    I can't believe how this came up. I was having my morning devotions and I was reading a Greek interlinear bible. I also was praying that God would reveal something to me to help my faith in the Bible. As I was reading it I got a notification that John Piper just posted a video on RUclips called isn't the Bible full of errors. And I amazed how it became apparent that God heard my prayer and said heres something for you. The interlinear bible is helpful, if you want to research each word to compare it to context in the Bible, as long as you understand the way it was written in the time. Unfortunately many don't, so looking for proof through this means can be somewhat unhelpful if we don't understand the full history of the language. We now rely on the translations of upstanding scholars to interpret it faithfully. I have found a couple versions that do it well. Regardless..... This video seemed to be a direct answer to prayer for me in my morning devotions and I am thankful to God for hearing my cry for faith building in a way I did not expect at the exact moment I ask for it. God is good

      (hierarchy within the triune God).
      John 1:1 > In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.
      1 John 5:7 > For there are three that bear record in heaven, the Father, the Word, and the Holy Ghost: and these three are one.
      Revelation 20:14 > And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death.
      1 Corinthians 15:24-28 > Then cometh the end, when He shall have delivered up the kingdom to God, even the Father; when He shall have put down all rule and all authority and power. For He must reign, till He hath put all enemies under His feet. The last enemy that shall be destroyed is death. For HE hath put all things under His feet. But when HE saith all things are put under Him, it is manifest that HE is excepted, which did put all things under Him. And when all things shall be subdued unto Him, then shall the Son also Himself be subject unto HIM that put all things under Him, that God may be all in all.
      God who is Spirit, is Triune and in His Wisdom from timeless past has 3 dimensions, The Father, The Word and The Holy Spirit, that becomes manifest according to the "need" and "time" to be manifested to His Creation primarily Mankind. When all is done (1 Corinthians 15:28 and God is all in all) after the redeemed are born again and themselves in eternity on the New Earth, God who is Spirit will dwell with Mankind and thereafter 2 of the dimensions are subsumed into HIMSELF because their manifestation is redundant as there is no further "need" and besides there is no "time" ; the Son, the Word becoming flesh, has already (in obedience to the Father from the beginning) fulfilled His role and "Holy" being the essence of Spirit of God has no independent role.

    I am unsure of my salvation because I do not seem to delight in God or feel any love for Him. I obey Him out of obligation and fear of Hell, rather than obeying out of love. So what do I do now? How do I make myself feel the emotions that are necessary for salvation? Since I am asking God to give me those emotions and I am still not feeling them, does that mean that I am not one of the elect?
    John Piper often speaks of how delighting in God and treasuring Him above all else is necessary in order to go to Heaven, but what should one do if they do not delight in Him or treasure Him? I'm beginning to lose hope and I think I may be a lost cause.

      @ReadJohn824 5 лет назад +5

      Kylee B I understand where you are coming from, I too have struggled with assurance. Biblically, salvation is more then a feeling or an emotion. If God has granted you repentance and you have sincerely called out to Him and asked for forgiveness by faith alone in Jesus Christs substitutionary death and resurrection, and have repented of your sins and started to make a sincere effort to wage war and overcome your sins, then those are the fruits of regeneration and salvation. Our desires for God and delight in Him stem from Him granting us deeper understanding of what He has done for us through His beloved Son Jesus. Do we love Him perfectly? Not even close, but Jesus will recognize our imperfect love and affection towards Him if we are sincere. In Revelation 2 the Lord commended the church at Ephesus for their good works, but rebuked them for leaving their first love. Fervently ask the Lord to give you the grace to walk in those new desires towards Him that you have received as a new creation in Him, ask Him to reveal His beauty and grant you the knowledge of who He is, and how you can give Him glory and show Him your love for Him. The epistle of 1st John has good passages to help us examine ourselves and see the fruit of true believers. There's also a free book from John McArthur Called , "Remember and Return : Rekindling Your Love for the Saviour", it has helped me in growing into those new affections for the Lord. I pray this helps you and I will keep you in prayer. Shalom! //
      "Therefore they said to Him, "What shall we do, so that we may work the works of God?" Jesus answered and said to them, "This is the work of God, that you believe in Him whom He has sent."
      John 6:28‭-‬29 NASB /"So Jesus was saying to those Jews who had believed Him, "If you continue in My word, then you are truly disciples of Mine; and you will know the truth, and the truth will make you free."
      John 8:31‭-‬32 NASB / "Test yourselves to see if you are in the faith; examine yourselves! Or do you not recognize this about yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you-unless indeed you fail the test?"
      2 Corinthians 13:5 NASB /"For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand so that we would walk in them."
      Ephesians 2:8‭-‬10 NASB/ and hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out within our hearts through the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
      Romans 5:5 NASB/ "If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father's commandments and abide in His love."
      John 15:10 NASB /"The one who says, "I have come to know Him," and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him; but whoever keeps His word, in him the love of God has truly been perfected. By this we know that we are in Him: the one who says he abides in Him ought himself to walk in the same manner as He walked. Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. As for you, the anointing which you received from Him abides in you, and you have no need for anyone to teach you; but as His anointing teaches you about all things, and is true and is not a lie, and just as it has taught you, you abide in Him. If you know that He is righteous, you know that everyone also who practices righteousness is born of Him."
      1 John 2:4‭-‬6‭, ‬15‭, ‬27‭-‬27‭, ‬29 NASB

