Burano - Island of Color

Burano is an amazing island located in the same Lagoon as Venice, Italy. Every house is painted a different color, and the colors are so saturated that it looks like someone boosted the Vibrance slider. Legend says that the houses were painted in bright hues so they could see their way home when fog blanketed the lagoon. This is an amazing place to visit if you are traveling to Venice. Take the number 12 Vaporetto from Venice to get there (45 mins boat trip). Plan on spending at least half a day wandering the streets.
