TLDR: She was kind of a big deal. And as far as the TV series goes she looked gorgeous here, and never nearly as pretty after. Hence the idea that she put a charm/enchantment/spell on Ragnar.

I remember being so angry watching this and shouting at Ragnor! This ruined his happiness! He was never the same after meeting her. Why did Aslaug hit so different? She was neither a villain nor an antihero. She did nothing wrong to Ragnar, she just happened to replace a character the audience had grown to love more as Ragnar's wife.

You’d be surprised. Look up Viking skulls. They had pretty good teeth. They did file them however I think. But over the centuries our jaws have gotten smaller and narrower for beauty purposes. And along came the need for braces. Also welcome constant cavities due to unnatural sugar addictions.
