Same I’ve been using mine everyday for the past two years painting marine objects and ships and I throw mine in a ultrasonic cleaner at the end of the day for 1 hour on my way out the work shop. Come back next morning and it’s gleaming. Even polished the stainless the other week too. Like a mirror now 😂😂😂😂

One thing I do when spraying on extention ladders is to tie a small rope on my line and a pot hook on the other. Then I can leave my line on the ladder without packing up and down all day!

I've been using the new gun for a year or so, seems OK, I agree with the trigger, no need to have more than two fingers pulling, I never change the setting. Only thing I can say is the kit doesn't last as long I've noticed. The needle wears alot faster

Spraying for 20 years. Contractor PC guns suck. Why would I use 4 finger over 2 finger? Because After 20 years of spraying, I wish I would have started with 4 finger trigger pull.. 20 years of spraying with a hard pull on a 2 finger trigger gun catches up with you. Hands hurt, too much tension.
My advice: Skip the pc and new pc contractor gun, and Get the FTX gun. Easy to control, hands don't hurt as much spraying all day. Hi Idaho painter, I am the Washington painter.. Thanks for your videos. Starting my own series :)

I have had mine for almost two years and I just run it through a heated ultra sonic parts cleaner with aerospace degreaser after every other job and have had no issues thus far. I have noticed if I don’t clean it frequently, when I let off the trigger there is a slight delay before it stops spraying. I too, leave mine with the two finger set up so I never adjust the slide mechanism.

DIY brusher and roller here. So much learning baked into your videos Chris--Thank you for all your posts. I can see value in learning to spray. The mess left behind after any painting project is my #1challenge, i feel spraying can take this problem to another level. Have you done a video on building a spray booth, either one-time use or portable/reuseable?

I really enjoyed your review. I have been using the contractor gun for years and years problem free and really wanted to "upgrade" to the contractor pc gun for basically how cool it looks alone. What stopped me? All the stupid plastic external parts. Why would I want to adjust the trigger from two fingers... Why would I want a plastic safety lock... Why is most of the packing kit plastic... These are serious concerns that worry me long-term when I'm confident my original contractor gun will work fine for 20more years. I might as well just paint the top half of that blue and the trigger black lol

So here's my experience. I tried it and right out of the box it was spitting on me (no extensions attached) and took a few jobs to go away. The next thing I dont like about it is the hand guard pops out all the time. I way prefer the Rx pro to the Graco gun but the Graco gun is still going strong after a year of use so we will see if it hits the same repacking mark as Titan or not.

  • @TobiasRaphael1

Chris, have you ever thought of trying to change the trigger pull on the contractor gun to a softer pull? I assume there is a spring in there that is tensioned to a certain amount... maybe replace it with one with less tension(probably have to contact Graco support to see if that is an option).

Well, I wish I would have seen this video before I bought mine. I was impressed with the lighter trigger... I haven't done any spraying in over 30 years.... I will update this comment once I have more experience with the gun.

Chris great Video. Question, I just bought a Graco end whip and it made the gun spit like I was using and extention. I wasn't though, just the gun. I took it off the whip and no more spit. Is that normal?

    • @ShaneHolly
      @ShaneHolly 3 года назад

@@Idahopainter thanks for getting back. I love your channel and have learned a lot watching.
As to my question, I didn't think it was normal either because it's all before the gun so no air should be present. Unlike the gun extensions. Any idea though why it may have happened?
I was spraying 4.5" base. I didn't realize it at 1st but I had a 311 tip on trying to shoot an unthinned exterior paint. Would having too small of a tip make it spit?
Originally, I thought I had a 413 but it was constantly clogging which made me start looking at the tip. I switched to the only other tip I had, a 515 and that solve the clogging but used way too much paint.
Will a 413 tip shoot unthinned paint with out clogging or do you have to go 415?

    • @somenteasescrituras4064

      Think about it.
Most painters ( not all ) work with white colors, off whites and light colors.
So the pants being white helps by blending with the paint when it touches the pants.
Also back in the day most colors weren't available like today. So white and off white were very standard colors. You see?
