Can someone send a copy of the entire show to trump? Will it work, if he watches it? Will he watch it? Will he understand it? Will he care?

"$550,000 a year."
"This pays $600 a week."
"So it's less."
🤣🤣🤣
About 31200 per year!
Aaron Sorkin (creator and head writer) crafted some of the most exquisite and entertaining dialogue in the history of television for The West Wing. His words are poignant, meaningful, touching and it's always a privilege to watch them performed so well.
couldn't have put it better!! :) so true
So true
@@paperchasindude6578 A good game is seeing how many times he repeats phrases. between this and his other movies and shows he says "Reach for the stars" about a dozen times.
@@Mozart1220 fax I definitely need to see that show
This should be shown in every public school on the first day of classes.
ruclips.net/video/z2HKbygLjJs/видео.html
Imagine doing your tax returns and having the president come in asking for the money you owe.
I feel like that every year since Trump was selected.
@@Mozart1220 WTF are you even talking about dude? are you okay lol?
@@Mozart1220 So.... What are you doing with your money that you're owning taxes,
@@mr5yy Clearly, he's not a billionaire, for whom all the breaks are given. What rock have you had your head under for the last 40 years?
Bartlet's already embraced this black kid like an adoptee, with a little love.
In the first clip Leo has a bigger name in the Democratic Party than Bartlet. CJ hearing Toby droping Leo's name is what makes her interested in the campaign.
14:11 when Toby and Josh start incoherent yelling and Toby beating the stick will never not give me a stomach cramp laughing
"Couple more minutes..."
wonder how much of that was scripted and how much of that was just bradley and richard being dorks
Right!?! LOL
Best part is when you realize the kid that Donna is talking to is Jim Harper from Newsroom. Good practice for him to be keeping his head down for when Will would fly off the handle at things.
Hey was the girl in red alyson hannigan?
"I'm imagining the plurality of millions of people who pulled a lever with your name next to it."
"Suckers!"
The writing for this show was brilliant!
It is currently March 28, 2023. And I still miss this show. Smart & clever has largely been replaced by dumb and obvious.
I just finished binging again. I can't help it. It Is my favorite show of all time.
Totally agree
I had forgotten how good the music was for this show...I never forgot how funny it was.
I wish Jed Bartlett were our real President...
Janel Moloney does not get enough credit (a young bright star in this amongst many other bright stars) she has fab timing and delivery !
She's so good. Nails every line
Also, when she has no lines but reacting to Josh or Toby.
"A trip to Banana Republic would've killed you?"
Jed Bartlett telling Charlie about how he should have spent his rebate, rather than paying his Visa card bill.
Too funny.
The glorious understated acting of Martin Sheen, and his phenomenal skill with the subtle under the radar, under your breath, you can barely here it, throwaway zinger.
Jed was a master of those.
The time zone melt down is still one of my favorites.
Where Josh and Toby beat the bridge! lol My favorite, too.
It is currently August 26, 2020 and I still love this show!
Likewise.
9/13/20. Same.
9/29/2020 and I not only still love this show, I NEED this show. More than ever.
Absolutely! It just makes me sad that the reality of political discourse has devolved so far.
10/21/20
“This is not very patriotic talk Charlie! It’s NOT!” 😂
I still find it really amazing how Jed, Leo and Abbey are able to handle the simple problems of their adoptive West Wing children so smoothly.
Love this show to bits.
*Jeb*
@@krisroth1612 It's literally Jed.
With common sense.
the relationship between Charlie and PB still gets to me
"Milo! Coop! Would you help Mr. Young find his pockets please."
"They're saying I owe the federal government money!"
"And you don't even need a stamp, hand it over." 🤣🤣
Jed calling the Secret Service agents on Charlie never gets old
Bartlett LOVED charlie like a son
"He's never heard about me, has he?" "No" Toby is my spirit animal.
