A shame the Redguns just dwindled further and further throughout the game with deaths, desertions and betrayals until it’s only G1 Michigan and his most loyal MTs against you or G5 Iguazu now one with ALLMIND.
G6 red actually survives the longest. But yeah Michigan was the Ace. I think that's why the red guns failed. Majority of the pilots were average. Where as the Vespers had at least 4 really good pilots. V1,V2,V5,V4. Red guns mainly had Michigan. Even G4 gets killed before you arrive at Wallclimber. G7 dies before the start of the game. You find his AC in the tutorial mission. G2 also does in chapter 1. So yeah the Red guns were always doomed to fail
maybe because arquebus got the upperhand by seizing pca resources and also they kinda lack ace pilots by the time you reach watchpoint alpha its like 3 or 4 high rank officer are dead
The chatter between G1 Michigan and his troops during the battle is what really makes it quite memorable (which I had to listen to a lot while trying to S-rank it XD)
@bombomos tbf Volta's death is less due to him being poor and more down to the overall incompetency of the red guns in general. Not only is he sent in alone (because Iguazu goes AWOL) but Gun Head is also the worst of the Balam ACs to send. He's an immobile tank, that specialises in close quaters combat, being sent into a wide open space that's being fired at by like 16(?) cannons. Even if he were to perform a miracle and get to the juggernaut he would have failed. He would have never been able to out maneuver the juggernaut by himself. He was essentially sent to his death because the rest of Balam didn't think it through
An interesting thing to note is that according to some of the cut lines, that mech Iguazu was piloting at the end was being powered entirely by his unrelenting rage. The dude was so pissed he was powering a giant robot entirely by himself. You have to respect the dude.
Cant respect someone only led by their emotions, ones they have no control over either to lead them down such a path. It's the ultimate tantrum, spite and envy just as much fuel.
Wish we couldve sided with them, i love their dynamic and G6's voice is forever in my head with calling me G13. Vespers were cool but the Redguns just satisfied my tastes better.
Generally, I'd love the alternatives to side at least with the corps. PCA would be neat but makes no sense. I'd still play each ending once and then continue to liberate the shit out of Rubicon
Shoutout to G4 Volta for taking out tons of Tetrapod MT before dying, leaving 1 Tetrapod MT defending the Wall and for 621 to defeat in Operation Wallclimber A user in r/armoredcore pointed out that during the mission Exploration Depth 2 in NG (1st playthrough) the fight with G5 Iguazu has some of his AC parts replaced with Mind Alpha and Allmind parts Most notably the Mind Alpha Arms and the Orbit that replaces his Pulse Shield, it was pointed out that Iguazu had an Arquebus Generator due to its thrusters emitting a blue color
Also if we look at the reveal trailer, we can see a glimps of AC that looks like Volta when Juggernaut came crashing through the wall Idk if it was him tho, he didn't brought Zimmerman on the left hand
I think it’s noteworthy that the Redguns’ aesthetic of military camo with solid red accents seems to me to be a direct shoutout to the Red Shoulders of Armored Trooper Votoms, an 80s mecha anime series that Armored Core takes a lot of inspiration from. However despite the visual similarities the two units are polar opposites in ethos - the Redguns seem to prefer to pick up down-on-their-luck individuals to build up, whereas the Red Shoulders were formed by taking high-performance soldiers from existing military units and putting them through brutal live-fire exercises and absurdly demanding training with low survival rates. Only the most ruthless soldiers and hardiest survivors would survive to become part of the unit, which itself would become notorious for the multitude of brutal war crimes it committed. I think the contrast is intentional, anyone who’s au fait with the mecha genre and jumps into this to see a corporate mercenary brigade decorated with something very similar to one of the most infamously brutal factions within mecha fiction would expect them to be heartless and brutal as well - the subversion is that the Redguns are very human as far as a corporate mercenary force goes, and the true brutality and evil is reserved for Arquebus
Absolutely, I know from interviews that VOTOMS and Battletech of all franchises are inspirations for Armored Core. Votoms really showed to me in both the AC’s style of boost gliding movement and the themes in AC1, AC3 of AI Overlords pulling the strings in the Backgrounds like Wiseman did Votoms. BT supplied inspiration for mech designs, and apparently the heeo being a gun for hire since while BT is famous for byzantine political fighting between the Great Houses a lot of influential moments in setting are done by guns for hire like the Gray Death Legion, Wolf’s Dragoons, and Kell Hounds.
Now you have me contemplating a sort of Last Redgun build. It'd have to be light to act as a sort of Turbo Custom, or at least fast, but Balam's not so hot at that...Furlong boosters do the biz for that though!
I really like Iguazu's character. I think you did a lot better justice to him than most of the loretubers have. It seems like most everyone's opinion of him is that he's whiny or something. He doesn't seem whiny, to me. He seems like a dude who was forced into military service and forcibly disfigured through experimental surgery for the goals of a corporation that couldn't give a single shit about his wellbeing, and then afterwards (from his viewpoint) abused and mistreated with the goal of training him into an obeying dog. I think his vindictiveness, falsely high opinion of himself, his jealousy, and his pursuit of great skill blinding him to the more human aspects of what it means to be alive are all characteristics that I think most "gamers" at large would do well to examine within themselves, honestly. That's probably why so few people end up liking his character... Thanks for doing him justice, ACL
Thank you it is just my take on the character and i think the different views is what allows us all to create videos on Iguazu as we all see this character differently and it makes him more interesting.
talking about empathy rings hollow when you casually dismiss and do the exact same thing to a broad group of people cause you don't like the perseption of a guy who despite all that is an arrogant, cowardly, whiner and that still stands why he's like that makes sense but he made his bed he chose to gamble and had to get augmented he chose to start a fight with Michigan remember it says he defended himself and he chose to esclate with 621 and desert his comrade g4 he's a b-st-rd plain and simple
Iguazu is a bully. He is frankly, an asshole. He lords over 621 and just throws insults for literally no reason during their first meeting, leaking very important info in the process. Stupid and mean, on top of incompetence. While iguazu blames 621 for everything, 621 had nothing to do with his poor life choices prior to and after this point in his life. He chose to gamble his life away, he chose to fight Michigan, and he chose to antagonize 621, when Iguazu is the one guy that should be able to empathize with 621 the most, being both 4th gens. The reason his life turned out so messed up was all just the consequences of his own actions, you will get apple trees if you plant apples seeds after all. But of course he refuses to accept that. And I, for one, cannot say I've ever been antagonistic to a temporary colleague that's just doing their job. Have you? Or is it just a habit of yours to cast aspersions on large groups of people? He's a very fascinating character to study for sure, but one should look at his story as a cautionary tale, not a sympathetic one.