      Let me reassure right now, that you are CARING if you would bother to be concerned or ask questions at all. So don’t be anxious, JESUS CHRIST is here to advocate ON YOUR BEHALF! He’s not attempting to disqualify you on a technicality because
      A) He wouldn’t have to disqualify us, we come to Him hopelessly disqualified already
      B) John 6:35-40
      35Jesus said to them, “I am the bread of life; he who comes to Me will not hunger, and he who believes in Me will never thirst. 36“But I said to you that you have seen Me, and yet do not believe. 37“All that the Father gives Me will come to Me, and the one who comes to Me I will certainly not cast out. 38“For I have come down from heaven, not to do My own will, but the will of Him who sent Me. 39“This is the will of Him who sent Me, that of all that He has given Me I lose nothing, but raise it up on the last day. 40“For this is the will of My Father, that everyone who beholds the Son and believes in Him will have eternal life, and I Myself will raise him up on the last day.”
      Perfect love casts out all fear, and this is According to His Word, not according to how we feel at the time. The gospel is Good News!!! So let us repent and put our trust daily in the Finished Work of Jesus Christ!
      Get into a bible believing fellowship and put on the Armor of God, which will protect from the accusations of the Enemy. God bless you!! I’m praying for you!

    The information on manuscript evidence is perhaps decades out of date. We are finding more and more manuscripts, including ancient ones for both non Christian as well as Christian texts. I think the Illiad is over 1300 now, and many are the ancient fragments. Of course no complete text for any ancient document predates about 700 AD. But among the thousands of fragments found, if changes had been made we continually keep missing the parts that had the changes.

      Christianity is based on an unknown manuscript by unknown authors compiled into a book with numerous errors and conflicts. "Ministers and Pastors" have become such good charlatans, they make you listen to them and they ask you to read one or two verses in the bible. 99% of Christians never even read the entire bible. Sad. Visit a Mosque and get a major upgrade. The Quran talks at length about Jesus CORRECTLY. In Fact Jesus is mentioned 25 times in the Quran vs Mohammed mentioned 5 times. "The text is changing. Every time that I make an edition of the Greek New Testament, or anybody does, we change the wording. We are maybe trying to get back to the oldest possible form but, paradoxically, we are creating a new one. Every translation is different, every reading is different, and although there’s been a tradition in parts of Protestant Christianity to say there is a definitive single form of the text, the fact is you can never find it. There is never ever a final form of the text."
    - Bible scholar David C. Parker

    • @scottbignell
      @scottbignell 3 года назад

      So if Luke's infancy narrative is a later addition to a gospel text that originally started at chapter 3, that wouldn't "change the story"? What if 2 Corinthians is actually an edited patchwork spliced together from no-longer-surviving epistles, those originals wouldn't "change the story?". How could we know? What if John 21 is an addition to an earlier version of the fourth gospel that originally ended at 20:31? Does nothing in chapter 21 really matter to "the story"?
      These are just three examples off the top of my head where there is significant debate amongst scholars. Simply put, there ARE serious issues concerning the original text that goes beyond mere spelling, grammar, and slight change of words. These include disputes over spelling, words, phrases, entire sentences, entire paragraphs, entire chapters, and even entire books and canons.

