Something about your humor and workflow is just great. You could upload a vid of yourself going to the store to get a gallon of milk and it'd probably be soothing and fun to watch.
I've been here for a while and I've seen you grow and develop over the years, but there's this thing you have that both helps and hurts you, and its how critical you are on yourself. Its great because it will push you to do better and better, but its damaging because the standard you sometimes hold yourself to is so high that it feels like you consider it a failure to not satisfy everyone.
You make great content, man. You've come so far. This was fun and enjoyable to watch. Your editing was great, the music was on point, your humor came through, and the more casual feel of the video was refreshing. Its nice to see a mix up every now and then. And personally I enjoy side projects like your pull up bar. Its fun to watch you just throw some stuff together real quick.
I was gonna say push ups for the productive, not time consuming, time-taking, not (super) addictive task because it requires no equipment, but that's just me. Great video, Eli. You SHOULD make more videos about the "boring" stuff you gotta do -- we, your fans, would love it (especially because ya gotta consider that we'd get more content that way, and we kinda crave it).

I started watching your stuff way back when I was in highschool, I remember watching the stop sign buzzsaw axe and the penguin hammer with the parachord handle. An alternate answer to your pullup bar dilemma is to pick a song close to the transfer/render time and dance to it. Definitely engaging, it's also exercise!

I just enjoy seeing people in their shops working! I don't care if you're making shelves, knives, bows, or just tearing something apart to see how it works! I'm down to see it!
When I've got like 5 minutes to burn but don't want to loose track of time, I find picking a song of similar length and just chilling to that one song.
I've always had trouble with keeping track of time especially when I don't have a clock to look at, and have used music as a measurement for time for a while.
Also works good if you make a playlist of a specific length for longer amounts of time like that, such as taking too long of showers which I was always bad for.

I know you may think these types of videos are boring, though I treat your videos as a style of visual ASMR. I enjoy playing Runescape and having your videos in the background watching the process what ever it is. The editing and explanations are like a cherry on top to help me learn and laugh
Honestly, if ya started posting small videos about the jobs ya dont record I’d watch em because these are well nice, they may be “boring” to you but i thoroughly enjoy watching / hearing ya work on stuff. I love Eli's videos even though the topic might not be what I'm in the mood for I still watch the video because the way he does his videos there always a joy to watch. I really do believe that he gets alot less recognition for how enjoyable his videos are because they are top tier.

word games like wordscapes are what I go to when I need to pass like 5 minutes. It expands your big brain and it gets really boring after like 10-15 minutes.
Make titanium armour plates with a 1/2 inch space inbetween the plates. And have solid armor plates with that built in 1/2 gap in to each plate. This makes the armour light and also more bullet proof.

I think you overestimate how interested we are in seeing the “ZOMG EPIC BU1LD!!!1!” and underestimate how much we like hanging out with our friend (one-way friend, but still…) Eli. Put whatever video out on whatever schedule you want. Just know that it’s you and not the builds specifically that we come to watch. So odd jobs are fine. Alpha mail is fine. Cool builds are awesome, but not strictly required by us.

Wow, can't believe this video was so boring. It's almost as if editing to show the satisfying bits while still including the process of getting from point A to point C via point B where point B is hours of time that we don't see because there's some pretty decent comedy/commentary in between is actually what makes whatever you put out actually good to watch

I doubt you’ll see this, but on the off chance you’re bored and reading your comment section, here’s an idea. When I was younger I was on my martial arts “demo team”, and we competed with bo staffs, nunchucks, swords, and sparing, but my favorite was the Kama competitions. Any chance you could make a set of Kamas? (and if you’re down for it, a case too!) been dying to see your take on these beautiful weapons.