“C.J. You fell into the pool there” god they are so in love
THANK YOU
"Crisis of confidence" is one of my MANY favorite scenes in this amazing series.
The scene either Charlie and tax and that he donated so much to charity makes me cry every time
The greatest series ever written , sublime in every way
False.
1:05 This has to be one of the extremely few times we see Toby genuinely laugh at something.
Welcome my friends to the show that never ends…
Back for my annual West Wing fix.
“He’s never heard of me,has he?”
And I’m back…
It’s 2021, 22 years after this show debuted, and I just bought this series on DVD
You will love it!
Good for you! It's fabulous...!
@ Joshua Lanier and Paul Clark, y’all are both right. I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS SHOW. I STILL wish we had a president like Jed Bartlet. What a good man.
Best funny moments does not START with CJ finding a live TURKEY in her office ????
I think it goes by season
RIGHT?!?
The people who fired CJ must’ve been kissed to find out she became the most powerful woman in America. Bet that’s one they wished they had back.
"And you don't even need a stamp... " lol fantastic
Charlie "I was just thinking about the plurality of Americans who made the decision to pull a lever with your name next to it."
Bartlet: "Suckers"
LMAO
iandhr1 honestly writers are better at running the country and inspiring people than the actual leaders that we have now
"a trip to Banana Republic wouldve killed you?"
C.J. went from " is Jed Bartlett a good man" to " I absolutely adore him".
"I was just thinking about the plurality of Americans who made the decision to pull a lever that had your name next to it."
"Suckers."
As an actor starting out, if Hollywood decides to reboot/sequel West Wing, I’d literally kill for a role. Other shows, I’d audition and live with the outcome.
"CJ, you fell into the pool there." Toby trying out for the role of Captain Obvious. LOL
If only there were more decent, honorable, smart, funny folks like these in real life
I didn't watch this until last year. I'm so amazed how this sits with me and my views. Thanks to all in valued. Such a wonderful piece of History.
I just finish watching this wonderful show for the third time best Christmas gift for myself
This is the first time I realized on the “game on” episode where they trick Toby into thinking Bartlett isn’t ready for the debate, he actually catches CJ’s $10 bet cause he makes a comment about it on her clipboard and she says “yeah I owe it to somebody” - she already knows he fell for it lol
"How long are they gonna be?"
*CLANG*
"Couple more minutes."
CAN WE HAVE A CIVILIZATION?!
Toby, is Jed Bartlett a good man? Remember when being a good man was important?
“On Her Majesty’s Secret Service” - my favourite Bond film, too! Bravo, Charlie! Yes, Mr President, that “wimp-ass Bond movie”! Great scene! Martin Sheen is magnificent as always.
Deliriously wonderful... The opening clip with CJ and Toby a brilliant example of their chemistry - and Allison Janney looking simply great, even when wet! Great dialogue, beautifully played... and still so enjoyable to watch...
A genuine question. Is there a better cast in any show ever? If so I need to watch it. This cast is amazing.
M*A*S*H & Frasier can compare, maybe... also Decker (the Dr who's irascible with a heart of gold), the diner owner who can't cook, the blind black guy, the slimy friend freeloader, the nurse who runs his practice with a FIRM hand...all lovable characters... the witty, blind & black guy always gets the girls... someone says he ought to have a handicap, & he replies, "I m black & blind, is that not enough of a handicap?" That brilliant!
@@uthrasriram9386 I agree. I LOVE the fraiser cast
I agree, but would also have to add DOWNTON ABBEY for your consideration. High quality acting, writing, and storytelling....equal to TWW, in my opinion.
Is there something metaphoric about CJ falling in the swimming pool at the same time Toby offers her the press job?
They say in screenwriting, a character's appearance should change when something significant happens to them. I note that by falling in the pool and getting her hair wet, CJ immediately goes from "big hair" to the more recognisable "small hair"...at the same moment she first becomes associated with the Bartlet admin.
