@@jpmking9635 I-440 is a sieve, and there is congestion at the portals to pass through in or out. (Minimum access highways always cause this on the surrounding city streets). However once you get a few blocks beyond it, there isn't any difficult traffic anywhere inside the beltline. That's because there are OPTIONS. Outside the beltline the design leans heavily on major arteries, and there are few of them per square 10 miles. This is why we had the debacle on 1/18/05. There was a marked difference in traffic flows ITB/OTB that day.
We pretty much only have "horrible" traffic on I-40 during rush hour (RTP and around the SE Wake construction) and around Crabtree. Go to Atlanta or Northern Va. and see what I mean (those areas, btw, have "transit")

I grew up in 2500 sq ft split level house for family of 5 and we were crawling over each other.

@@edp3202 I have 8 people living here in my house. Can't do any inside roller skating but it's not too crowded for to sleeping and watching TV. Nobody needs 3500 sq feet.

@@hothotheat3000 many good points. I longed for a two story OR ranch house around 3000 sq ft with large bedrooms, closets, bathrooms, and kitchen. Our split level 2500 sq ft house drove our family insane. Misery. Cramped city.