Volta is the only arena-registered AC pilot to die in a way that doesn't involve 621, and frankly deserved better as one of the toughest of the bunch and a guy that was getting his life together.
@@Ikcatcher He said Arena-registered pilot. g7 Hakra is in fact a redgun, but isn't mentioned or registered in the arenas. hence why he said "The only arena registered Ac pilot"
@@IkcatcherG3 WU HUAHAI is rank 22/D that replaced him as the Raven registered into the arena. look i get what you're saying, but he was a former ranker, therefore he wasn't even worth mentioning being anything related to the current rankers he actually met and fought, which all of them were killed by him in every ending or hunting log, except Volta.
I find it rather odd that many of Balam's parts have low energy defense. I get the impression from the game that Arquebus is their main rival, and they primarily use energy weaponry in their ACs.
Balam is familiar with (read: produces) kinetic and explosive weaponry (Dafeng), so it makes sense that they develop only develop armor that is familiar to what they produce (seeing as Balam’s engineers are probably unfamiliar with energy weapons) Same thing for Arquebus; they *should* have high kinetic and explosive defense seeing as their competitors make kinetic and explosive weapons, but they don’t because they don’t have much experience in how kinetic/explosives work
@@A1Reall yup also this is effectivley a one time war these corps are fighting over coral I doubt they come to blows this often with this much this is likley there first major conflict with eachother so makes sense both sides brought what they know
I think this is more interesting, because it shows the difference in battle tactics between Balam and Arquebus. Balam command also made several critical mistakes that wasted resources, but it falls in line with how they work. This might also hint at why Balam ultimately lost the Jupiter war.
I don't know why, but I had a thought of Balam's surviving Redguns teaming up with the Rubicon Liberation Front. I know it's very unlikely, but it would've been a good addition to either the "Liberator of Rubicon" ending or the "Die is Cast" ending. Since the only enemy corporation you face in the end is Arquebus.
i dont really think thats possible since balam are the once who imprisoned top liberation officers like dulmayan and zhi yi from that prisoner rescue mission
By the time the endings happen, there aren't any more Redguns alive, depending on which missions you played and which ending you choose. G7 always dies before the story starts, with his pilot's license being one of the ones you find in the tutorial. G1 Michigan (my beloved) always dies during mission 31, "Intercept the Redguns". Either you kill him or Rusty does. G2 Nile optionally dies in the NG+ "Prisoner Rescue" mission, and G4 Volta always dies before operation wallclimber. You always kill G3 at the start of "Reach the Coral Convergence", although he's defected to help Arquebus, so it's easy to forget him. G5 Iguazu dies in the non-NG+ Depth 2 exploration mission. He wouldn't have helped anyways. That only leaves G6, who we find is still alive in the depths during the NG++ mission. But he's the only Redgun who hasn't been explicitly killed earlier in the story. Presumably he dies or is captured by Arquebus forces some time before the first two endings. By the end of the game, in the most charitable situation, the only Redguns alive are G2 Nile, G5 Iguazu, and G6 Red. It would be a nice nod to mention them if they were alive, but looking at how G3 already deserted much earlier, I doubt the Redguns are still around by the time the ending happens. It's implied that a decent amount of time passes between getting captured and any of the endings. If I remember correctly, Walter even says that Balam has evacuated off Rubicon to fight a political battle instead of a military one.
@@alexlowe2054 Yeah, I think the lack of a dedicated Balam/Redguns victory story ending is my biggest gripe with AC6. I loved a lot about this game, but honestly the lack of variance in the story options really bugged me, doubly so given how simple this game's story is presented, almost completely through faceless voice recordings and in-game interactions like fights. It would not have been difficult at all for Fromsoft to add in a Balam route to the game, and given how well-received Michigan and other Redguns were by fans, it seems like one of the biggest missteps of the game to not have a Balam route.
@@InvokeZeroThe story is about Coral. A Balam route would add nothing to the question about Coral, after all, Arquebus didn't get a route, why would Balam?
So during the missions Depth 2 Reach the Coral Convergence (alt mission) During these missions if you use photo mode and look at Iguazu ac he has swapped out some parts. Here’s his new parts Arms: Mind Alpha L-Back Unit: ORBT Generator: VP-20C? EXPANSION: Assault Armor
Michigan was just an injection of personality for a FS game. I thoroughly enjoyed every single one of his exchanges with other characters. I hope FS is able to learn from this writing approach when it comes to new games.
I wish Volta lived, seemed like a really interesting character. In attack the dam, he’s clearly influenced by friends easily, going with iguazu in assuming your skill but then acknowledging that you’re good. I just think that if we had another mission with him he’d be a great character
I would agree in fact i think if Volta lived, he would have been better foe for 621 then Iguazu. He respected 621 power, he was learning business from an ex criminal which while not the best he did manage to really cripple balam markets so there has to be some good knowledge in there. Yes the more i think about i think Volta would have been either a really good ally or the good final boss.
Redguns seemed like a fun bunch that we didn't get enough time with. There is also an instance where 621 and Iguazu team up together...sort of haha. In the mission "Stop the Secret Research Data Breach" he shows up because he wanted to earn some extra credits. You both fight for a moment, as he wanted revenge for attacking him at the dam, before the unmanned mechs show up and attack you both. Iguazu asks for help to defeat them..but he never gives you a friendly icon so you can fight all of them at the same time and he complains about why you're also attacking him haha.
In the Redguns drawing, I think from left to right it's Volta, Wu Hua Hai, Iguazu, Michigan, Nile, and Red. Not sure about the first three, but I feel pretty confident about the last three.
Small Addition, we know G7 carries a Xuan-Ge in the right hand, its on the ground next to it, and dataminers found the full preset, but alas, no other info.
i feel sad for g6 red he ask for help and you lend him a hand then he went insane. red guns ac are mostly heavy type kinetic/explosive builds. red guns forever
post-traumatic stress disorder... the pain of everyone who lived to high stress and extreme traumatic experience. not even a harden soldier can handle it. i will not blame G6 for going berserk. nor anyone who suffer the same level of stress and trauma to anyone else.
