just seen more videos about Industry 4.0, I still have the feeling it is "buzzword" only... in our company, also at present all parts are identified by barcode label with material number and unique serial number, so the machines know what to to with the part. the rfid chip is necessary only on some transport carrier, PLC system holds all the information about the produced part.. using MES, I can control the orders... do we perform industry 4.0 or I am missing something?
