    Thanks for this video. It helped me decide, as I watched allot of videos on different brands. I just received my DREO a few days ago - It's terrific. The fan is very powerful, even on 2nd speed - but it's quiet! Even on the highest speed, I can sleep with it on. It's more of a white noise. Low noise was the biggest feature I was looking for, and this delivers. I use distilled water in mine, as I have well water at my faucet. However, I only have to fill to less than half the tank and I still have some water left by morning. So maybe two gallons per week if i'm using it at night, at $1 per jug. If your on city water, your fine. I looked at Arctic Tower, Honeywell & Breeze before buying. To me, the DREO is a step up in quality. Also, the display is very clear and informative. It dims automatically at night, so it will not keep you awake.

      Hi Scott, what about the temperature in the room? Does it feel pretty good? I heard that the humidity is going up. How much?

    • @ValleyRealEstate
      @ValleyRealEstate 2 года назад +2

      @@dawid_pilarski I use mine in a medium sized bedroom. I have the window open about 1". I have not had any issues with mustiness. I wouldn't use it to cool an entire room, but it will drop it about 3 degrees. The best way is to be in the path of the cool air, and that feels really cool. So I feel like it's blowing 68F at me when it's 99F outside. It's not a/c, so you can't expect it to cool an entire room (but anything in the path of the blown air is really cold 🥶.
      I live in a dry climate, so it's a bonus to have moisture put back in the air too.
      TIP: to make the air even colder, buy a 1/2 gallon or larger pitcher and chill the water in a fridge. Add your ice packs (included). I even added another ice pack (3rd) from the grocery store (costs $2.00). You don't have to do this, but i've dropped the temp even more for super hot days.

    • @ScottFrederickson-Agent
      @ScottFrederickson-Agent Год назад +2

      @@jobcuellar1298 No mold issues. This is my second season with the DREO, and I still love using it. In fact, it's actually helped my sinuses by adding some moisture to the room. I live in a dry climate...
      Also, to clean the unit once in awhile just add some distilled vinegar to the water tank and run it. It will clean the entire system including the evaporation material. The manual recommends this as well.

      Unfortunately my email notification did not reach me on this question. I have owned it for two seasons and I still love this tower. No issues. Performance wise it is terrific. Keep in mind the best way to get the most cold air from this unit is to chill the water in the fridge and use the ice packs included with this unit. Here is what I do: buy a few 1-gallon water jugs at supermarket, put one or two in the fridge to chill. You'll always have some cold water to use when you need it. I also purchased two more ice packs at local store $2.00 a piece. I always have ice packs in freezer ready to go when I need them. Tip: buy bagged ice ready to go for those super hot days or nights - it can instantly chill the water in the tank very fast if you are using tap water from faucet.

    Good video with explanation and narration of the pan I just have a question do you think this can lead to mold buildup in a room that’s the only thing that’s stopping me from buying it and I’m not finding any other answers anywhere? Or is it possible to just use the ice packs and not the water

    • @ScottFrederickson-Agent
      @ScottFrederickson-Agent Год назад

      No mold issues. Because the water is in small droplets and mixed with air it's not damp enough to cause mold in the room. Bear in mind your using this machine in the drier seasons of the year. You can actually put your hand in front of the fan and not get water condensation on your hand. It's really cool air, but not wet enough to get on walls or furniture. Unit does use water & ice packs at the same time.

    But how do you actually remove the water pump? You said it “pops right out,” but I can’t get it to do that. P.S. In in Australia and it has a different brand name her, but looks identical to the one in toy video. Can you do a video on actually re no icing and reinserting the water pump? Thanks in advance

    About how long does the fan last with ice and water, once full?

    • @ValleyRealEstate
      @ValleyRealEstate 2 года назад

      See my feedback on this video. Good news is that I fill mine less than half full, and still have a little water leftover by morning (I use mine all night). I plan on emptying the bin, and letting it dry once every seven days to keep it clean.

      I have not had that issue. I'm on the second season with allot of use, and DREO gave me a free 5-year warranty with my original purchase. I do use the ice packs and it helps to water in the refrigerator on really hot days. For those that use tap water from the faucet, I highly recommend chilling that water first. Find some empty gallon jugs, fill em up and put in fridge. You'll always have chilled water when you need it OR buy bagged ice to put into tap water for an instant chill. The water compartment on the unit will keep the water chilled for many hours.

      @@michelineregimbal8096 This might not be a good option for you, as evaporative cooling works best in dry climates (like CA, AZ, etc). If you need something for a bedroom at night (and don't want allot of noise) I suggest Vornado brand tower fans). Or possibly a portable a/c unit that has a dehumidifier option. Be careful on those though, as it's hard to find ones that are quiet.