Redguns have like 1,5 competent people. They have: Mean old war criminal and his partner in torturing captives; Two turncoats; A certified dumbass; And a paranoid wannabe soldier afraid of a number. Let it sink in that the damn Vespers have better loyalty and competence record. And they have like 2 double agents in them too!
I want a DLC for AC6 that is solely JUST to side with Balam and mop the floor with everybody. Balam wins, RLF is crushed, PCA is crushed, Arquebus is stomped, Overseer is molleywhopped, Allmind gets yeeted, and MEAN OLD MICHIGAN awards you with a fancy medal. I don't care if it doesn't make sense, I want more of Michigan being a nutcase.
and crest and mirage are like chrome and murakumo. I think we can say at this point a lot of corporations share design ideas from previous games corporations.
The Quad-Leg AC in the reveal trailer looks really close to Michigan's AC. Although that AC was using a Shotgun on the right hand. In my headcanon, I like to believe that Michigan fought the real Raven shortly before our Main Character landed on Rubicon, just like depicted in the reveal trailer.
Cool theory but doesn't make too much sense because by that logic Michigan was blasted away by pile bunker and killed before the game even started (although he might've withdrawn, but that's unlikely cause as I see it, nobody survives the pile bunker). What's more likely is that it was some lower ranked redgun that we don't know about, like g 8 or g 9 or whatever.
I take it you forgot that mech got a bunker punched through it? Plus, Michigan leads his troops, that AC was alone and did not have the Red Gun color scheme.
speaking of G7, I have a theory that the unknown Balam's Tetrapod AC from the revealed trailer, killed by Raven, could be part of the Redguns. I don't know if it's correct since that AC entirely from Balam, so he could be part of the missing Gs, never mentioned or not exist.
Actually your might be right I think the tetrapod in The trailer is a redgun I mean for sure your answer is correct cause they all use the same as Michigan not the head though body and legs of it so ye I forgot the name of the body and the legs
I think there is an AC with quad leg on illegal entry mission, one of the corpse you scans Maybe he's the guy on the trailer, since raven AC was also around there to
The trailers were not made from From Software, but outsourced to another company,. They took what bit they knew and put something together, but none of it is exactly canon to the story.
Of note at 7:59 is that Iguazu sends a merc on depths 2 if you fought him in the damn and later in Carla's mission. He would attack you there if he doesn't know how strong he is, but requests a merc when he acknowledges he cant best you himself.
The redguns are legitimately some of the most human of the people in the game, they aren't the soulless corporate shills that Arqabis are. Makes me wish there was a path about brokering a peace between Balam and the RLF to take out Arqabis. I think they as a conpany would be open to working out a deal so as to not leave the rubiconians without resources.
I know for me personally I loved the redguns and wish we got a balam ending I just don't like how no matter what balam gets the short end of the stick. Michigan was by far my favorite character in AC6
Agreed. This is the weakest point of the game for me. I loved a lot about AC6, but my biggest complaint is what you mentioned - no Balam route in the story. I feel like any other AC game would have had at least one dedicated Balam route where they win, and AC6 not having one is the one thing that left a sour taste in my mouth by the end of my 3rd play-through. They made Michigan and Red far too likeable to give them the short end of the stick in every route, but that's exactly what Fromsoft did.
@@InvokeZero Lol, no. Every other AC game wouldn't even let you completely side with any of the corporation, and if they had different endings, only one of the corps play a significant role. Case in point: in For Answer, GA America was effectively irrelevant to the larger conflict, as Omer Science took center stage in the conflict. In 3, siding with Crest, Mirage, or Kisaragi made no difference to the ending, because ultimately you side with Union.
Balam's leadership was incompetent, the Red Guns comprised of mostly bad or flaky pilots, and ALLMIND was aiding Arquebus themselves. Even with Raven's aid they cannot win this war.
@@haihuynh8772 Expanding on that, from what we're told and shown in the game, Michigan, or Balam as a larger whole, seems to prefer just throwing tons of bodies face first into things- the implication is that is how their failed attempt to siege The Wall went, we know that's how their jump into Depths 1 went...probably safe to assume it's how they handled their front in the campaign against the PCA too. And that kinda tracks given parallels the Redguns have to the Red Shoulders of Armor Trooper Votoms...meatgrinder tactics were the go-to plans from Gilgamesh and Balarant, even elites like the Red Shoulders weren't any exception given their recruitment process easily could kill off as many established vets as new recruits it ends up keeping.
imo redgun are only 7 pilot, there's no 8-12, g13 is reserved for the independent or fodder for redgun, since they would die on the mission or not stay long enough in redgun
exactly, it makes so much sense, especailly the whole having no other ones seen 8-12 and making it double digit to show distance, you may be helping but you're not truly one of them
It’s interesting you chose the g6 red colour scheme to recreate g7 hakra, I recreated Hakra with Nile’s colour scheme. I also found it interesting that all the red guns names come from different bodies of water
I have a bit of an idea, so I don’t think that’ll be great one I like to see an AC game, but instead of piloting AC we’re pilot mt or an c weapon maybe we are an ai that can control a group of people like say shadow of Mordor it’ll probably never happen, but just a thought.
i hope in the upcoming DLC we got more endings like the amount in last raven i always want to know more of the story branch and each of its conclusion, perhaps we might aswell get a proper re introduction of the crimson menace from the past
@@Downloadable_4from experience of me and a friend using both Schematics against eachother several times, Michigan has alot of counters to Freud but if a single mistimed Detonate or a cooldown takes just so much longer it is brutal
I've commented about this before ... But in the mission "Ambush the Redguns" the way the MT pilots willingly jump feet first into a cage match with Michigan all while screaming with rage and bravery is one of my favorite moments in the game. That mission made Balam my favorite underdog corporation. Because they weren't just Corp soldiers at that point, they were comrades in arms.
The bounty system was also mentioned in Armored Core: Last Raven. Every Raven including ourselves had a bounty. It was usually either based on assets, skills, or even primary targets. Imo, bounties here are rewards for defeating that certain pilot.
It was however the issue with Last raven is we have two powers that really are not governments in a sense of how they work in our world. One was three corporations who basically laid down the iron fist on people and the other was jack-o having a group to basically weed out weaklings.
@armoredcorelore from what I see if the corporations can take down the PCA a government force I'm not surprised they have such a crony sort of style of business
It was after all he was just a guy who really enjoyed his job and was proud to be a part of his heroes squad and then we took it and his life from him.
