Elon Musk is famous for using confused and vague language (like Trump). It is easy to imagine he would say "cancel" in regards to a negotiation of a contract yet to be signed. I don't know. In any case, there's either a signed contract or not. Or maybe an oral contract, but that's harder to enforce.
I believe the full interview runs most of, if not for a complete, hour. The way Lemon tells it, both parties wanted to do at least an hour as opposed to a short interview. That being said, Lemon was clearly caught off guard by suddenly being told that there was only 5 minutes left. That also being said, it was clearly a push by Musk to get Lemon to drop the question, and Lemon auto-calls his bluff and bounces back with the same question.

@JoeyBoBoey the guy agreed to be interviewed. Lemon didn't say anything that was a personal attack and did not ask about things he didn't say in a public forum or tweet. They were open ended questions that gave Elon the chance to answer however he wanted. That he, and you, saw those as "attacks" says more about him, and you, than it does about Lemon. It's not even that hard to spin. For instance, "Don, I'm one of the wealthiest people in the world, so a lot of bucks stop with me. Speech can get dirty and nasty, and if that happens in X, I can afford the consequences. It was silly of me to blame advertisers in the NYT interview as they have the choice to run their businesses as they like, just like I can run my business as I like." If Elon only wanted easy, friendly questions, he should have picked someone that doesn't believe in journalism. But then, that's not so much an interview as it is PR event.

He was presented a post that completely disgusted him- it showed a man and woman having sex then another man enters the room who proceeds to stab them both to death! Funny how the court made Elon pay 44 billion dollars to buy Twitter and he came up with the money right away. Trump can't even put up 10% of that 44 billion😅😅😅😅😅😅

There is a difference between speech and behavior, X can be a free speech platform and also moderate bad behavior. For example: Moderating harassment doesn't violate someone's free speech because harassment is a behavior not a speech issue, just because it uses words doesn't make it speech in this context. Actually I do have advertisers, lots of them, all of them nearly. They're mostly in Canada, you wouldn't know them.
We met at summer camp
they're all super hot.
all my advertisers are modeling agencies.
Yeah, we totally signed some contracts together over summer break, bro.
They go to a different school
Baby Elon needs a safe space. Thats my favorite part of the right wing hate of safe spaces. They ask for them more than anyone.
There's no one more fragile than the so-called "alpha males."
Elon Musk, the poor little rich boy with a difficult childhood. 😂😂😂

His father was actually abusive as hell. Money doesnt fix that, dont be an asshole.
Lemon talks to him like a toddler he doesn't want to throw a temper tantrum.
Appropriately so.

Friendly reminder that (far as I am concerned, anyhow) Christopher Walken portrayed proto Elon Musk beautifully in A View To A Kill
Max Zorin is Elon if he had a swoll black chick sidekick, a blimp and an actual plan of action (which is so damn Elon-tier lol). Bonus: Duran Duran theme song is absolutely best Bond film opening track, without question... but beware the cringe levels reached any time Roger Moore has to romance the ladies at that age 🤢
@thepolarphantasm2319 I agree with everything you stated, except: License To Kill by Gladys Knight is the best Bond film opening track.
A tough childhood with pockets full of emeralds.
To be fair, his father was an abusive shitheel and that no doubt left Elon with a fair share of damage

Elon is not as smart as he wants people to believe! Elon has fallen into most of his ventures with the help of money from his family! His hard life mimics the Donald's gold spoon childhood!
I agree Don did great job E should have wrote the question for Don or not interviewed at all
He used the word "cogent" like he just learned it yesterday
Elon Musk is famous for using confused and vague language (like Trump). It is easy to imagine he would say "cancel" in regards to a negotiation of a contract yet to be signed. I don't know. In any case, there's either a signed contract or not. Or maybe an oral contract, but that's harder to enforce.
Don Lemon has confirned that they were promised one hour for the interview so this 5mins business is pathetic.
@@merphulWho tf cares the dude can end the interview whenever he wants. Why would you sit there a continue to be attacked? lol. He isn’t running for office. This isn’t European media. This is the land of the free and the silent if need be. What is the upside of Elon continuing to field those questions? Put yourself in his shoes and consider that objectively.
@@JoeyBoBoey then why did he not just say, "I don't want to answer that"?
It was silly of me to blame advertisers in the NYT interview as they have the choice to run their businesses as they like, just like I can run my business as I like."
If Elon only wanted easy, friendly questions, he should have picked someone that doesn't believe in journalism. But then, that's not so much an interview as it is PR event.
@@JoeyBoBoey Lol imagine defending someone who is acting like a child while demanding everyone treat him like a king.

