There are 2 or 3 hellboy animated films and a dramatization of Crooked man. I agree though it would've DEF been better as a animated show. Now with Invincible, Vox Machina, The Witcher and Castlevania all having their own animated shows it would've been better. There's a game as well
Wow! Amazing compilation! Peculiar in contrast between its other multiple recent updates and yet this Omnibus highlights those relevance to the initial epic of Hellboy! Especially his childhood, his Southern and European British misadventures! I adore such folkloric details and how it links them with modern repetitions! Simply wonderful! Intrigued that other short stories await us in Volume 2! What a thrill! Postscript: Spoilers The entire Hellboy Saga is literally CHAOSKAMPF!!
Midnight Circus, the Corpse, the Crooked Man, and hell even Pancakes are some of the best short stories I’ve ever read. And they get paid off further along in the story of Hellboy’s journey. Can’t wait for more Hellboy Dannymalt!

Fingers crossed 🤞 this is a big enough hit with your viewers that you'll consider covering the BPRD series as well. Plague of Frogs and the Devil You Know are great volumes but IMO don't come close to any of the Hellboy stories. But Mignola really hit his stride as a writer and BPRD: Hell on Earth is right up there with some of his best Hellboy stories and both are some of the best horror comics you'll ever read 🤘
Even though I haven't read Hellboy comics, I think Hellboy's adventures in Mexico was actually good, one of the stories was adapted in the 2019 Hellboy movie. A lot have happened to Hellboy in Mexico, when he was about 12 years old, since those take place in 1956.
Danny, I HIGHLY recommend that you check out " Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees." It's "Silence of the Lambs" meets "Dexter" meets "Animal Crossing."
I will never understand why hellboy never got an animated series, it would kick so much ass under the right team.
They did make some animated movies if you are interested.
