ModularWorld aww you are too kind Johno! So much love and respect right back at ya!! ✨🐍
Whole lot of expensive gear in these videos... but most just sound to me like someone having a panic attack in the engine room of a freight-liner.
This is a great comment - I needed a good laugh today. Thanks for checking it out - I understand it's not for everyone. :)

That dude Shimura absolutely kills it.. Pls, someone tell me, he has a modified/turned modular Lyra 8, wired to the Pulsar?
It’s an Ornament-8, not a Lyra.
That's the Ornament-8.
