Recent update problems? DJI RC2 - No map! DJI Mini 2 DJI Mini 3 Pro & DJI Mini 4 Pro

- New updates DJI Fly app on DJI Mini 2 DJI Mini 3 Pro and DJI Mini 4 Pro + DJI RCN1 DJI RC & DJI RC2.

I've been away for a month and missed a lot of the new updates for my drones - I did a few of them - DJI Mini 2, DJI Mini 3 Pro & DJI Mini 4 Pro. I had a few problems with these latest updates

lol that was a lot of updating, Shaun. Welcome home by the way. I noticed you had the same problem with the Mini 2 I’ve had recently with it returning home and being off more than 10 feet. I don’t know why it’s doing that and I’m not convinced it’s that gimbal hood thing I installed. I think there’s more to it. lol. Now then mini 4 pro no maps thing is definitely a head scratcher. The shout “Kevin!” Was hilarious!! Hopefully when you get back on Wi-Fi it’ll work out for the maps. I’ve already decided not to update to this one yet but if I decide to I’ll pay extra attention to the maps. Hahaha. Ive not had a quick brain wave lately. Awesome video man!
Thank you Kev, have to do some testing on the landings with them all! Managed to sort out the maps I think - I've re-loaded my off line maps and see if that works after I've done further updates - Air 3 and some of my older controllers :) DJI are here to test us Kev :)
You need to connect your controller to your phones hotspot to get internet for maps. You should allow the drone to hover over take off point for more precise landings. Don't forget to re download all your maps again 👍

Question Shaun. Did you have the RC2 connected via WiFi to your phone? The controller does need an internet connection to load maps. The update likely wiped out any maps that were previously cached in the RC2.

Following one of several recent updates on the RC2, I found that I could no longer draw a green box around subjects on the screen. Whenever I tried, I got a yellow exposure box instead. Yet another firmware update arrived today (12/08/24), 02.02.0300, and this has fixed the problem.

I live in the Murcia region and even here we have a few restrictions but thankfully along the coast it's fine - I sometimes travel down south - many thanks for watching.
I updated my mini 4Pro didn’t lose maps but I was flying close to home. I did notice on the return to home it was 2 feet off the pad???? It’s never been that far off.
Will do the update on the Mini4K tomorrow and report back.

I have just bought my Mini 4 pro with RC2. did all the updates and I lost the maps while I was home and using my home wifi, when I was using my phone hot spot wifi I had the maps. As I haven't even flown my mini 4 pro yet I have no idea what the problem is. I love watching your videos. Just to let you know I live in South Australia

It sure has John, I wonder how many more!!!! new drones coming out soon on the DJI Fly app - more updates coming our way :)
