I put on the Kraton wheel set and the truck doesn't want to back flip as much. I believe there's a 1/2 in offset on each side from those wheels. The Mojave tires are also fun to run.
Really nice review! Thank you! I for one really appreciate this type of informative content. I just bought the outcast today and am really looking forward to driving it!
Make sure to leave pinion alone. Going higher will cause motor to overheat. Clean out gear box after a few runs if running in sand. Make sure factory gear mesh is not too tight. Enjoy !! And thank for positive feedback.
One of the things I like to do with the roll bar and the wing is replace the screws with socket head screws. By doing that, it gives you more meat to wear down. It also makes it easier to get the screws out when they do wear down, unlike the button head screws that will strip.
This is my next truck that im going to buy. I just bought a ARRMA granite 3s v3 4x4 blx. And im loving it. And ARRMA as a brand name. Great review bro.
I have owned many bashers in the 2 decades l have been in this hobby and this truck is one of my favorite trucks l ever owned after l have modified it to approval.
This is one rig I don’t own but I think I might grab one. They look like a lot of fun. I’ve seen guys bash the piss out of these and they don’t seem to break. Skate park time.
Love the sensibility of this channel, awesome. Does this have a centre diff that you can split the power up and not have some much at the rear wheels. Great review.
I’m a nitro head. looking for my first Lipo truck. I’ve been looking at this one I think you just sold me on it. Thanks for the PM tip on the gearbox. 👍👍
I have the V1 and was very reluctant to buy V2…So concerned it would be totally under built and over powered like the first platform. The Wider a bit longer is a Huge upgrade…appreciate your video very much thank you for your time and investment in buying cars and testing them before you just tell people they are great!
under built and over powered is exactly what it is - I broke mine on every outing, it got tiresome and I eventually fixed it for the last time and sold it
This was a great, informative video. Regular guys like me want to know things like this about these cars. Not everyone wants to see videos where people bash them to pieces and bust them all up. You stated you’re in the tri state area? So are you in Illinois or Indiana by chance?
Great video. I almost gave it away after just driving 100 meters. Just to be nice with a friend. But i gave him a e revo v1 with new motor and esc instead. Glad i did that. hehe. Got a new sub
I use the stock tires on my Outcast 4s as well as my Traxxas Max V2. I think the Traxxas sledgehammer tires are good. Although they do ballon a lot. With that being said the Arrma tires are heads above the Sledgehammer tire.
Yes definitely get the V2 one. The drivetrain on the V1 can barely withstand 3S power so you definitely want the V2. The upgrades alone will be more then the entire car.
Hey man…I really like the way you articulate your thoughts. I’m a newbie to this world and have only bought a few Amazon budget bashers and a wltoys buggy to learn. Bought a good charger and have acquired some decent batteries so eyeing my first serious car. I’m torn between this car, the Kraton 4S and the Notorious. Still need a ton of hours to get the hang of it all. Which would you recommend?? Also…I’ve been leaning towards the Kraton (tricks aren’t my thing, maybe not yet, I love flying around and rippin sh*t up!) so if your pick isn’t the Kraton…why not?? Thanks man!
Hey ....TY for your positive feedback. I like the Outcast best since its more playful. The Kraton is a bit more planted and sure footed. The outcast more wheelie happy and energetic since its shorter than Kraton. You cannot lose with either. Both same in POWER dept..... If you can please Support channel and BUY from us it would be awesome..... You can text me at 732-539-8002 for personal service...Thx...
Hell yeah man these things hit motor cross scale jumps like the air has tarmac.. however i backflipping going top end can turn your truck into a gymnast😂
Hi lee, did you already grab any of both? I'm new in this hobby too and im still trying to figure out with which go, i really love the outcast but it looks like too wild on wheelies
I have same buggy but after 6 months it's cuts out on 3s and 4s it's been back 4 times now and still no difference run for couple minutes then won't run it's like it going to safe mode any advice be great full please
Getting that motor back in after the pinion gear strips is nearly impossible. Two days later & I still can’t it the mesh to line up while pulling up on that dang tab! What a dumb design
I bought 2 of these trucks and both broke on the first battery. And the parts are not available. I would stay away from this truck until they fix the weak points
Uh huh. You bought 2 of these, and they both broke on the first battery? Sounds more like driver error, or inexperience, than an outcast issue. I’ve had mine a while and have broken nothing!
love my outcast 4s. i changed the rear wheelie bar mount to the kraton mount.......was sick of having it flip over all the time. the outcast wheelie bar is to high up IMO.
The traxxas xrt blows this car away….. i to am in the hobby shop business and have been selling and repairing rc cats for 18 years and i get alot of compliments about arrma for many reasons! We have sold traxxas , tamiya and axial and we get way better results with traxxas. There is a shop close by that sells arrma and i know he gets alot of compliments about them, traxxas’ customer service is absolutely amazing….. not to much with arrma.

Just got a maxx v2 and love it. Looking for another 4s for son and he likes this one
good review, thanks , going out to get mine today from my local shop, Frankton models Hamilton NZ... cheers from New Zealand.

Ty !! It does not have a center diff. It has a high quality slipper pad system.

@@triv7252 Hey. The V1?
vert detailed vid! Loved it! Convinced me to get my first Arrma vehicle

So if I see a v1 for sale do I just stay clear of it? I have a chance to get one, but i dont want to regret it...

Please buy from us if you can. Ty !
@@ParkflyersRC I live in Sweden, otherwise I would definetly consider it :)
I agree it just felt fun instantly. Just wants to flip more than I like. I might sell my mojave now lol.
is this a better option over the new kraton 4s? was set on the kraton but i’m new to this and my knowledge isn’t great
Both are good !

You're welcome!
I run the 4s tires on all my 17mm hex cars!
Smart !!
What you guys mean when your taking about 4s amd 6s?
the batteries. 4s has 4 cell battery 6s is well... 6cells.
more cells is more power.
And remember to check for fishing line
LOL,,,🎣

4s Kraton should be the same, right?
Not quite,Kraton has a longer wheel base so it doesn't do tricks like the Outcast 4s. Both are good but the Outcast 4s does not disappoint.
I love this car but it is not a basher...it will break everytime
It's nice, but the chassis breaks too easy when doing big air. Thanks for the video 👍
Chassis brace
