I took an unintentional nap in my car during my lunch break and was woken up by a raven tapping on the windshield and as soon as I woke up we looked at each other and It flew away. Thank goodness otherwise I would’ve been asleep the whole afternoon 😂
My great-grandmother lived in the countryside and after each meal, she would give leftovers to a raven that frequently came by. She considered the raven to be her friend and could even distinguish him from other ravens because they met so frequently.
We live in NE Arizona, U.S., 6500 ft high desert & have had the fun of watching a pair for 2+ years, we them Dancing With Food & Gooble An Go & recently they brought Screams At Food which we think is one of their kids. We put out leftovers in the mornings for them when we we feed a few cotton tail rabbits & chipmunks. We leave our front door open while we sit sipping our coffee about 8:00 am every morning.
I raised a Raven. She has chosen to stay around, never caged, clipped or tethered. FREE FLYING! I started a RUclips channel. If anyone is interested in some of our interactions. Miss Cash is the experience and Blessing of my lifetime!
I've never realized how smart birds were until I went to Boston, Mass... While walking down the road, I saw a chicken standing on the shoulder...just standing there... I wondered why it didn't cross the road...and then I heard it... The raven, flying high above, crying out its warning: "Cah..! Cah..! Cah..!!!"
That's amazing! Shame you couldn't film it. I guess you wouldn't think about it when you witness something like this👍. I wouldn't think about filming it either.
You bring insects to your female and she likes it, but whenever I try to charm females by bringing them insects the scream and reject me. That doesn't seem fair.
You didn’t include Australia, where they are called Crows. We also have a black-and-white raven called a magpie, which have even come into our house when on the scrounge.
The video is a general one that aimed at providing an overview of Ravens. We will try to plan a video on Australian Ravens if footages are available. Furthermore, Australian Crows and Australian Ravens are two different species. Also, Magpies are not ravens but are a different species from Ravens and Crows. You can confirm these info by performing a quick search on the net👍 .
I said in my earlier comment that the magpies that hung around my apt in alaska was simular in smartness …at least they seemed pretty smart…..i think the ravens were ‘ore intelligent but not as strikingly pretty!
We have ravens and crows in Australia, I love the Australian raven!! The little raven there a few more. I feed my local birds, makes my day when a raven or crow glide down to me for some food lol
And I love watching the magpies bath in my big water bucket, I've made some perches, there's a few nest across the road and another of birds with one bad foot, so I feed a few. Play music for them all lol I need a life 😊
I lived in alaska for a yr and a half and had never seen any before and they literally were always trying to figure things out…u know, like how a racoon will go the other way but they are actually just sneaking around your flank and going into your garage as they know u are looking the other way…..that kinda thought ….anyway, i lived in an apt bldg and they would go,thru peoples stuff if it was in the back of an open truck ….they always did that and they destroyed several boat covers people had on their boats in the extra parking area …..they talked alot and had a cool vocabulary…a black, and white bird hung around the bldg too and seemed very intelligent…i just cant recall the name right now!… .. magpie!!!!!!!!
The video is not about if ravens are intelligent, but about their behavior. Whether they are intelligent is a conclusion you make after watching the video.
As far as I know, when you look at ravens from a distance, they are black but the color can be brownish black or blueish black. However, some ravens like the white-necked raven has white feathers on the neck, and the brown-necked raven has brown necks as their names indicate. If I am missing something here, I will love to learn something new from you 👍.
I feed this Raven 🐦⬛ at work and 1 day he un zipped
my bag to help himself…..So smart
Indeed, they are very smart birds 👍

That's Cool
@masterchimichanga117 Raven o'clock?
I remember back in collage I saw a raven fly out the back of somebody's pickup with a big ass Burger King bag in it's mouth. Beautiful creatures.
Indeed, they are beautiful, intelligent, and versatile creatures👍.

You didn't mention anything about their relationship with Wolves.
Indeed Steven but a very interesting topic for a new video. Thanks 👍.

A good one 😂.
Too bad humans can’t be more like ravens!
Indeed, we should learn from them and with an even more open mind 👍.
I would love being able to swoop down on people I don’t like and poke them in the head!
Thanks for sharing this very interesting Video ❤
Glad you enjoyed it
Is that a hawk sitting there with raven?
Great video

Thank you very interesting
Glad you enjoyed it 👍.
I was surprised to see ravens at Sam's Club parking lot. Guess they are urban ravens.

The amount of neuron's in their brain 🧠 is similar to many monkey's & weighs around 14g.
Interesting
Plus, avian neurons are denser than mammals, so more brain cells per unit volume.
Thanks 😊
Welcome 😊
They mourn their dead like elephant ls. They mate for liffe and they remember faces and will tell the other birds if your good or bad lol
love a raven doing well in uk after centuries of persecution
Are Ravens intelligent though ? It doesn't say in the vid. Well, it doesn't say so any more than 30 or 40 times, so, i just wanted to check.

@@pogipogi7166 I have a spotted Loucitick Raven with white blotches and black eyes I’ve seen it for the past four years very rare color pattern
Could do without the subtitles
Thanks for the comment Newhailman. However, there are a lot of viewers who need subtitles for better understanding.
@@animalbehaviorcorner7972I appreciate the subtitles. I am not deal either. I simply prefer to read RUclips content over listening to voices.
