Wow! I remember when I was eight, I used to love hybrid animals because of Jurassic World. I would not only imagine combining dinosaurs, but also other animals. But as soon as I discovered speculative evolution, because of Dougal Dixon’s After Man of course. I eventually lost interest in hybrid animals. Even now, I prefer speculative animals, than hybrid monstrosities. With speculative biology, you can imagine the ecology, synapomorphies, and flesh out the behavior of a species. It offers a sense of realism, and depth. The “hybrid dinosaur” trend that Jurassic World started; is much simpler, and doesn’t offer the realism that speculative biology does. And there’s not really much to them, with every one of them just being “genetically engineered OMEGA killing machines!” to me at least. But, I think your art is the perfect idea for a hybrid prehistoric animal. I really love the creativity, and recognition you bring in using Drepanosaurus, and the more well known Kaprosuchus. T. rex, or Spinosaurus being mixed with every “AWESOMEBRO” dinosaur like Triceratops, or Velociraptor; is getting a little tiring at this point. And the design itself is really creative, but still remains clean, and natural. I feel like hybrid dinosaurs, and even other forms of media lean more towards awesomebroness, to the point where the designs are just messy as f%€k. Like the Ultimasaurus, or the overrated Scorpius Rex. Or other creature games like “Monster Hunter”, BITE ME FANS!!! So in conclusion, this is a great kick-ass design, for a kick-ass holiday. @@robinator789 I'm sort of meh on the scorpiuss design. It kinda looks like a lanky indoraptor who's face got hit with a frying pan. The personality and traits were pretty cool tho.
@@ichthyovenator3351 That’s exactly my issue! It is literally just the Indoraptor, with a majungasaurian head! They couldn’t even bother removing the sickle claws. The spines at least makes sense, with it being venomous. But what is the point of having the sickle claw at this point, besides making it overpowered.
@@robinator789 as a failed hybrid it makes sense narratively, I just wish more design features made it stand apart, like not having the gnarly teeth or spikes, but that’s just my opinion
Next time you want do draw Hybrid Prehistoric animals, can you do a video about a redesign of almost every hybrid you know? Examples are Stegoceratops, ankylodocus, spinoraptor, ecc...

The scorpios rex is not overrated, and definitely not a bad design, IDK what you're on about
