nobody cared about independent creators, even in the 80's animators had to make animations about toys instead of their own characters. Now if you want a cartoon to have some audience you gotta give that idea to a big corporation and if it isn't a hit, say good bye to that cartoon. At least we have other ways of getting something independent done, like with crowd funding and the splash indie games are making, but even now we have big guys like youtube tearing down the idea of independent creators in favor of late night talk show hosts, and celebrities. Excuse me, i thought this was You-tube, not Celebrity-tube. The people that gave this site power is being ignored as this site wants to be like tv, and not social media
Hey Eli, just a tip. You should have gotten a couple bags of concrete and done a dry pour at the bottom of the holes then packed over with soil. That way at sub freezing temperatures the posts won't warp with the ground as the water in it freezes and contracts. It's not necessary but it will make the fence stay straight and last longer. I don't know the frost line in Ohio but I know the frost line in North Carolina is 12 inches and is where I live. Btw I'm a professional fence builder. (P.S. the only reason I say dry pour is so that the concrete can absorb the moisture of the soil around it. If you do a wet pour an a rainstorm comes through it may absorb too much water and become brittle. Just trying to help your investment. Thanks
Pyrobob 5 I prefer Eli's vids because he has a similar working setup to what I have together for making my own weapons, where Alec's setup probably cost more than my freaking house
I know it's been so long since we saw each other last I'm sure we'll find someway to make the time pass hey moon it's just you and me tonight everyone else is asleep
Eli: Alec Steele is a genius for uploading a video everyday. It helps with revenue and not being as affected from being demonetized! Also Eli: *Doesn’t upload for 4 weeks* (thanks 4 the content Eli👌)
By far, and by pure cosmic coincidence that it happened at this time, my favorite part was 4:20 when you were trying to start the auger and those audio edits were absolute heaven to listen to
literally your quality of videos has improved with your moods and i love it. i get so excited when i see a new vid pop up. funny and entertaining. great work
Also incase any of you didnt get ths joke, it's not really a one man auger it's just a normal drill, but please dont make fun of him he cant help it he has small pock
I’ve been watching you for 2 years and I love everything you make just bc you’re a cool and funny guy. I love that you started the odd jobs videos. You don’t have to make weapon videos for me to enjoy your content. Keep it up
I subbed a while ago and always find myself checking in again, I don't watch vids often but I've been subbed for like 5 years, it makes me happy to see him still making the same content I enjoyed back then
This was really cool, I'm training my plants as well so instead of one big stalk it'll grow into a bush and flush out allowing the sunlight to hit everything not just the top.
I enjoyed watching you make this. But. One problem, it's not going to last long. You should have put cement in the ground around the posts so it wouldn't go anywhere
Haven't had the chance to watch any of your videos since April 16 (I was at an 8.5 week job interview where I could only use my phone for like 3 to 5 phone calls) so seeing your odd jobs made me pretty happy. I'm a little sad they're not weapon videos but ya gotta do what ya gotta do and I get that. God bless you, Eli.
Just wanted to say thank you for getting me into crafting. I wonder if I would have wanted to become an electrician and sell my crafts on the side if I hadn’t seen the wonders of working with your hands from your videos (my dad is a business man). I watched one of your videos some time ago when I was in high school and I’ve been watching you since. Never change man.
Been watching you for a little over a year now if my memory serves me right, and man, I don’t give a single heck what type of content you put out my dude. Imma be watching
Love your videos brother. It's so awesome that you thank the Lord Jesus for helping you (bc He sure does doesn't He). And it is so nice watching videos WITHOUT interlaced SWEARING! Ugh! Thank you thank you three bags full. LoL! Oh yeah, I liked your funny sunny jokes. LoL! I am getting my 76 year old Dad hooked on your videos too (sent him a link and he actually got the video himself. 👏👏👏 WTG Dad!!! 😁 I told him how kewl that you're videos always are and how much that he would like them. I swear, he thinks of stuff and just makes it, builds it, figures out how to do whatever he ponders. He is amazing! Well hey, catch ya on the flip side. Oh! Love the tree branch training too. Smart! Constant and metered pulling by weight, nice dude! 😁 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 Later daze brother.
Ely, while i do not agree with everything you say, you are legitimately one the my favorite youtubers to watch. i hope nothing but good things happen to you, you deserve it. thank you for the videos, they always help me chill out.
There is so much effort and well done editing that goes on your channel, it honestly goes unnoticed to some people. All I’m gonna say now is, Eli, keep doing what you love and don’t stop it
Came home from work to ZNA vid, evening made! Was out of work for a few months until recently, definitely gonna try and donate next weekend to help keep you in work so you can keep making us that good-good new-new that only you can make, my guy!
What a wholesome video. Just some excellent editing, a beautiful soundtrack, two hardworking fellows and a job well done. Keep up the fantastic work my dude
i started watching this channel for the cool weapons, but I stayed for the amazing personality. if you cant sustain your life by making weapons then so be it, id watch you build a patio start to finish even if it took months and 23 parts to be completed
I am entertained even though I've watched seven minutes of the video and only seen you name your funders, cut a steel piece, and dig a few holes with a rental auger. Probably will skip a few videos until next winter and check in on you again. Keep up the good work
I’m not at all interested in a split rail fence, but damn it all if I’m not gonna watch everything this man puts out because he deserves it and he needs the cash. Also this man can make anything interesting lol
No point in correcting it now, but for future fence projects; your fence will last longer if you bury the bases of the posts with gravel. It helps water drain away faster, keeping it dryer and delaying the onset of rot. You can also seal the buried portion of the post with tar to further increase the lifespan of your posts. I had to replace 16 posts from the split rail at my old house because the previous owner just buried them. They were only about 5 years in the ground and rotted enough that the wind broke them right at the ground. I had to undo and redo about 120ft of the wire fencing that was stapled to it to keep the doggos in after digging up the rotted bases and replacing those posts. Learn from my pain
Eli your Chanel is great, take it anywhere you want, odd jobs, weapons, blogs. You make great content! P.S. I think it's a soft J in Janson ( Yan-sun )
G’day Eli, Australian here! Just a bit of advice for the tree you moved outta the way: you shouldn’t tie the paracord around the branch, that leads to ringbarking and can be really bad for the tree. If you just loop it over and keep it tight enough, you shouldn’t need to tie it up :D Love the vids, keep up the great work
You have (effectively) just girdled that tree. When you wrap something around a tree like that you cut off the cambrian layer which can quickly kill a tree. Tie a tourniquet around your arm and see how you feel after a couple days. Simple solution: add some kind of growth blocks. Something as simple as putting four or five sticks around the tree under the rope would work. That way there's still openings for nutrients to pass through.
I love this series! It makes me happy to see you improving your home and id love to build one of these one day with my girlfriend when we finally buy a house. Keep on keeping on man! Love the videos!
FYI concerning the tree, it would be better to get a lag bolt with and eye hook and drill that into the branch vs wrapping the tree with the rope. The rope will cut off fluid transfer to the tree. As always love the vids
I know your pain of fencing. I work as a rancher in TN and had to hand dig 3 ft holes with a digging bar because of they clay. I dug 89 fence post holes to fence in an acre and a half of cattle land. Worst 2 weeks of my life. But gained a bit of muscle from it
I hate how RUclips really is killing the independent creator and glorifying big corporations.
They want to make youtube into the new cable.
