That is a fantastical piece of gear. Love the custom edition you did with SOMA. This is officially on my wishlist. I’ve been rocking the Arturia Drumbrute Impact. The Pulsar-23 looks WAY more fun and customizable for drum/bass tracks. 🤘🏼

Great choices for both color and knobs! There’s a reason road signs are black letters, yellow background. That’s the easiest color combination to read. The knobs keep the party going by looking better and being more functional. (You can easily get a snapshot of all of the 600 knobs at a glance.) I like the other colors, too. Yellow is the best one yet.

The video gets the creative juices flowing for what a person can do with the tools one already has but hasn’t entirely explored. Wave shapers, DFAM, various retro drum machines, noise, envelopes, distortion, fx, etc!

Eric Synths style knobs! Dope vid. I have one of these too (black one), they're so sick. Got the Lyra-8 too. Crazy thing is you can sequence all that stuff in the unit itself. The looper/sequencer is so dope.

Ha! Me too! I discovered andrew about a year ago through rob scallon and love the channel! But my cheap broke ass can't afford that much into gear when I've alreadu got guitars, basses, keyboards and software to maintain and upgrade, so i just went the free route with vcv and cardinal. My wallet (and my wife) is sighing with relief about that decision, but I'm having an absolute blast with it.

I already have one, otherwise I would get your custom version, it looks killer and those knobs are dope. sometimes it is frustrating and then it will sound like 100 machines at once. you have given me a few ideas to try out. and that light thing is insane as well as the sequencer. I have to get those.

Being able to conduct the signals through your body? Talk about feeling the beat. XD
Little tip for the "circuit bending" patch points: The capacitor (mark with 0.1 and 10) can be used like a sort of pulse to trigger converter (0.1 works better)
You make a lot a lot of dope music, but that beat around the 5:45 mark may have been the dopest yet.
Your tracks and content recently have been some of your best! I'm curious how your process has shifted in recent months. How are you coping with your partial hearing loss? Have you brought in anyone to help with production, mixing, mastering? How have recent life events changed the way you work, the way you play, and the way you feel music/art?

dude this pulsar 23 makes me want to curse like a sailor because this thing is effin insane. i have wanted a drum machine just like this, and while i knew this existed i didn't realize what it was. It's pricey but not undo-able, tho sadly I doubt ill be able to get your edition before the sell out unless I can get it on the used market. Luckily they make a few cool colors! Definitely grabbing one over the summer
would totally get one if I could fit it in my current mixer. such is life.

Soma make some amazing machines. Just really well-designed and well thought-out devices with unique looks and sounds. (I'd complain about them being out of my price range, but at the moment Behringer gear is out of my price range, so it's a bit academic.)

What a wonderful, inspiring machine. Touch panels AND being able to connect signal jacks with your fingers? It all looks so intuitive like you become part of the machine when you're experimenting with it. If only I had 2200 Dollars to spare...

i get that you absolutely HAD to show off the quantizing feature but the "sloppy" playing at 9:00 does have a really nice little groove to it lol
You can get patch cables with plugs that also have sockets so you can daisy chain. Using posts seems like a weird choice, they could have stuck with sockets and just included a big bag of pins that you could plug in to achieve the same result, which would give you the best of both worlds.
When you hit on that bass sound it almost sounded like you were about to play the mission impossible theme tune.
The pegs take up less space on the board, IIRC
Got a voyager when i started producing and didnt feel in need of any other analog gear besides distortion pedals ever since. Until a friend of mine got one of those

Interface makes a lot of sense and seem loads of fun, too bad there isn't an equivalent for less metallic and distorted sounds, if that's what you're into.
