- Hope you guys liked our version of DIY Outdoor furniture. Let us know what you think in the comments and if you have ever made your own outdoor furniture, how did it turn out?
I think you guys did an amazing job! 👍🏻
great job....i have a suggestion you can also make the cuts regular straight cuts not 45 degree and after you sand everything down you can use wood filler for the cut joints and no cuts at all will be visible and it would look like one solid piece like in the stores most of the times you do not see any cut angles in higher end things then paint or stain all the wood and boom no cut marks all one solid piece of furniture....great job i love wood working as well.
I love how these turned out!! I am wanting to go a sectional for a large front patio we have!! (I have 6 kids so a sectional is super appropriate!!) love this big sturdy furniture !!
Kathryn in Christ thank you! You should look out for our upcoming tutorial on an outdoor sectional! Hopefully it’s what you are looking for!
Awesome! I’ll look forward to it!
Solid yall great job with this!
Thank you!
Turned out great! Do you know the brand of the cushions you got and have they held up?
Good job you two, also the first video that addresses the back slant position out of the many videos that I've been looking at, thanks and nice job again.
Great job , looks very nice
Outdoor furniture is CRAAAZZY expensive!! Awesome hack!!!!!
Hack makes is sounds cheap. I agree store furniture is crazy $$$ And I would put this head to head with most!!!
Very nice 👍👍👍
Awesome work. I especially like the 45 degree cuts and how you attached the arms. Wish I saw this video before I started my own from another RUclips hack. Keep up the good work!
Do you guys have plans available? Also can you keep those puppies the same age? I could watch them run around all day
Great project guys. Just fyi, a pocket hole jig with pocket hole screws would be easier than drilling your screws in at an angle. Your way less likely to have the wood split as well. Just some food for thought. Again great project, I'm going to build some to use for indoor furniture.
Better than the store stuff. Good job
Great idea 👍🏽👍🏽
hey, thanks for the guides to the measurements especially the seat heights. you've been very inspirational for me and i will be doing something very soon... thanks again
Very good work!
We made this furniture. It's beautiful! Do you have a problem with the back cushions slouching and moving everywhere?
Awesome job guys ! Love it trying to decide on buying but I’m pretty good with my tools and made other things so I will prob make the sofas !! Again great job
This is superrrrrr cool!! I've been wanting to reupholster my indoor coucg
*couch
I like it good job guys
These look amazing! I can't wait until we move into a house so that we can actually have a backyard and space. Putting this in my back pocket for Justin in the future XD
Let me know how they turn out when you do!
You guys are cute. I like the narration and switch back to video and explanation.
Did you pre-stain the wood?
great diy project, love the result
We are running into the same issues, outdoor furniture is pricey. I would add to what you said and go even higher, your set is easily $3500! So go you guys! We plan to build this set soon but I gotta find cushions first. In the meantime, what screw lengths are you using. I paused the video to try and figure it out but I don’t see it. Thanks in advance for the reply. Hope all is going well, keep up the great videos!
Thanks so much :) We used 2 inch for most of it, and 1 1/4 for attaching the smaller pieces like the triangle supports and fence boards for the seat!
Incredible job! They came out awesome!!!
Great Job! I Love them! & your dogs too) 🙂
Great job......
Great job... I'm inspired!
I wish u r OK in this crona problem the vidio is good
Thank you! We are well, hoping everyone is staying safe and healthy :)
Do you guys plan on posting plans on how to make this?
Great job! Those totally look like something you purchased. Love the way it all turned out. And so happy to see a new video from you! :)
Yay! That was the goal haha - happy to be back : )
Ideally one would wait until the end of summer to build this. The $60 cushions at Lowes are regular price, We bought the same cushions at the end of summer for $30. :) That's a deal!
Thats amazing!
Thanks for the video, it was very hopeful. We are going to try to build ours this week. Question for you. For the sofa, did you provide any kind of support for the middle?
If you stop the video at 3:05 you can see that the sofa has an additional vertical back piece in the middle, we mirrored that in the seat of the sofa as well and added additional screws. You do not need additional legs if you do this!
Thanks. Keep the videos coming.
Yes! We added an extra support under the fence boards - apologies on such a late reply :(
figure oout, ooutdoor furniture, ooutside haha y'alls accent! ❤ You guys are so crafty, love the inspiration :) also love the puppies at the end, adorable!
Haha thanks so much!
nice work looks better than some in store...one question are slats 1x4 or 1x6...tfs
The slats are actually fence boards but you can use 1 x 4's as they are just there for additional support for the cushions.
Thank you Love
Do you have the dimensions for the couch anywhere ?
Great job. Where did you get the seat cushions ?
Lowes!
"you guys did a great job..
What was your material list please
Hi, so cool your outdoor style. I souscribe now. Emilien from france
What stain did you use on your wood?
How did you determine the height of the arm rest and seating area? Is there an equation or was it trail and error?
We used a chair that we found comfortable in our home to decide on the height. It's also good to remember that arm rests being a little low is much better than them being too high in regards to comfort :)
Thanks for the response, really do appreciate it.
tnx guys!
What was the cost for the wood?
Wow nyc
Hi, do you have the dimensions?
Your husband looks like Ed Sheeran. Cute
Lindo simples e confortável
Did you guys stain the wood yourselves before starting the assembly?
We didn't stain the wood, its pressure treated and came that way
Hi great page ☺ Keep it up!
Buenas Noches
Le escribo desde Ccs-Venezuela. El asiento es rustico fino; tendrías los planos para un sofá de dos (2) puestos. Saludos Gracias de antemano.
where would i find the information to make the couch? This looks very nice and solid
Jim Teahan jermanrailcarinteriar
Unfortunately we don't have any written instructions. Its basically the same, just add additional support to the centre :) It is very solid!
Ok can you build it for me
Fernando. Bonito trabalho traduz para Português (Brasil)
Hi my friend Can you give me the sofa design I mean the dimensions Thank you
The dimensions will depend on the size of your cushions! If you want I can check and send though :)
All my vlog footage for this couldnt make the cut :( But a new room transformation will come soon!
How heavy would you say the chairs are?
I couldn't say an approximate weight but the chairs are moveable by one person, I can move them around the yard myself - Sarah
Reno Ready thanks
can you post the cut list?
ihoppoet all of the cuts depend on the size of your cushions and personal preference on the height you want, so it’s all up to that.

Nice furniture #mdmatiurrahman
Gueones fomes
Great video! Really loving your channel!! I'll be here to support you! Hope you can check out my recent cover and comment your opinions !
Nice work dude. "Modern woman" doesn't like to sew. Imagine if you didn't like to work with wood... This entire video wouldn't exist 😂
The girl talks more than you bro, steel good job man
Another question. How high off the ground is the bottom of the 2x6?
Ours are based off of what we found comfortable, I would suggest basing it off a chair height you know you like but keep in mind the cushion on top as well
