    Great video! Helps a lot.
    I Would like to know if it's possible to use calculator just for a specific lithology (maybe using if?)
    For exemple: SwArchie, which is only for Sandstones, so it doesnt make sense to calculate for the rest of my log. So I wanted to know if you can condition the calculation for a specific lithology, or specific range of the log.

      It is easy..... Just refer to the code of that certain Facies in If equation...

    • @joaovictorfernandes9829
      @joaovictorfernandes9829 3 года назад

      @@geoscienceskills4839 I can't :( . I tried the following expression: If(Facies = 1 .Sw.U).
      Sandstone code is 1 and Sw is my saturation log.
      The ideia was define Sw just for sandstone. But petrel say: Can not use variable 'Facies' for scalar expression.
      What did I do wrong?

    • @geoscienceskills4839
      @geoscienceskills4839  2 года назад

      For example
      Facies model = if (gamma ray log > 50, shale, U)

    Thank you so much. Could you show how to display drilled wells on porosity mapping?

    Great video, but I would like to ask is there any method to do petrophyiscal evaluation for the well using petrel, and thanks in advance .. 👍

    Thanks for the video, can you add one with fractions from facies logs…

    • @geoscienceskills4839

      This video shows how to calculate lithology fraction from welltops... Instead of doing Pie chart... Go to Make Edit surface process to map the Facies

    Hi Tutor. Great video! However, I am having the challenge of getting a boundary. I have all the porosity calculated but the ' edge around Top Tarbet' is difficult for me to calculate. How did you calculate your edge of Top Tarbet? Thanks.

    can we use kriging for the algorithm so I can define the variogram first for the dimension and trend.. or if how you define the trend and dimension using convergent interpolation? thank you in advance

    Is it possible to import porosity from IP and generate the map?

      Petrel except different file format... So u can export data from IP as ASCI /LAS/TXT/DLIS...others

    I am notable to define the zone, I am selecting the well top horizon instead of the zones from Stratigraphy (I am not able to add zones to startigraphy), hence my map is a surface map and not a depth wise porosity averaged. Please help.

    • @geoscienceskills4839
      @geoscienceskills4839  3 года назад +1

      U can add zones to Stratigraphy by right click on well top > insert horizon above or below
      However u can go through the steps in the video and make sure that you are selecting one well top at a time (activate it) and deactivate the rest
