  • In this tutorial you can learn how to monitor the exsisting water injection project in terms of Petroleum Engineering, Reservoir Engineering and operations.
What is the Injection/Fall-off test and what is the benifits of performing it.
What kind of data should you need to acquire and how frequent is it.
What is the importance of the production/injection data.
How to measure the reservoir saturation periodically and re draw the hydrocarbon potential map.
Thermal Decay time log TDT, Reservoir Saturation Tool RST, Pulsed Neutron Neutron PNN are the common tools to measure Sigma values in cased holes whic detcting the saturation of the fluids behind casing and canprovide you with clear picture of fluid movement in the reservoir versus time.

Good work. it's my pleasure to explain more advanced issues in water injection analysis such as: injection above frac gradient, out of zone injection analysis, fractures description in elongated water injection wells, time dependent skin in water injection, high rate power injectors and turbulence effect observation, .... . Please e-mail me and we can arrange a live podcast. Regards. Tarek

Why the debit increase when we stop injection ??

You are right, the injection rate should be decreased in the injection rate chart
