After watching EvilDeadRise, I can never look at her the same way ever again xD
I don't know why people have negative opinion of aslaug but she loved ragnar gave him 4 sons and stood by him during the tough time
And almost let his sons die over a dude and actually did let his granddaughter die from neglect.
Everyone says Ragnar screwed up here.
Initially when first seeing this scene I felt the same way. Now in retrospect however, I don't anymore.
I do think Ragnar loved Lagertha and Bjorn. He did truly. However, even though he loved them, I think he knew that Bjorn is not his real biological son (Bjorn is Rollo's son), and he wanted to have sons of his own.
He also tried to keep both their marriages, but Lagertha didn't want that, she felt cheated and betrayed. Funny that, and hypocritical, since she is the one who first betrayed him.
I can't think of anything else but that her breath must be kicking 😂
Alsug is my least favorite character she was a horrible addition and the only contribution she brings to the show is giving birth to the sons of ragnar
I wish Ragnar had never left the farm 😞
That’s a pretty big damn contribution though lol

He didn’t. He wouldn’t have had anything more to do with her if she hadn’t gotten pregnant. When Bjorn confronted him, Ragnor told him he loved his mother. Bjorn made him promise not to sleep with her again and he rejected her after that.
And he ruined his relationship ship with lagertha for this 💀💀 he even tells her at some point they don’t love each other
But in the show it’s revealed lagertha had an affair with Rollo.
@@alexandercrush it is hinted about only. And it was just before Ragnar as there were questions regarding Bjorn's sire. But nothing was ever admitted by any of the parties.
@@flash2tzthe point being tho that even if Ragnar stayed with Lagertha it wouldn’t have been with a real one. And by the time the show was ending it was pretty much confirmed, Rollo basically called Bjorn his son.

The only good thing from Aslaug is she gave a birth to the most famous viking ever, Ivar The Boneless
And also arguably Biorn ironside as well as history proves that
In the beggining I didn’t like Aslaug , but I realized that she is as much important in Ragnar’s fate then Lagertha, and she is not just a woman. She has powers, not like Lagertha as a fighter. And she is a good mother to her sons, a good wife to Ragnar.

Meh, Ragnar wanted sons which Aslaug gave him. Ragnar and Lagertha's was essentially just like any other marriage that goes downhill for one reason or another.
Lagertha ends up shooting an unarmed woman in the back when she had already submitted, so who's the evil one?
if a person who comes and takes everything you care about from you submits later and you accept does that give you your power back? not in shield maiden terms it seems. had she accepted she would have seemed weak. Aslaug deserved it.
@@micheleford4282 ragnar chose another. He offered a polygamous relationship, which wasn't her thing (I don't blame her) but she chose to leave. Perhaps she shouldve killed Aslaug at the time? Makes no sense to kill her 20 yrs later when seemingly she'd moved on
@@baddogentertainment6960 had he offered that relationship with another shield maiden if might have been ok but instead he offers it with a woman who is too lazy to follow their customs. had she shown some initiative it might not have been an issue. ragnar got what he deserved in the end and aslaug did too. and eventually lagertha paid for getting her power back one of aslaug's sons killed her. anyone who watched that show clearly saw neither ragnar or lagertha ever moved on from each other.
I did think that was pretty cowardly of her character to do that, but also its what a lot of viewers wanted to see lol
Is every Viking fan this retarded? The woman’s genes doesn’t determine sex, it’s the man‘s. Y’all just wanna glorify cheaters
I loved that he still loves his first wife in the end.
In the legends Aslaug was the best of his wives, and she revenged Ragnar's death. She gave birth to 4 sons, Ivar, Bjorn, Hvitserk & Sigurd. She was a wise woman. Unlike Lagertha who sought only for power , and eventually killed her second husband. Ragnar never trusted Lagertha. So I kinda hate how they portrayed Aslaug in the series....
