    • @socratead
      @socratead 3 года назад +2

      What? The event was organized by Russians in Russia. Why would they speak English in the first place? They already went too far. In my opinion the players should have spoken in their native languages and should have been translated in Russian only. Learn languages my friend, do not assume that everyone is mandated to learn yours.

    • @kzmOP
      @kzmOP 3 года назад +1

      @@socratead mate, why you assumed audience are only from Russia. Plus my native language isn't english. Am more than happy if they translate it to everyone's native language, But interruption on podium that too for all AUDIENCE(Talking about world apart from people in hall) ! show utter arrogance. Learning language goes both ways! Don't be a frog at well. Learn language and more importantly inclusion!

    • @socratead
      @socratead 3 года назад

      @@kzmOP why would speaking only in English mean inclusion? Inclusion is to let every single player to speak his own native language and translate in the language of the host country! By what standards does English language represent inclusion? You are really contradicting yourself to claim that forced uniformity by using only one language means inclusion. What if a Chinese wants to naturally speak in Chinese, a Russian wants to naturally speak in Russian and a Dutch wants to naturally speak in Dutch? That's inclusion to respect everyone who each - and be sure about that - prefers his own native language to English - a foreign language -!

    • @kzmOP
      @kzmOP 3 года назад

      @@socratead Kindly read my comment again n understand better. Wer i told inclusion is only by English? English is majority spoken so choosing it as official language won't be a ubsurd scenario what i have been referring to is keeping translator aside n constant interruption in between dialogue is not pleasant to watch(As non Russian). Keep as many translator you want but use audio format for live listener, rather tyan making whole world wait for translator to translate n interrupt flow.

    This is HILARIOUS Why couldn't he just speak Russian and let that lady translate into English? It's so comical to see someone translate his speech into Russian, SITTING RIGHT BESIDE HIM hahaha

    The "punk" in him is alive and well; and it'll cause him to lose, in the end.

    Say hypothetically speaking. How long have you rejected your controlled environment with your heroinic stranger? Say i dont know him and he cannot effect me. Nor could i except him or his people. So 5 minutes. Is 12 years

      He has some respect to his fans all over the world. The entire situation looks stupid because they wanted him to speak Russian and translate for the non-Russian audience . He's got some descent English and h really wanted to stay out of the patriotic game of moronity.
      Respect, Ian! You're sooo cool.
      У него есть уважение к фанам с остальных частей света. Вся эта ситуация выглядит тупо, потому что они хотели чтоб он говорил по-русски, а потом переводить для нерусскоязычной аудитории. У него ничего такой такой английский, и он реально хотел остаться в стороне от тупых игр в патриотизм.
      Респект Ян, ты оооочень крут

    Chess players are so emotionally flat and Ian follows in this tradition. His answer to why he had a plus score against Magnus is cute but not really interesting.