I don't think G8-G12 even necessarily exist, and probably don't in reality. It's just Michigan's sense of humor to call the next fodder pilot G13 as a "lucky number", while he's also playfully pretending the Redguns are more substantial than they are.
@@OmegaKatanaXIIIusually AC has expansions within the same generation that are somewhere between a DLC and a new game, and given From's tendency to make DLC for everything nowadays I imagine there's another campaign coming before AC7 enters development.
¿Does anybody notice that none of the Redguns MENTION or CARED to Comment something about they're Fallen Commrade G7 Harka? Is kinda sad if you think about it.
to some degree in all of iguazus obnoxious attitude and behavior. I beileve that his character would of had some positive improvement, had Volta not have died on operation Wall Climber. Volta and Iguazu had this unbreakable and unspoken brotherly bond as their emblems share a similarity. they endured the worst of Balems soldiers (not the redguns) and made them the arrogant assholes they are today. but being around michigan had so much potential to make them better soldiers and better men. hence why Michigan had a degrading remark to iguazu whenever he opened his big mouth, but also reminded his squad members who also downtalked Iguazu that he is 100 times more worth a man than they are. I learned that the Red guns aren't exactly the dumbest or most arrogant characters the player is suppose to hate or dislike in the game. its mostly Balem who makes these suicidal tactics and choices for the red guns, that g1 michigan has no choice but to put up with their requests and find ways to make sure they all survive, while at the same time polish his men to be better than what they are.
I would like to add that large portions of Japan have a basic misunderstanding of what Bounty Hunters are. So I wouldn’t put much stock into questioning a nonsensical Bounty system in Japanese media
I will have to go with your knowledge on this as i have very little understanding of Japanese culture or history. Only what is taught in the uk education system. Which is not a lot. Plus if we really want to hit the nail on the head here, its a piece of fictional media as you say. It does not need to make sense to be enjoyed.
@@armoredcorelore my personal favorite was when a fan asked the creators of Metroid about Samus’ actual bounty hunting career only to be met with confusion when the fan asked about their main character hunting down people. Apparently they thought Bounty Hunters were sort of like western Ronin rather than people who hunt down others for money.
Yeah I was a little disappointed I couldn’t side with balam and I had a lump in my throat the first time I killed Michigan and heard his last words. Michigan was a perfect character for who they wanted you to envision. The first time he told me to sound off I literally said hooah out loud lmao loved the guy
Ha ha well that is quite the connection to the character. He was very well written and i know the ac community certainly is embracing G1 as a good character so i like to think we might get some time with the commander.
Hmm to be honest i think it would be Cannon head. Don't get me wrong i like my quad legs but out of all of them i could see myself using cannon head more as i like weapons that do a lot of damage and i do tend to stay close to a foe when i play ac6. So it be Cannon head for me.
This video helped me realize something. Maybe the fall of Balam was predictable from the very beginning of the game. The Redguns all have weaker than average energy defenses. Yet their biggest enemy, Arquebus, tends to favor energy weapons. The Redguns were always at a disadvantage compared with the Vespers. Armored Core has such crazy lore just by the parts that pilots choose. There are several other lore lessons that can be learned from just the parts that people selected. Like how Sulla has equipped the perfect loadout to take down Baltaus. What was he doing up there? Then Rusty's reverse joint legs are perfect for operation wallclimber, as a hint to players to try a lighter more agile build for that boss. Then Kate Markson's AC also says something about her origins. The hidden lore in this game is just too good.
Rusty's legs aren't actually reverse joint. They're just weird looking normal legs with above average jump height. Though I guess that foreshadows how Rusty was being used to trick you into getting yourself killed and wasn't really supposed to fight the juggernaut
The first point is just normal AC setting stuff, one megacorp always favors some aspects while the competitor does the others. Emeraude parts favored shell defense while Zio Matrix parts preferred energy; Crest vs Mirage was the same with the extra dynamic in that all the Overboost w/missile interception cores were made by Crest while Mirage made all the Exceed Orbit cores.
lol I can assure you that in *all* of the Armored Core universes, there's no such thing as "international laws," or "rules of engagement," or probably even "war crimes," likely, to the point that a distinguished private military commander putting a bounty on himself wouldn't be illegal by any body of jurisdiction
Well i mean in ac2 and ac2aa there was an earth government in place to make these sort of rules and laws and they seem to have earth under a good grip. It was just mars they had trouble enforcing thier rules.
@@armoredcorelore oh shit no you're actually right, AC2's universe *did* have a government that was more than a mysterious AI or vague gestures towards an interplanetary fleet. I'm certainly not *always* right, and to be entirely fair I only played AC2 and AA once and that was when I was a teenager, so over/around a decade ago. I usually just skip straight to AC3 when I play ps2 oldgen >.> my bad tho but still I think the point is somewhat valid? I mean I doubt 'war crimes' still really exist to much of a degree in *most* of the Armored Core settings. After all, when there's missions like "kill unarmed squatters," or "murder striking workers," that just leaves...little room for anything else to really be considered a 'crime' lol
@@lillyclarity9699 Ha ha honestly don't take this as me pointing out your wrong because this is the only time in ac there is a government who sort of has control on what happens and has rules. Not that the corporations of that time follow them unless they really had too. You are right with your thinking it just ac2 and ac2aa is an expectation to the usual idea. As previous ac games had this very lawless way of life with the ai being very happy to let crimes happen as long it did not get in the way of its master plan and ac4 was basically corporations had thier own rules so anything was ok long as it did not affect them. 5th gen was factions fighting an all out war who's leaders may have wanted to seem civil but most likely let war crime happen because they had too much on thier plate to really be trying to be fair and just.
Nobody ever mentions how the Redguns are named after rivers. in contrast the vespers seemed to be named after puns on adjectives of famous musicians, philosophers,ect...
I mean it is a neat fact. But the reason i did not mention it is to me it feels more a connection to our world not ac6's. I could be wrong and the world in ac6 is just like ours and it has these rivers, but we never see them to confirm.
@@armoredcorelorewe know humanity is from earth as walter was sent to jupiter and the fact that G1 is a vetern of a war there so unless some real fucky stuff went down earth has those rivers

