I've 1000% percent been paying my rent the last six months with the Starlight. I could bring my "real" rig...but why? 😂
Where do you play, what style?
I have been studying some of the audio devices / videos for some time now and found this - just makes me want to go out and buy this DJ Controller - I have a friend who is a DJ down at one of the big clubs in P.C. Florida and always wanted to dabble with this type of machine...appreciate this video so much - short, but sweet. Some other videos are so boring and this just gets down to it and makes you want to start ASAP...will check out your other videos.

It still does not work with Android and honestly, that's the only thing putting me off from buying this controller. I hope algoriddim would step up their game and get this done. Not everyone use Apple products. It makes no sense lugging around a large laptop to run this small controller. One would rather get a bigger, better controller if we have to play off our laptops with this thing. The whole idea behind this unit is portability and it would be great if we could just take this unit along to parties and mix off our Android smartphones too.

It is an ultra portable bluetooth controller that works natively with djay for Android. Additionally we will add your controller suggestion of the Starlight to our internal request list for consideration in future developments.

Hi Chris, The Starlight is a natively supported controller in djay for iOS and by using the gear shown in this video you should have no problem mixing a set to completion.

You can use an OTG-compatible Micro-USB or USB-C adapter to connect a compatible controller to your Android device :)

Hi there, thanks for getting in touch. The Hercules DJControl Starlight doesn't work with Android, it's the Hercules DJControl Mix that does. The two controllers may look similar, but their connectivity is different (USB 2.0 and USB-C respectively).

I have one and yeah the crossfader and jog wheels on a 90 dollar controllers smokes the rev 1 . At like 1/10 thr size.

How are you powering the controller? I see two ports on the lightning adapter to the iPhone.
Hi there, The adapter shown in this video is the Lightning to USB 3 Camera Adapter made by Apple. It has one USB-A port and one lightning port. The Starlight controller is plugged into the USB-A port on the adapter and a lightning cable is plugged into the adapter as well to provide power to both the controller and the iOS device.

hi what is the latency like with the bluetooth to a speaker it needs to be perfect for scratch dj's like me like ultra low 2ms idealy, cheers

you would need an apple camera adaptor. you can get one for around £40 on amazon .
this will allow you to power the phone whilst having the controller plugged in.
@@Will-zb9dw I have been trying with the official apple camera connection kit USB3 and if you don't add power via the lightning port it will not work. (tested both on iPad and iPhone 11)
So if someone has the standard lighting USB cable (the one that can't charge your iOS device) I would like to know if it work ?
Having a small DJ controller and beeing forced to use external power source seems an anti-pattern of mobility for me.
