Oh my gosh, do you know how much frustration you saved me with this video?? I wish I could give you a million dollars or a puppy but I don't have either, so please just accept my heartfelt thank you!!
My thumb was not enough, even with rubberized gloves on. I used a small C-clamp and slowly tightened it until the rollers would not roll when pulling the inner slide. One I was afraid I was going to damage the rollers since I had to tighten it several times before the slide came off. Thanks for the tutorial. I hope the manufacturers are watching this.
Thank you SO much for taking the time to make this video. My kitchen project was possible thanks to you!! I was so stumped and thought they couldn’t be taken apart 😅
Thanks for the video! Unfortunately this did not work for me, but repeatedly contracting and then yanking the pieces apart as hard as I could in a fit of psychotic rage in order to demonstrate to my wife how impossible they were to get apart did the trick! 🙄
How'd we live without RUclips? Thank you! Even easier is to put something like a small screw in a hole underneath to prevent the middle piece from sliding and it'll come apart even easier.
Bless you!!! I resorted to hammer and chisel, and 30 minutes later, I had ONE. (Five more to go!) Their instructions are pitiful, to say the least. I have a healing broken wrist (post-surgical plate), and I could NOT pull these apart. Thank goodness for your intelligence here. You should be a technical writer for companies with poor instruction manuals, like Richelieu's. :)
This method didn't work for me, but the concept is what works. I positioned the guide as he did in the video and gripped the inner slide and side of the slide with a pair of pliers and the upper section slid right off easily. The key is to prevent the middle section from moving with the upper piece you are trying to remove. I hope that makes sense.
This helped me. I ended up locating the end of the middle piece in one of the screw holes and stuck an allen wrench into the hole to prevent the middle section from moving while I pulled the ends apart. Thanks for explaining.
Thank you Okie. I was on the same boat with Jennifer. The instructions only say, "pull through the friction." They say nothing about holding the bearing plate in a stopped position and that we are supposed to separate the drawer part from the bearing plate portion,
There is a hole underneath to stick something into that stops the middle slide at about the position shown in video. If you use that hole, you wont need to try and hold it tight with your thumb. Good video.
The problem with these slides is that once installed on the drawer, if you ever need to remove the drawer fully from the cabinet enclosure, there's no way to do it.
This was great, I struggled for an hour before deciding that I couldn't possibly be alone in this. I used needle nose pliers to pinch the side, between two bearings, holding the ball bearing piece in the lower portion and pulled. It came right off. Shame on Richelieu.
OK, this did work for me too. The biggest challenge is making sure the bearing plate is still, does NOT move. Then it'll separate with a little effort. It really sucks. I'm not sure if the Home Depot one is better or not.
I found a easier way guys !! Under the slides there’s a hole right in the middle just stick something inside there to hold the ball bearing slide and just put it it’s a lot simpler works on all size
This DOES NOT WORK. The concept is somewhat correct but what I found worked was to take a little screw or something small enough and slide the ball bearing piece back and there is 1 hole you can stick a screw or small screwdriver in to hold the ball bearing piece from moving and take and slide the outer piece off while the screw is holding the ball bearing slide from sliding with the outer piece you are removing.
This worked perfect! Just have it to exactly how he has it (about 3 bearings left showing) and apply ALOT of pressure down and it will work. I used 2 fingers and some body weight haa!Richelieu should be ashamed of themselves with their pathetic instructions.
Thanks for the video! I actually went to the company's website, hoping they would have better instructions, and that was a waste of time. Then I searched on here and found their own video of a guy impersonating a mime. Instead they have writing on the screen, I guess they don't have common sense. If they couldn't write instructions well enough on the packaging then why do it again on a video? Anyways, the guy yanks the slide apart instead of the easier way that you describe.
I had to use needle nose pliers and grab the ball bearing tray and hold it from moving. Then pull the inner slide out. It came out easy but took two people. Worst instructions ever!
I just put up a video to show how to separate after installing this, and a better way to separate when it has not yet been installed: ruclips.net/video/pPy3n6FP2V0/видео.html
Nope. Didn't work. Just another piece of crap from Lowes. Doesn't matter, the screws probably wouldn't have held in the piece of crap Lowes cabinet anyway.
Thank you so freaking much! It's incredible that the package does not tell you this, but your video saved the day! God bless you, son.
This video is 10 years old and it came to me right in time. My husband and I are legit struggling. We thought it was defective , lol.
Thanks you
Glad I could help!

Ridiculous that I had to search online for this information instead of it being in the "instructions." Thank you for posting this!

You are my hero. I’ve been yanking on these things for a half an hour and ran across your video
Thank you very much for doing this video. We bought two of these today and could not figure out how to get them apart. You saved the day.
Thanks for the video! Unfortunately this did not work for me, but repeatedly contracting and then yanking the pieces apart as hard as I could in a fit of psychotic rage in order to demonstrate to my wife how impossible they were to get apart did the trick! 🙄
Thanks. I was ready to return the product then I saw your video!
Just got one today. You saved me from going insane. Thanks!

Thank you!!! I was trying for a good 20 minutes at this!
Thank you, it was driving me crazy
Most helpful video on the internet today. 😂 So simple and so needed. Thank you!
Should this method work also for the 16" model, T35072G16?

That worked for me just holding the tip of the middle section with a pair of pliers the drawer section slid right off. thanks
Thank you, that was short, sweet and to the point and solved my problem!

This is the way! Thank you.
You are a hero
Thanks so much! I could not get these apart to save my life!
Omg, thank you. I'm replacing these in my dresser and I was about to throw the pieces across the room because I could not separate them.
The problem with these slides is that once installed on the drawer, if you ever need to remove the drawer fully from the cabinet enclosure, there's no way to do it.
Great video, helped me a ton! Thank you!

thank you so much this is what worked for me!!!!
Thank you both: Okie Sellor and Fuzzy Yellow!!The video is perfect, but did not work until I used Fuzzyyellow advice.
Thank you thank you!
Thanks, you saved me a lot of heart burn.
Thanks... Exactly what I needed...
I should’ve kept trying this way now. I can’t get it a part at all after watching your part two which did not work
OK, this did work for me too. The biggest challenge is making sure the bearing plate is still, does NOT move. Then it'll separate with a little effort. It really sucks. I'm not sure if the Home Depot one is better or not.

This was so helpful - thanks!
No problem i was struggling myself watching all the videos I can find and none worked for me till I just decided to figure it out myself
Thank you so much smart stranger!!!!!! Even with the pressure trick, I had a hell of a time. Your idea worked like butter!
Thank you!
Thanks. (didn't work on the 16 inch partial extension thought).
Thank you, thank you, thank you. Here it is many years later and the manufacturer instructions are still non- existent
I have tried and tried and it will not come apart. :(
Thank you so much!!!
We tried your method but it doesn't work on Reliablit slides.. 😓
Thank you
Ok but how about a video of installing
how do you install it?
An easier way is to insert a rod into one of the holes of the cabinet part, which will hold the ball bearing retainer.
like saver! thank you!
I am in Melbourne Australia. I am looking for four of these for a project I am doing. 15inch(38cm)
Had to pry mine open a bit....I'm putting some lubricant on cuz these things aren't the smoothest
mine still won't budge. taking it back tomorrow :(

Well, The dang ones i Got from Lowe's will not pull apart. I have done everything but pull a Switch Blade on it.
thanks for this video. the instructions with this piece are the absolute most detailed worst instructions ever.
never mind. that didnt work
You saved my bacon! Could NOT get these apart.
