That's one thing I don't like about the Zelda series in general, but especially Majora's Mask. I enjoy side-quests, but the big picture makes it seem inconvenient to do anything else. The moon is crashing? No problem! Let's go fishing!
Aquotron Majoras Mask is the only one Im able to justify it to myself in. Since you're resetting time over and over and can do so infinitely you practically have all the time in the world to mess around and help the individual people.
Well, the characters can sense their birds in the sky. In part one Link didn't want to jump because he didn't sensed his bird in the air. So, they know that their bird is going to catch them.
Similar to how you likely sucked at riding a bike the first time but can do it effortlessly now: it comes with time and culture. They've seen people jump off and fly away on birds their whole lives so it wouldn't be that terrifying.
MRfunnyordie3 I like to think about things from a practical perspective, but sometimes I forget that it's a video game, and that it doesn't have to be realistic. It does make sense when I think about everything the game has showed us about Loftwings.
I believe that's it's totally illegal to place Rupees and a Piece of Heart dangling on a chandelier like that in this game. But I believe that the best place to put them is on the roof of a house, in a chest in someone's room in a house, or in a shop that sells fancy, ancient antiques, heirlooms, and other valuable doohickeys and whatnot. But putting them on a chandelier where you keep knocking it back and forth while it falls from the ceiling and also collecting something that is important to you, and someone yells at you for the destruction of the damage? That is, I believe, to be worth either hundreds, or thousands of Rupees worth of property damage right there, folks.
About people complaining about the lack of progress: Personally, I think Emile is good enough at commentary that he doesn't necessarily have to speed through the game for it to be entertaining. Plus, I like getting the atmosphere of these parts of that game as well. ^ ^ The Lumpy Pumpkin is a nice little place. If you want a more speedy LP, watch Zelda Dungeon or something.
I love that Chuggaa is doing this LP, because I never finished SS because I hated the motion controls, so getting to experience the story with one of my favourite commentators (without having to play myself) is awesome!
Lord Tullus 9 I enjoy really based on the person TBH, if Chuggaa played my literal least favourite game, I'd still watch the shit out of it because it's Chuggaa, because I'm interested in the game it's double as good!
RLCLONED Did you get to the boss of the 4th (water) dungeon? Because if you didn't, YOU REALLY NEED TO. It is, in my opinion, the most satisfying and fun boss fight in Zelda history.
Lord Tullus 9 Lmao, I didn't even get into the first temple, I was busy finding those damn Kiwis, and got bored, left, and Just never really came back to it
The girl who works at the Lumpy Pumpkin _is_ his daughter. And her name is... ...Kina. (I'm amazed that Chugga didn't take the time to specifically mention that pun!)
By my calculations, five minutes have passed, and there is already a total of 200 comments. I predict a 95% chance that this number will increase to over 2000 within the next 24 hours.
+Chiptune I am guessing by your reaction to my analysis that this "math geek" has a negative meaning. +Alfie Parker Chuggaaconroy's batteries have sufficient power as of right now. +DiZ You are welcome. +FrozenEdges As of now, it has reached almost 600 comments. It has currently been 1 hour. My calculations still show a total of 2000 comments within the next 23 hours. +Mimu Mi Current Session Play Time: 00:24Total Play Time: 02:19This concludes my analysis.(As myself oh wow I did not expect these results)
The reason why your bird flies up high over skyloft is physics. Gliders can fly over hot areas like cities and the hot air will rise, giving a boost in altitude to the glider
Pony Eridan, that's admirably observant of you. This makes me think that the dialogue would've had more immersion and polished if it was instead, "hold your loftwings." That expression would also be compounded by how Link's bird continuously fought to get out of the jail Groose and co. made.
"It's probably costly to just put out bamboo all the time" Chugga, bamboo grows extremely quickly, maybe not quick enough to reach the ceiling in minutes, but given that the record for fastest growing bamboo plant is like 3 feet a day, and this game takes place on a magic sky archipelago, maybe this one does
Actually, bamboo grows like a *weed*. The idea of it being regrown every time you walk back into the place isn't that far off, it can grow *feet* in a day, especially if all you're doing is chopping off the top. It also spreads. A lot. It's incredibly fertile stuff.