    • @scottbignell
      @scottbignell 3 года назад

      @Cee Why said: "we still have the original manuscripts my friend"
      No we don't. We don't have any 'original manuscript' of any of the New Testament books. What we have instead are later, varying manuscripts and Church Father comments about the state of the text in their respective periods. This is not about the canon, but the text of the books currently included as 'the canon'. There are places where we don't know what was and wasn't "original" (such as the examples I gave above about Luke's infancy narrative (chapters 1-2), John 21, and the entirely of 2 Corinthians (which appears to many scholars as a splicing together of now-lost earlier epistles). What counts as "the original" in such scenarios? And these are just three examples off the top of my head. They could easily be multiplied with similar problems that scholars acknowledge. I'm sorry, but it's simply not true that it's only spelling and grammar issues.

    Guys copy errors should not bother you. Of course, the bible was written by people and people make mistake. And, the kind of errors we talking about are variation issues, which is like punctuation. How can you not expect variation errors, when you have to copy a manuscript over thousands times. Unless they are not coped by humans.

    • @SillverBel
      @SillverBel 5 лет назад +1

      The issues are not only punctuation variations though. The Easter story, for example, is told differently in Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, and Acts. All of the stories about how Jesus resurrected are different in many ways. Also, Mark chapters 9-20 were added years after the original Mark chapters 1-8. And many scholars argue that ch. 9-20 aren’t even canonical; they were just added to help make the story make more sense when compared to the other gospels.
      Here is something to consider: ffrf.org/legacy/books/lfif/stone.php
      And I’m not saying this should or shouldn’t change your faith, I’m just saying that if you are going to believe then you need to know this stuff.

      I know Bart for years. Majorities are punctuations. And, who cares if 5 or 6 versus were added or taken away in the past, we can still address them using the rest of the text. The way we noticed some of the texts were added or avoided later, was by using comparing with the rest. So whatever he says does not affect my faith in Jesus. Who cares one scholar has issues believing in the bible or not.

    • @SillverBel
      @SillverBel 5 лет назад

      Right, but I think you should still consider what he is saying. Atheist or not, all he did was simply quote the Bible itself. If anyone were to try to write a linear Easter story without omitting any details from any of the gospels, would they succeed? It's a simple question. If not, then you have to ask yourself 'is what I'm reading reliable? And if so, based on what merit? If there are contradictions in these stories (Like Jesus appearing to the disciples in completely different cities in the books), then how do I reconcile this? which story is true?'
      I'm not saying I have the answers to these questions; I'm simply saying that in order to be a knowledgeable Christian, you should probably know these things in the case that an unbeliever asks you about it. Because if they ask you and you don't know how to answer, what are the chances that you will raise their confidence in God?

    • @addis6244
      @addis6244 5 лет назад +1

      SillverBel
      Of course, it is realiable. I understand no one knows or see what the original bible looks like. But, even Bart agrees that today's bible is nearly 98% similar to the manuscripts we have today. And, it is not true that, jesus appeared in different cities in different books. But, he was explained differently by almost every disciples. Does that mean, the books/stories are not realiable, No. If u and I asked to describe Barack Obama' personalities, I am sure we would not come up with same exact words and sequences but same messages. Why are you applying today's educational standards/ text critical methods to justify books written by just spiritual people who forced on conveying a message or pass down what they see.

      There are no contradictions in the Word of God if you rightly divide the Truth. Gospel of Kingdom of Heaven to the Jews and Gospel of Dispensation of Grace to Gentiles and Jews alike until the time of the gentiles are fulfilled.