Oh thank you. I will be honest i think its because i am getting back into the swing of things after my trip up with the ac6 story video. Crossing fingers it keeps up =)
Well i got mine in the pre order, however from what i have heard and read it unlock as you play. That's the parts that unlock as the only thing that the pre order got which cant get be unlocked is the decal of the tenderfoot.

Like many, you use the word Jealousy incorrectly. Iguazu ENVIES 621, because he HAS what Iguazu DOESN'T. Jealousy implies that Iguazu felt threatened by 621 because he wanted to PROTECT what he HAD from 621, which makes no sense given the context.
And i think the two words have so much history of being used together that most people would say he is jealous of what he has. Rather then he is envious of what he has. Either way the point is made and understood.

I get that especially for red, he just seemed like a normal guy. Growing up he wanted to be like his hero and once there he kept working to help his family. Only to end up losing everything he loved to someone he thought was a fellow ac pilot.
@@armoredcorelore Pater also definitely pulls out some sympathy from players, especially on the mission where you're specifically out to assassinate him and Hawkins. 3:02 As far as we are led to know, being augmented is basically a requirement to pilot ACs at this point. In the early stages of ACs it was not (and it is of course still possible to do without) but at this point, being augmented would seem to make a pilot so much superior to an unaugmented one, that we must assume all to be augmented. Otherwise your place would likely be an MT. [And yes this especially includes Freud, who was misinterpreted by some to be unaugmented.]
"However, the real Freud is simply an ordinary human being--a man who enjoys piloting his AC and making incremental improvements to his daily sorties." this is from the game, how can you misinterpreted that? lmao Freud is only human afterall
@@KABLAMMATS A. Because I do not see how "ordinary human" excludes being augmented, now sure they are not "normal" but still human. E.g. Carla, V.III O'Keeffe, Walter, ... I could go on MUCH more. They only notable exception being ofc Snail, who is somewhat inhuman the way he acts and talks. (And even that only after closer inspection). B. Because Snail's entry specifically states that the Vespers are an "Augmented Human Squad". C. Because Freud's entry only refers to him not having received "additional treatments" like snail did (which are apparently ... somewhat ... immoral in Snail's case) D. Because Freud, the No.1 ranked pilot of ALL, not being augmented would create a HUGE logic-hole about augmentation in general. And finally: E. Because this misinterpretation obviously has its roots in a weird romanticism for Freud (which I personally do absolutely not share [I see him more as a psychopathic killer that enjoys what he does way to much])