Just a thought. Might be a total coincidence.
BaileysMariner wow that does make so much sense!
You just understood Aaron Sorkin's vision.
Ironic too that her podium in the press briefing room is directly over the former swimming pool.
I recall falling for Alison Hanney when she did this. My wife (an amazing person) used to always wind me up by saying "Is she as good as CJ?" if I saw a lady whilst out, etc. I do have quite a crush on Alison Janney 😍😉
@@malcs0 Indeed..!!
“He’s ready…”
Top five favorite episode of mine.
“So this is less?” HAHAHAHAHAHA
The best show ever made....
Damm right!!
It’s 2021 and this is still the best show ever made
This and L.A. Law
Wonderfully written and beautifully underplayed
rogerstoryteller too bad he left by season 4
It's 18 Dec 2021 and I still love this show... and I'm still in love with CJ... AND Toby!
I love Sam, would LOVE to see him as President. Also Josh & Donna ! C J 🥰
I. Love the show the West. Wing. It is one of my favorite shows.
CJ falling into the pool is brilliant
I think I binge watched this entire series twice during 2020! Thank you to all the cast, writers and crew!
Best series EVER!!!
Another funny scene is when Bartlet interviews Deborah Fiderer played by Lily Tomlin to replace Mrs Landingham. Fiderer acts confused and can't even remember her name. Afterward, Bartlet says to Charlie something like, "Is this a joke? If it's a joke then it's funny and well executed, but I think you and I both know it's not."
I loved this show, I used to skip my bowling league night for this
The West Wing makes me feel good
I love this show for the great examples of how leadership works!
Sadly, we currently have no great examples of leadership in DC!!
I just realized that Tyler kid is John Gallagher Jr. who was in The Newsroom (another Sorkin show)
Who was also in the obc of spring awakening! plenty of broadway talent was in the west wing, I love spotting them all
For the past four years I’ve been watching the west wing and pretending it’s cnn
Aaron Sorkin created two of the most finely crafted shows in television history West Wing and News Room
Beautifully acted pool falling.
Classis: My guys are gonna need to walk this off a little bit.
This was one of the best shows on TV
The start of "Game On" (season 4th) is probably the funniest & smartest part. Never tired to watch it
I like to call that clip "The staff tries to give Toby a stroke."
Long Live The West Wing
Yes..best ever..never equalled.
"... I work at the White House" 😂
“avert your eyes! my clothes are clingy!”
i love them so much
Bartlett sweeping those bills into the desk drawer is the final touch to that scene. Prob his poker money?
Great video! Need to have CJ and Charlies prank scenes and Leos Big Block of Cheese Day.
From series 1 to 7 excellence personified.
This is what a brilliant ensemble cast and writing team can do, take note GOT
Are you pretending that seasons 1-4 weren’t different from 5-7
The creator/lead writer/show runner etc is one of the most respected writers working today. He also wrote movies like A few good men, social network, moneyball, Charlie Wilson’s war, Steve jobs, mollys game, trial of chigago 7 and being the ricardos.
And other TV like “Studio 60 on the sunset strip” “sports night” and “The Newsroom”
The main writer wrote almost every script from season 1-4 and the ones he didn’t write he was still the show runner meaning he approved /rewrote the scripts written by others.
Seasons 5-7 were good TV but nothing like seasons 1-4 which are masterful.
If they weren’t the same show many people would like 5-7 better but it’s impossible not to compare the new with the old and when you do that it makes west wing look very uneven.
11:23 .........
Josh: "Why are we slowing down?"
Cap: "Uh Oh."
Josh: "Are we outta gas?"
Cap: "Diesel."
Josh: "Are we out of it?"
Cathy: "We're outta gas."
Cap: "Diesel."
Toby: "Nobody cares."
Donna: "Cathy says there's a gas station about 1000 yards down the road."
Cap: "They DON'T HAVE diesel."
