Looking forward to more "spectrum" videos :) Just like you, I am not a big fan of gendered labels on perfumes, it is only marketing after all. I have yet to find and try Rōzu which now sounds so tempting, and amazingly (of course, putting aside a whole lot of rose-saffron-leather-oud combos - the inevitable plague of every decent collection) I happened to enjoy a few rose perfumes from my wardrobe as well: 1. Selenion by Pola, and it's fortuitous counterpart, just judging from my experience - Tyrannosaurus Rex by Zoologist. The two share almost the very same rose accord (to my nose) and work beautifully in the summer; 2. White Rose by Shiseido, which starts quite gentle and over time turns into one of the most brutal floral perfume on my skin; 3. Paestum Rose by Eau D'Italie - a rather sophisticated and elegant Duchaufour's creation infused with a heavy dose of myrrh and opoponax. And a few of honourable mentions: Ajmal II, which I know you also love*, Halfeti by Penhaligon's - deep dark red oudh-ish rose, and Accendis 0.1 - bold oily resiny green rose for the cold weather. And I almost forgot L’Ombre Dans L’Eau by Diptyque, another interesting take on rose scents. *PS: I happen to have a different nickname here on RUclips, but we know each other Instagram, I'm @toughdesigner there ;)
Beautiful. My favorite, personally, is Guy Robert's original Amouage Gold Man which is very precisely what also could be called "Joy Pour Homme." Massive. and it's Guy Robert. When he took the commission to create it he was given no ceiling of cost and asked to make the most extravagant perfume the world had ever known by the Sultan of Oman, was it?--in any event, vas t and many are the ways he did. There's not much out there of his original, (1985-ish?) and I don't know what they did to it now, but it is Guy Robert, and rarely/never did that one ever go wrong: Patou "Lasso," which would cause you momentary dementia is also a Guy Rober,t and I believe your Doblis as well? In all cases: What an amazing gift you are to the world. We also want to remind that same world to tip their chapeaux to Cecil Beaton, who designed the costumes for My Fair Lady, and then, you know, obviously, people made them. Beautiful stuff DD--You are brilliant, and my own brother. Just exquisite.
@@pelleolofsson3182 oh yes, youre right! Ive only a few mls left in my bottle but recently found a sensational replacement from the middle eastern market called Dalla al Halwat by Khalis: a sweet saffron cloud in keeping with the Washington Tremlett!