I figure it is because freud doesn't drink the Kool-aid, i.e. he isn't here for sides or really ideals anyway Arquebus give him a hanger and a license to kill, but really it is the fight and self improvement is all he is loyal to. Balam makes solid parts for longevity and Arquebus does fast and supportive in combat he probably caught on to this and so he was looking for it all I.e. he literally just built what he learned was good from various encounters and ended up with locksmith.

- G1 Michigan final moments
And he will be remembered by all.
He was essentially sent to his death because the rest of Balam didn't think it through
G1 Michigan was a beast went down swinging. One of my least replayed missions.

Shoutout to G4 Volta for taking out tons of Tetrapod MT before dying, leaving 1 Tetrapod MT defending the Wall and for 621 to defeat in Operation Wallclimber
A user in r/armoredcore pointed out that during the mission Exploration Depth 2 in NG (1st playthrough) the fight with G5 Iguazu has some of his AC parts replaced with Mind Alpha and Allmind parts
Most notably the Mind Alpha Arms and the Orbit that replaces his Pulse Shield, it was pointed out that Iguazu had an Arquebus Generator due to its thrusters emitting a blue color
iguazu replaced his linear rifle with a karasawa with the allmind frame.
Neat this is why the ac community is cool. We see, we learn, we share with others. Its super neat!
Also if we look at the reveal trailer, we can see a glimps of AC that looks like Volta when Juggernaut came crashing through the wall
Idk if it was him tho, he didn't brought Zimmerman on the left hand
It's hard to imagine being a Japanese game and Japanese devs that inspiration from real robot anime wouldn't be behind it in some form or fashion.