Toby: "Theydon'thavediesel."
Josh: "Did we run out of gas because I said she was wholesome but not too wholesome."
Cap: "I can't make a car run out of gas."
Toby: "Diesel."

nudist0885 one of my favourite couple of episodes. 20 hours in America part one is full of comedy and part 2 ends on such a poignant note
'I'm really something. "
There will never be a better show
One of the few times I disagreed with Bartlett (The writers room). The reason Bond orders his drink shaken is precisely because it chips the ice. It allows him to socially consume while helping him remain alert by watering down the drink. He's snooty because, well, does it look like he gives a damn?
Also, the hand it over bit never fails to make me chuckle like a kid watching this all over again
S. Connery could do no wrong.
Lots of people love our country and we react with traumatic disbelief when we find ourselves being harmed by our country at the direction of some who're desperate for power. Connery disdained what should be disdained and, like Lennon from Apple, David Crockett, walked away. Sacrifices.
@@raoulbataller5454 I think it was explained in one of the books.
Shaking it creates vapours that give the drink a special flavour. So James Bond prefers taste over getting drunk quick.
10 bucks! And you , you big bear...
Its 4 Jan 2021 and I still love this show!
I love the relationship between Charlie and Jed.
That last part has me understanding how the residents of Michigan City, Indiana feel....and laughing for at least two minutes. 😅😅😅
I want to spend one day with Aaron Sorkin.
One day.
Not me, I want to spend the rest of my life with that man!
I LOVED THIS SHOW! ♥️
James is ordering a weak martini and being snooty about it... :)
We need Ainsley’s moments
Yes. Along with Josh doing the press briefing.
How can you pick "best moments" from a show that was all best moments? Someone (maybe Letterman), called Bartlet , the president we wish we had. If he'd foreseen what we have now!
Christel Headington "Amen to that!!!!"
@The Best Western Oh please... Trump is the best President if you are a billionaire or Vlad Putin...
@The Best Western -You took a wrong turn, you seem to be in Never-Never Land.
Wonderful! Thanks for the up.
Kid on the bike is Jim Harper from The Newsroom btw :)
I wonder if someone somewhere ever asked if Donald Trump was a good man.
James Hanscombe nooooooo
11:23 - 14:45 ............"20 Hours In America". MY favorite episode EVER.
nudist0885 We changed time zones? WE CHANGED TIME ZONES!!!
nudist0885 This is a time for American hero’s. We will do what is hard. We will achieve what is great. This is a time for American hero’s and we reach for the stars.
When did you write that last part? In the car. Freak
Starts humming I don’t like Monday’s...
potterpotty01, can you believe it......???? We changed time zones...........(8^(
February 13 2021 watching it for the third time.
The actor who plays Tyler who comes to help Josh, Toby and Donna make it to their airplane flight looks like the actor that years later would play the character Jim Harper on The Newsroom.
joh0529 that is him ☺️
Oh, that's why he's familiar... also Amy Adams 🥰
"CAN WE HAVE A CIVILIZATION??!!" - "I JUST WANT TO SERVE MY COUNTRY!!" 😂😂😂
I love everything about this show so much 🇺🇸. Just brilliant.
He's not even ordering a proper martini - it's watered down vodka with vermouth
This was one of the funniest
They under used Dúle Hill!
Nothing better about politic than WW will not be directed. Best show ever!
Love the Dukakis-Bush debate reference by Sorkin here.
The fact the president loved doing taxes is funny since it is so rare.
Before watching, I hope to see the Butterball hotline scene and the scene where the president is high on painkillers. :-P
I know I missed them ): going through my head and re-watching the series on Netflix trying to find some funny moments was more of task than I thought... especially if your a fan of this show you get side tracked and it becomes this whole binge-a-thon thing and yeah...I'll definitely be making more parts...
Joe Bethersenten in the house!
David Tingwald - agree. So many were missed.
