I think it could be fun to try to change some of the cheap models to look more scientifically accurate.
I'd probably need miliput or greenstuff for that but that's something I've thought about

@@ichthyovenator3351 Its pretty crazy seeing this comment and thumbnail, because my brother made a weird dilophosaur thing with the same cheap toy ruclips.net/video/tlrE7NoNsXA/видео.htmlsi=lY3kSMvbTwgaF7Nx And he used miliput to make a Spinosaurus that came with it 0:19 scientifically accurate! (He only uploaded the Dilo, and has all the other toys in the video too lol) Edit: just remembered he also repainted the baryonx into the night feeder from primal! Edit 2: now I've gotten them and the Dinos are watching with me. Beautiful colors and paint btw! Pls do more! T-rex, baryonx and triceratops would be cool!
The Dinoraul spino was a nice (and nostalgic) surprise! It’s giving me repaint inspiration as well…

Also, I found the most accurate looking cheap plastic ankylosaur at the Walmart a few months ago, plus some kind of raptor that was actually feathered, and in an accurate way! (Inexplicably, the hand only had a single finger claw on it, but otherwise it was pretty spot-on). Things are looking a little better for the accuracy of these cheap little toys

11:39 the creator of those spinosaurus renders uploaded them to a image sight along with hundreds of extinct creatures unfortunately passed away
when i was 8 or 9
i collected lots of these chinasaurs
and i still have them and most of them have bad paint jobs
so i might do this

I just used dollar store paints. probably not the most archival way to go about it but they're what I had lying around at the time.
Awesome job! I always wanted to do this, but my painting skills are mediocre. What's the primer called? Is it acrylic?
The primer is gesso. And honestly just go for it, you won’t improve till you do.