Thank you it is just my take on the character and i think the different views is what allows us all to create videos on Iguazu as we all see this character differently and it makes him more interesting.
talking about empathy rings hollow when you casually dismiss and do the exact same thing to a broad group of people cause you don't like the perseption of a guy who despite all that is an arrogant, cowardly, whiner and that still stands why he's like that makes sense but he made his bed
he chose to gamble and had to get augmented he chose to start a fight with Michigan remember it says he defended himself and he chose to esclate with 621 and desert his comrade g4 he's a b-st-rd plain and simple

Both statements can be true.
I think this is more interesting, because it shows the difference in battle tactics between Balam and Arquebus. Balam command also made several critical mistakes that wasted resources, but it falls in line with how they work. This might also hint at why Balam ultimately lost the Jupiter war.
Vespers would trash them.

@@VoltMagnum Oh yeah! Good point.

You both fight for a moment, as he wanted revenge for attacking him at the dam, before the unmanned mechs show up and attack you both. I don't care if it doesn't make sense, I want more of Michigan being a nutcase.
The what if of armored core 6.
PRO TIP: Balam is Crest
Arquebus is Mirage
and crest and mirage are like chrome and murakumo.
I don't know what trailer it was, but 617, 19 and 20 fight against the PCA, which you can tell because they have what looks to be a CATAPHRACT tank
That Quad AC is just using a standard melander head piece. Michigan has a custom head specifically made for him if you read the description.
speaking of G7, I have a theory that the unknown Balam's Tetrapod AC from the revealed trailer, killed by Raven, could be part of the Redguns.
I was about to make a comment about that very point. Guess I'm not the only one.

@@somechinesedude5466 none of those 3 we scanned have quad legs, all of them Bipeds, the wreck of that AC was never been found.

I like how they defeat eas forshadowed with one of the licences in the first mission being a red gun
It was the start of a bad fall.
They are a very grounded group out of all on offer in this game and I would not mind another route as i am not the biggest fan of the all mind route.
G5 Iguazu bite off more than he can chew
True and life is unfair sometimes even if you don't know your limits.
Iguazu : I want revenge reeeeee!
621: Who are you again?
That pretty much sums up 621 and Iguazu time together.
621 : I swear I killed that guy 3 times already
It just clicked, the red guns are a dirty dozen! That's why G13 is an unlucky number!

Every Raven including ourselves had a bounty. It was usually either based on assets, skills, or even primary targets.
Imo, bounties here are rewards for defeating that certain pilot.
It was however the issue with Last raven is we have two powers that really are not governments in a sense of how they work in our world. One was three corporations who basically laid down the iron fist on people and the other was jack-o having a group to basically weed out weaklings.

but being around michigan had so much potential to make them better soldiers and better men. hence why Michigan had a degrading remark to iguazu whenever he opened his big mouth, but also reminded his squad members who also downtalked Iguazu that he is 100 times more worth a man than they are.
@@fist-of-doom487 That is cool, never head about that so learned something new today.
And then we have
G5 iguana, an AllSmug simp. Lol😂
Great report on the Redguns. Now the Arquebus and Vespers next
Thank you and Maybe after the rusty video i said i do which will touch upon the vespers and arquebus.
Love your content. Glad I found your channel!!
Thank you for the kind words.
I meam they're all ctiminals of some sort... What did we think would happen to them
Ha ha true although i think we all do like happy endings. But this is armored core so not really on the books.
Im curious, out of all the Redgun's loadouts, which did you prefer?
You forgot G7 Hakra, his log is found in the prologue
I think i mentioned that he had twelve hours on his licence and i did look over thier ac too.
Nice work on the Red Gun memmbers
Thank you.
lol I can assure you that in *all* of the Armored Core universes, there's no such thing as "international laws," or "rules of engagement," or probably even "war crimes," likely, to the point that a distinguished private military commander putting a bounty on himself wouldn't be illegal by any body of jurisdiction
I usually just skip straight to AC3 when I play ps2 oldgen >.>
my bad tho
but still I think the point is somewhat valid?
@@armoredcorelore that makes perfect sense and you are right, its more of a mission report this way and less of a "did you know" video which is great
@@armoredcorelorewe know humanity is from earth as walter was sent to jupiter and the fact that G1 is a vetern of a war there so unless some real fucky stuff went down earth has those rivers
I mean in ac the world has been as mess up a number of times and wasn't Walter sent to Jupiter from Rubicon 3 and we believe g1 is a veteran of the Jupiter war. Honestly i just like more lore ha ha.
I took the G13 as a referance to no guns life, the main charater is Gun slave unit 13.
That's an interesting take ngl.
Michigan is my favorite LOL
He certainly is a character and honestly quite brave and noble in way to put a bounty on his own head know half is going to help his comrades.
More lore more lore!
This is the 621 of Lore Videos
8:10
Screw G3 Wu Huhai. All my homies hate G3
Sounds personal. Honestly though the guy was only looking out for himself in an ac world. Not that it does not mean he's a jerk because he is.
You seem happier than usual in this video. You sound extremely enthusiastic.
Oh thank you. I will be honest i think its because i am getting back into the swing of things after my trip up with the ac6 story video. Crossing fingers it keeps up =)
Here's hoping!@@armoredcorelore
How do you get G13 tenderfoot
Well i got mine in the pre order, however from what i have heard and read it unlock as you play. That's the parts that unlock as the only thing that the pre order got which cant get be unlocked is the decal of the tenderfoot.
Darn
Well what’s the color for the different parts of the G13 tenderfoot AC
BMTGUXKGJKWR
This is the code to someone's re-creation of the tenderfoot build. Use at your leisure.
Is that an X-Box code?
@@Grantbird1964 it's PC, oops...

