    • @definitionofinsanity161
      @definitionofinsanity161 4 года назад +1

      That kind of thing happens all the time with tow companies. That’s why they have you sign releasing them of liability before you even see your vehicle and definitely before you get in and drive it. Owning a few vehicles they can easily be damaged from a bad tow that’s what I fear most. Not the tow charge but the damage to the vehicle. You would think tow truck operators know about cars but they are actually are clueless idiots when it comes to a cars mechanics.

      Saab Rider I’m sure this guy with the Infiniti had one of those don’t know and don’t care tow truck drivers that saw the vehicle and cluelessly assumed FWD. Then destroyed the AWD system by dragging the rear wheels with just a front wheel hookup. Then had him sign for the vehicle (on a form that releases them of all liability) before driving the vehicle away. Problem is there is no way around signing this form. They have your vehicle held hostage and the only way to get it back quickly is to pay and sign. It’s really messed up.

    • @definitionofinsanity161
      @definitionofinsanity161 4 года назад

      Saab Rider Also their CASH ONLY system is just another way to take power away from the victims being illegally towed, cheat the IRS on their business taxes and give kickbacks (IN CASH) to the business owners and police. The IRS should be auditing all the tow companies, businesses and individuals involved. They would have to pay the IRS or the businesses would be shut down and individuals involved would go to jail. Good they need to be shut down and belong in jail.

    Some tow companies can unequivocally just be chalked up to reprehensible pieces of shit

  • @NoJusticeNoPeace
    @NoJusticeNoPeace 5 лет назад +2

    You know they've just quietly set up under a new name, moving location to shake loose the heat. When this much money is involved, no one is going to just stop until prison sentences start appearing, and that's not very likely to happen.

    • @WhatAboutTheBee
      @WhatAboutTheBee 5 лет назад +1

      Correct.
      The action by the lawyers depicted in the video is a CIVIL lawsuit, not a criminal charge. There is a huge difference between the two.
      Anyone can bring a civil suit, for any reason, at any time, before the courts. It doesn't have to have any basis in fact or reason. Civil suits, to be frank, are a dime a dozen.
      Secondly, civil suits are about financial redress. They are never about incarceration. Handcuffs are never on the table in a civil matter.
      Stating that "John Doe" police officers are corrupt, without other evidentiary details is really just slander. If there is proof, then the evidence should be submitted to the District Attorney for CRIMINAL prosecution. That would be a far more serious matter. Bribery of a LE official is a criminal act by both the briber and the bribee.
      This tow company is scurrilous, but you have it right. They will go out of business as Magic/Breakthrough Towing. They become suit proof as the assets will be drained away, long before this CIVIL suit ever gets to trial. re-establish themselves as a new tow company, in a new location, doing the same sleazy stuff.

      I personally had that happen to me,I parked in my employers parking lot (transit bus driver) put my permit in the windshield which was clearly visible and locked the car up and proceed to work,came back at 7pm to discover that my car was towed away and along with 6 other cars and one of my coworkers got the supervisor who had control center call the towing company, but it's 7:15pm on Friday and the lot office is closed until Monday, someone in control called the head of the transit authority and he got involved, called someone in the tow company and told them to release the car's without charge (local and state police got involved) at 12:30am we were told to see the supervisor who took us to get our cars, and Monday morning the towing company had they're equipment siezed and license plates,5 large towtrucks took all of the trucks away and everything was padlocked and gates chained and locked, plus notice of seizure was posted in 4 places,we found out that someone from headquarters called so that him and his buddies could park there so that they didn't have to walk 1 block to the train and had us towed from the bus district employee lot,the towing company is no longer in business and the people from HQ got fired

    Rob thank you so much for bringing a close a dirty tow truck company. You should look into some of the Kalamazoo Michigan tow truck companies. The ones that patrol apartments around the colleges and universities there.

    McDonald's should also be found liable, for allowing these predatory tow companies to operate on franchise property. The franchise owner too, but if I'm not mistaken, I think Mickey D's owns the land all their franchises sit on, so they should get the heavier punishment.