      Though there is at the moment a paradigm shift happening in science as the material reductionist model of conscious is lying in it's deathbed you sure are aware that any experience of consciousness can only subjectively be experienced and not fully objectively be proven yet..
      Yet I can deduct indirectly that in the fierce competition between religions Islam had zero interest to validate the existence of Jesus Christ, quite to the contrary they would have avoided anything that would back up and give validity to any rival religion - if that would have been possible....
      I know beyond any doubt that God as a living Light of supreme Consciousness exists simply because I have experienced it while I had been put into artificial coma and should have been totally unconscious.....a couple of things that I witnessed during the Nde were actually only known to my mother - and she had NEVER talked with anyone about what I saw there and confronted her later on.....it was a real shock for her that I experienced something during the Nde that she desperately tried to hide her entire life....
      Many others have experienced similar things, currently the skeptics are unable to come up with any alternative theory, all such "theories" are easily debunked like last Neurons firing etc..
      But since I was an Atheist myself I know that most atheists have no interest to sincerely explore the huge body of evidence in for example Nde but only want to defend their atheistic belief system......
      And Christianity has deeply distorted the teachings of Christ, I didn't obviously go to hell as an Atheist, lol.
      With the progress of reanimation medicine we will get hundred thousands of solid testimonies of Ndes over the next decades, it's up to every person to examine closely and honestly the body of evidence - or NOT.
      When the time of physical death comes everybody will anyway experience for themselves what happens when ones consciousness snaps its ties with the body......I have no need to convince anybody, especially not when they imagine to already now.
      What I do recommend though is to really examine this question of God / survival of Consciousness after physical death very carefully since no other subject has such far reaching personal consequences and a wrong outlook/ perspective on life can be very costly for the individual.......that's all.

In addition, Victorian English is outdated and many new individuals reading KJV do not really understand. This is a problematic to me. For many people who did not read the bible as it is attended by its author is missing the point (i.e Jehovah's witnesses). So I know there is people who can't read Shakespeare, and are KJV only. They don’t agree how long it took to die, what he said before his death? They can agree on that either. Was the stone in front of the tomb or not? Who was there? Who were the witnesses? The gospels can’t agree on that either. And the census that supposedly required all citizens to return to there ancestral home from 1,000 years prior? What a ridiculous lie!! Imagine trying to perform a census in such a fashion in any nation ever? Half of all citizens at a minimum, would be required to leave?? Ludicrous!! @@look2christ777 Can you help me reconcile John and Matthew's resurrection accounts? I'm trying to figure out if Jesus appearance to Mary in Matthew 28:9-10 took place before or after his appearance to her in the tomb as we read in John 20:11-17? It seems like Matthew 28:9-10 would have to take place after John 20:11-17 since Mary still thinks Jesus' body had been taken in John 20:11. However, if Matt 28:9-10 takes place after John 20:11-17, why is it that everything about Jesus and Mary's interaction in Matthew 9&10 suggests that it was their first time seeing each other since his crucifixion? Not only does Mathew contain no mention of Mary seeing Jesus prior to verses 9&10, verse 9 says “and behold,” as if Mary hadn’t just seen Jesus just a little while earlier. Then there's the fact that Jesus says “don’t be afraid” as if his presence would come as some surprise to these two women who would have already known that he had been resurrected if John 20:11-17 had taken place prior. And then the way they dramatically worship him at his feet like it was their first time seeing him in a long time. Also, Mary would have just previously been told by Jesus not to cling to him (John 20:17), so why would she take hold of his feet (Matt 28:9) just a little while after that? Also, if Mary departed from Jesus at the tomb in John 2:18, how and why would he appear to her again on her way back from the tomb? Did he dematerialize and rematerialise on front of her, or did he take some shortcut in order to cut her off on the path? What a bizarre thing to do, and what would be the point? He already told her at the tomb to tell the disciples what happened, so why does he need to tell her again? Can you make sense of this?

    • @chad969
      @chad969 4 года назад

      @Crim Sin That may be a typo, but that verse you quoted is from Matt 28:9, not Matt 29. How would the author have expected his readers to know that "they" and "them" was referring to the disciples and not the women, when the women are the only ones mentioned going go to the tomb and speaking with the angel? The first verse of the chapter tells us exactly who that plural pronoun ("they") in verse 9 refers to. It says "After the Sabbath, at dawn on the first day of the week, *Mary* *Magdalene* *and* *the* *other* *Mary* went to look at the tomb." If the author wanted us to think that the disciples were part of that group, wouldn't he have said so? Pronouns are to be understood by their prior context, and there's no contextual indication that any of the plural pronouns that appear between verses 1 and 10 refer to anyone other than Magdalene and Mary the mother of James.