“I had a tough childhood” LMAO
Anyone who didn't own the company would have been fired for alienating advertisers so badly when advertisers are 99% of your revenue.
This is extremely incogent.
If you take out all the “umms” this video is only 48 seconds long.
I have almost completely stopped looking at Twitter. The only reason I have deleted it, is my husband sends me things to look at that he thinks I’ll like or he wants to talk about.
The other day he was scrolling, he follows space and rocket posts or random DnD things so nothing indecent or suggestive.
He was presented a post that completely disgusted him- it showed a man and woman having sex then another man enters the room who proceeds to stab them both to death!
I’m all for free speech but that should not be allowed on a public forum.
He was so shocked and said he couldn’t tell if it was real or not but he thought it was a snuff film. Seriously sick!!!
*”Choose your questions wisely, ??*
Don should have responded, “okay sir, what is your favorite color?”
Funny how the court made Elon pay 44 billion dollars to buy Twitter and he came up with the money right away. Trump can't even put up 10% of that 44 billion😅😅😅😅😅😅
1%
And he had to get a bond for 0.2% of that total.
Because he has a long history of not paying back his loans.
What about the advertisers freedom of speech? They can advertise or not advertise where they want.
You have to understand, when people like Elon say "freedom" what they actually mean is "I can do whatever I want to people and they aren't allowed to do anything." It's the fundamental fascist mentality, and Elon is very much a fascist at this point.
@@LaMarcheFutilé101 At this point? Elon left apartheid, but apartheid never left Elon.
@@whatthebeepvideos I mean, in all fairness for a long time Elon was playing the liberal in public. I don't know enough about him to say whether that was an act or whether he had some amount of genuine belief, but his public face at least was somewhere center-left.
But I suspect you are right, and that he had been harboring these kind of ideas for a long time before he found a way to switch teams and justify them to himself in the name of freeze peach and whatnot.
@@LaMarcheFutilé101 I suppose that whole "liberal" facade came crashing down when realized that "liberalism" meant that other people have agency and the right to act on it, too. Which was probably when his baby mama left HIM instead of the other way round, as usual.
I think there was someone off camera gesturing him to move on when Elon got emotional. I thought he did a good job. He's desperately trying to have a conversation with someone who is desperate to be combative and avoid every point that wasn't praise.
When Billie Joe Armstrong said "ONE MINUTE!", he had the justification of drug and alcohol addiction. Elon saying "You got five minutes...", it's because he has to face opposition.
Elon and all the "woke" haters always talking crap about cancel culture hurt feelings, then Elon literally canceled Don Lemon because he had hurt feelings. Does Elon not see the irony?😂
Elon and his types don't understand irony. Otherwise, they would understand "humor," which they don't.

You mean Twitter. X sounds like the name a 12 year old came up with to sound cool. Because it almost is.
@@winterhaydn The podcast _The Evening Rocket_ is an analysis of Elon, his weird racist origins going back generations, and how he fits in generationally with people more like Spielberg and Lucas (comic book stuff) than his own, etc. One revalation is he apparently thinks the letter X represents the ultimate coolness. He's named a bunch of things X previous to Twitter at different points in life. I highly recommend listening to it, it's really well done!
I don’t even know why people are in that rubbish social media anyway. I quit as soon as I heard Elon was going to buy that crap, because before I commented about him in his account I can’t even believe he phone me personally, and said to me. “Why are you giving negative things about me” I was like is he crazy calling people.
And people think this doorknob is a genius?
There is a difference between speech and behavior, X can be a free speech platform and also moderate bad behavior. For example: Moderating harassment doesn't violate someone's free speech because harassment is a behavior not a speech issue, just because it uses words doesn't make it speech in this context. Doxing is also a behavior because again it's not about expressing an opinion or idea it's about intimidation and retribution.
That smart people seem unable to distinguish the difference between speech and behavior is kinda scary.
I advocate for free speech, but be very careful with what questions you want to ask me 😂😂
Twitter is dead. Why don’t people just leave X.
