This course works best for those in the US. I have completed the whole course (ALL 8 COURSES IN THE SPECIALIZATION), but haven't got any job offers given that I live outside the US, where the IT sector looks for candidates with Computer Science or Statistics or IT degrees. Even to work as an intern, although you may have all the necessary skills needed to do the job like SQL, Python/R, Tableau/Power BI, recruiters may not consider you based on the Google Data Analytics Specialization alone. I have applied to various jobs of all kinds related to Data Analytics for the past 2 weeks straight, but I have had zero responses. If I do get a job I promise I will make sure to update it here, so anyone can see and figure out for themselves!!
Also factor in tech hot 🔥 and tech cold 🥶zones within the USA. San Francisco Bay area, Boston region, New York, and Seattle Washington are hot zones that are more open to hire Google certificate graduates. Oklahoma, Arizona, and Utah are cold zones that will most likely ignore it.
That's exactly one of my concerns, Im outside the US and Im just starting the course but I don't think it would be easy to get a job. Whera are you applying? remote jobs? Can we get in touch on linkedin or other social meedia to talk?
I have started the course got about more than halfway done and I can say although it is challenging at points. It was very rewarding when you finally understand the lesson or task. I beleive that this course will cater to individuals that want to pursue a sustainable career in the years coming foward because of the growing impact of data. I do beleive it is ideal to hone your skills outside the course and actually stacking another course on top because this is only the basics and beginnings of the work field from what I have researched. Still a Great Beginner Course!
Hey, Gray. Thanks a lot for this valuable comment. I've also been taking the Google data analytics course. Could you suggest some courses that you've noticed to be beneficial to help secure a job as a data analyst?
Enlightening video. Going through the comments I have lots of doubts about my plan of pursuing data analytics. Being a healthcare professional, with an entry level medical transcription job in hand, do you think doing the Google Data Analysis courses and simultaneously learning and honing my SQL, R, powerBI, tableau, Excel will help me get Data Analyst roles in the medical/healthcare field? I just feel neither my experience not my pre-existing qualifications make me a good candidate for these roles. All I have is deep interest in this field, because I've seen and handled a lot of medical data which has inspired me. The vast untapped potential of this data is the reason i want to learn these data science/analysis tools so that I can create something and impact the healthcare industry of my country.
I'd like to hear an update from you. How are things? I know a lot of people who have no actual work experience trying to land data analyst roles directly out of a BootCamp or college. The fact you have ACTUAL work experience and learning software programs, and would have a data analytics certificate. That's a triple threat. Projects are everything. And may can teach you how to sift through that data or similar data, like you want to do.
Can I apply for Data Analyst job in Google after doing Data Analytics Google certification ? Data Analyst job requires any prior experience? Or How it "depends", if so ? Please Reply me and help me.

It says that you can get a job with this certification but online all I hear is that you need a degree and atleast 2 years experience so seems like a scam
I am from Bangladesh. There are low numbers of positions for data analytics because our countries IT sector is not updated as other nations. Now, my question for #GoogleCareer is it possible to get a job sponsorship visa after completing the Goggle Data Analytics course successfully? If not what I have to do for this, please answer my question....

You should have minimum 2-5 years of experience as a Data Analyst.