      Crim Sin Just looked into that Jehoiachin contradiction. It looks like the common apologetic response is to claim that it's most likely a scribal error, since in Hebrew the numbers 8 and 18 are distinguished by a small mark. So basically they're just providing an account for why the contradiction exists, instead of trying to argue that it's not a contradiction. Isaiah 40:8 says "The grass withers and the flowers fall, but the word of our God endures forever." Well if the apologists are correct, then apparently the word of the lord in 2 Chronicles 36:9 didn't endure forever.

    • @chad969
      @chad969 4 года назад

      Crim Sin Here are another couple of examples you could check out if you haven't already done so: (1.) When commissioning his disciples to go out and evangelize, did Jesus tell them to bring nothing EXCEPT a staff, as in Mark 6:8, or to bring NO staff, as in Luke 9:3?
      (2.) Luke 16:18 says *_"anyone_* ( the greek word for 'anyone' is 'hos', which is an all-encompassing term) who divorces his wife and marries another woman commits adultery. If it is the case that ANYONE who puts away(i.e. divorces) his wife and marries another commits adultery, then it logically follows that there can be no one who puts away his wife and remarries without it qualifying as adultery. However, Matthew 19:9 says "anyone who puts away his wife, *except* *for* *sexual* *immorality,* and marries another commits adultery. So if Matthew 19:9 is true, then Luke 16:8 has to be false.

    Absolutely, scriptures and so called ‘holy books’ are written by the most common of men, so what would you expect. The fact that they are old doesn’t make the content more valuable apart from the historical settings and for pastors, preachers, popes and god-men off course who make a pretty good living from this ancient material. My personal advice: go for philosophy. It’s not as easy to digest and requires some effort but if you think there is a god you must appreciate the thought that he is more impressed by those who use their god given brain to question his existence, think and experience for themselves compared to those that prefer to be lazy by simply believing somebody else’s beliefs.

    Begs the question by confusing originality with truth. Ok, this is what the originals really say. Nice, but you still have the issue of interpretation and that's the rub. If I find 5000 original copies of the New York Times written in 2016, 2000 years from now, and I'm positive that that's what was truly written, what does that say about the news? It only tells me what the authors thought about the news. Then again, I can't imagine anyone holding on to the NYT for more than one day let alone 2000 years. Give Piper another two minutes and he'll be arguing that his interpretation of the New Testament is the only one that gets you into heaven. In other words - he is the inerrant gatekeeper.

      The new testament as a whole affirms that since Christ has given himself as the final sacrifice for sin, the ritual requirements of the old testament are fulfilled in him and are no longer required of Gods people. Circumcision, like many rituals, was a "shadow of the things to come" as the new testament puts it. As God commanded Israel to be circumcised as a removal of flesh to join his covenant family, Jesus circumcised the heart by removing flesh (sin) from our heart and giving as a new heart...
      All of this is talked about pretty thoroughly in the NT and it's hard to boil it all down in a YT comment. Basically, since Gods covenant relationship with his people is new in Jesus, the old ritual law is set aside in him, being fulfilled. Galatians as a whole goes into this more.

    • @jonathanpearson4522

      Aman Addis be a use he was told that he could be true by knowing the genuine article, then when he looked into it he realised the bible was not a genuine copy of the original. If you’ve got a fake dollar bill you have a fake dollar bill. Bart erhman should be commended for that should he not? Not a dollar bill. He truly believed it was a genuine dollar bill until he checked it out and found it didn’t resemble the original at all. If you replace the head of the axe and the handle you have an axe but not the original. He is blatantly lying about it not affecting doctrine of the Christian faith because Luther wanted James removed (not by faith alone) he added faith alone where he could. The verse in John 5:7 about god being 3 persons was added to justify the trinity, etc etc. it goes on on. He means the verses added or removed don’t affect his own person subjective view, if we look at the original they have been removed or added in accordance with that view. ESV proof of this, it’s remarkably different to the KJV not becuause language has changed but the prevailing doctrine has changes. And that should make every Christian terrified to use the bible to justify their stance because it’s not what god said but what the church saw fit to add and take away as it’s pleased. Sadly by just asking what the bible says about faith alone or the trintiy we can see it affects church doctrine very very much. Wish it wasn’t so but it’s the truth. He want to maintain the line that the bible dictates doctrine. But it’s the other was around. ESV no greater example. Most people arguing for the trinity, faith alone are utterly convinced there’s is genuine ... be real about it. Get any Protestant to admit THEIR version is the fake. They Can NOT all be true, good luck. John piper even says this is a copy of a dollar bill which makes it better than a real dollar bill? True using Monopoly money at the supermarket next time you go. Tell them it’s a copy but that makes it better. How far will you get? Ridiculous! Go right ahead try it in the real world away church . Only in church does someone stand up say I know this ain’t a genuine copy but that makes it so much better, dear god. I defy you to take a known corruption to your GOD and say to him “this is better than yours”. Discaraceful. Shameful. Disgusting and I’m calling him out on it, are you? The case of the story of the woman caught in adultery.... did Jesus say “let he is without sin cast the first stone” . ? We want him to but he maybe never did which means we idolise this story