Ha ha you. Hope your doing well glint.
G13 SOUND OFF
In the first mission when you get the raven licence that ac is g13 . When you access the loadout for that mech it has the g13 decals on it
no, the raven licence is from nightfall ac wreck, i think g13 ac is acquired from fighting iguazu in arena, im not sure because i bought the deluxe edition and you get the g13 ac earlier
I think G13 parts were a preorder bonus
Pretty sure you get the G13 decal after attack the dam vomplex
So red guns gun are really red? They really live up to their name
Red and Dead (but sadly no Redemption)
i don't feel bad at all for Gt iguana. he had all that shit coming and caused his own problems
realized yesterday after watching a build that G3 has the same voice actor as lelouch from code geass
Neat i do love me some code geass.
I like the gun 13 mech
It is pretty neat.
@@armoredcorelore yo thanks for commenting I appreciate it have a good day can’t wait for your next video
@@Jason_1000_5 Always happy to try an comment when i can and i hope you have good day too. I am already onto the next video script as we speak just taking a break ha ha.
I thought we knew that Balam won the Jupiter war?
Just got my last s rank from you Michigan sorry I had to murder you 10 times for it. It was an honor to hear you berate your maggots sir!
Noted down as had a bad fall ten times. How clumsy commander Michigan.
He sought, not seeked.
Noted.
I believe that the RedGuns only have 8 RedGuns to match the 8 Numbered Vespers with G8 being relegated to independent mercenaries and relabled G13 as a sort of joke.
I feel bad killing red or Peter... they both feel the most normal a working man to some extent...
The banter between them if you just sit there and watch for a while...and especially if you kill Hawkins first, when Pater will finally crack and just starts sobbing while hard coping that "V5 Pater doesn't sound too bad"
Yep you gotta feel for the guy who tried to sound like rusty.

3:02 As far as we are led to know, being augmented is basically a requirement to pilot ACs at this point.
In the early stages of ACs it was not (and it is of course still possible to do without) but at this point,
being augmented would seem to make a pilot so much superior to an unaugmented one, that we must assume all to be augmented.
Otherwise your place would likely be an MT. [And yes this especially includes Freud, who was misinterpreted by some to be unaugmented.]
"However, the real Freud is simply an ordinary human being--a man who enjoys piloting his AC and making incremental improvements to his daily sorties."
this is from the game, how can you misinterpreted that? lmao
Freud is only human afterall
@@KABLAMMATS A. Because I do not see how "ordinary human" excludes being augmented, now sure they are not "normal" but still human. E.g. Carla, V.III O'Keeffe, Walter, ... I could go on MUCH more. They only notable exception being ofc Snail, who is somewhat inhuman the way he acts and talks. (And even that only after closer inspection).
B. Because Snail's entry specifically states that the Vespers are an "Augmented Human Squad".
C. Because Freud's entry only refers to him not having received "additional treatments" like snail did (which are apparently ... somewhat ... immoral in Snail's case)
D. Because Freud, the No.1 ranked pilot of ALL, not being augmented would create a HUGE logic-hole about augmentation in general.
And finally:
E. Because this misinterpretation obviously has its roots in a weird romanticism for Freud (which I personally do absolutely not share [I see him more as a psychopathic killer that enjoys what he does way to much])
@@LukazChrom I choose to believe V.I Freud is wholly unaugmented for the sole reason that it makes Walter's "must be tough only having one good pilot" line even more cutting because V.II-V.VIII are all augmented and can't even measure up to V.I. Anything that dumps a load of salt on V.II is preferable.
@@nopenoperson9118 Snail is not exactly a likable character. But I do not understand where the insane hate for him comes XD
At least he talks elegantly.
@@LukazChrom I like his dialect as well, I just don't enjoy what he uses it to say as much, he's a bit of a snake as well though 621 gets plenty of opportunities to be one in turn.
Now do Arquebus and why V. I Freud is the only Vesper with Balam parts🤔
I figure it is because freud doesn't drink the Kool-aid, i.e. he isn't here for sides or really ideals anyway
Arquebus give him a hanger and a license to kill, but really it is the fight and self improvement is all he is loyal to.
Balam makes solid parts for longevity and Arquebus does fast and supportive in combat he probably caught on to this and so he was looking for it all
I.e. he literally just built what he learned was good from various encounters and ended up with locksmith.
A lore hunting we will go!
@Year_of_the_Dell im pretty sure he's been taking the augmentation, i think it said that on his arena description whether willingly or not that i dont know,
@@r4m3ny45 not really the first part mentions people think he is a augment cutting edge like snail but the second part contains the almost word for word quote
"The real freud is just an ordinary human who loves tuning his mech and improving from spars"