    "The Scriptures have more historical support than any other ancient document we have today. And that, by a lot."
    But none of this historical support is for the global flood, Noah, Lot, Job, Moses, the Exodus, Jesus, the resurrection, or any of the miracles described in the Bible.
    Also no historical evidence for a census at the alleged time of Jesus' birth and no record of any Roman census that required the people to return to the land of their ancestors to be counted.
    It does get some geography right.. as well as getting some of it wrong. And it does mention some people for whom historical evidence exists... just as Marvel and DC comics also mention some people who actually exist and like the Robin Hood stories mention some people who actually existed.

We know for a fact that the story or concepts of a "virgin birth, death, and resurrection" can be found ascribed on the walls inside the pyramids of Egypt.. This storyline and its concepts preceed the birth of Christ by thousands of years. How can we not take this into account when evaluating for authenticity??🤔🧐🫶🏽

      Keep in mind, this isn't an attempt at a scholarly approach to history. It's a popular one. It's a sermon - notice how as he speaks, he mentions the "sem folks", or seminary students/faculty. This is not intended to be a careful or exhaustive list of all of the historical evidence surrounding the Bible, it's intended to be a popular communication of confidence that the Bible has been faithfully preserved over time. If you want a MORE scholarly work, read evidence that demands a verdict by Josh and Sean McDowell. I think the historical portion of the book is super cool. If you want more scholarly work, read seminary papers.

    The followers of textual criticism are all wrong on the subject. It doesn't matter if they are liberal or orthodox.
    They ignore the fact that the true Bible, that sparked the reformation was translated from the Textus Receptus, which is truly the infalible, inerrant Word of God, preserved by Him through the ages.
    Only in the 1800's, at the time of enlightening, and evolution, and marxism, and all that, that the two racist anglican priests Westcott and Hort forged their "new" new testament from the Critical Text (Sinaiticus + Vaticanus). The Critical Text differs from the True Scripture in the Textus Receptus in over 8,000 differences, which in large DO AFFECT doctrine in a big way.
    Believing that the Critical Text (which is Nestle-Aland which is Sinaiticus + Vaticanus) is the word of God is to beilieve that God decided to preserve His Word in the library of the Vatican and in a dumpster of a catholic institution. It is to believe that the "right" manuscripts came from Egypt, the land from which God has been telling His people to get away from since the Old Testament.
    And the fact that the Critical Text manuscripts are older, actually are a testimony of how BAD they are. A document being preseved like that means, actually, that THE CHURCH NEVER USED IT, because it knew it was garbage.
    Sadly, the only translation of the Textus Receptus in English is the King James, which is very hard to read for most people.
    Instead of wasting time trying to defend the Critical text, this scholars should work on formal, literal and current translation of the King James, to get the Bible back into the people's hands.

    Anyone who bothers to read the bible, in whatever translation, cannot deny that there are literally thousands of direct, factual contradictions throughout the book. The absurdity of claiming that there are no errors nor contradictions defies the simplest examination.
    One example alone: from the most important story in all of the bible, the execution of jesus, the gospels explicitly claim that he was executed on two different days in two different gospels. How can that be not a contradiction, not an error? Even if one is correct, the other is, patently, wrong.
    With little effort, any actual "scholar," who is not intent on proving some preconceived and false claim, could produce a hundred similar contradictions, from the gospels alone, in a week.