Anyone else remember that old Amnesia mod, "The Small Horse?" The Lumpy Pumpkin's interior was used in the prequel chapter, the nostalgia just couldn't be ignored.
I'm still expecting him to say "Hey everybody, my name is chuggaconroy! And welcome back to more SPLATOON!" I'll probably never expect him to say skyward sword...
SжγFιαεm3 yeah, the Keese and the chu chus are the other demons! There's no other demons ok skyloft other than those. Just people that try to live normal lives, there's even this really cool guy who lives on a cliff side of skyloft! A lot of people fear him though, but he's pretty chill once you know him! He's even part of a major side quest. Yes I'm being a sarcastic smart-allic in case you can't tell lol
In this episode: we have yet to visit the surface. Again. Zelda is in no danger so... no rush! The only surface you kids are getting is the surface on the dude's forehead.
Today, I bet Chugga will play around with the sword and go kill some enemies. I like the world in this game because it feels very theme based. Here are today's tips. [DISCLAIMER: All tips are given assuming the wii remote and nun chuck work properly.] Guess I was wrong... Dammit Chugga, will you try to go on with the main story? oh well... Tip for Deku babas and Quadrobabas: *With shield - Shield bash, then horizontal slice. *Without Shield(Deku baba) check to see if it opens it's mouth sideways or "regular". Slice accordingly. ***Without Shield (Quadrobaba) - Target it, than Hit in any direction, and finally thrust (forward jabbing motion). Just after you hit a quadrobaba incorrectly (that's what you are going for) it will "center itself", aka move back to it's initial position. Just as it does so, it will open its mouth slightly, opening it to either a horizontal or vertical slice. However, since it can open either way, a thrust to the head just as it opens its mouth is a sure fire way to deal damage. Does it take longer? No. Not if you are quick and precise on your actions. Lastly, You don't NEED a revitilizing potion like emile said, but if you are new or bad at the combat or sheild bashing, then go ahead and get some. Counts: Link Deaths/Falls: 3 Bad Puns: 2 Pots/Barrels Smashed: 11
I honestly think that the Sky Field is 100 times worse than the Great Sea in Wind Waker. At least there were things and islands to explore in the Great Sea. The Sky Field is so empty and slow and doesn't invoke any sense of adventure like the Great Sea did. I honestly loved the Great Sea because I felt like I was a sailor is a vast ocean with thousands of islands to explore, but the Sky Field feels like it is a discount Great Sea.
Really my biggest gripe with the Skyloft, is that the Sky Flying is just separate from the rest actual Gameplay down below! Compare that to the Great Sea in Wind Waker, where the Ocean is connected to the actual Islands, with Towns, Dungeons, Treasures, Rupees, Underground Hidden Secrets, and Enemy Outposts! Or say Hyrule Field in Twilight Princess, where everything is nicely interconnected, you can be attacked by enemies while running by or riding on Horseback! You can find Caves and Secret Heart Pieces and Treasure Chests, puzzles requiring the use of your items scattered about! Comparably speaking, the Sky just feels empty and inconsequential to me! Down below is where you look for most of your heart pieces, loot drops for upgrades, and other such treasure! Really the sky IMO is just a collection of bad sidequests, at least comparatively say to a Majora's Mask, and minigames of varying quality!
Wha? Like half of the collectables are in Skyloft/the islands. On tenie tiny island that ONLY have collecables. And the ALL the "black chests" are in the sky. But I will agree that there isn't much to do up there.
Jumping off the loft wing without using the sailcloth, hopping off a ride while moving fast so it explodes into a wall, smashing into something breakable just because you can. This is the beauty of video games.
Honestly, I prefer the Sky over TP's Hyrule Field. Even if it is emptier than TP's over world, it feels grander than TPs segmented field due to being one huge area
I never thought of swooping at the ground and just letting Link splat on the ground like that XD That is way too funny! I love how the beautiful flight music stopped upon jumping off and just *splat*
shadowsa2b No, I literally can't find it. I thought I left it in the case, but....It's not there. Maybe my family stole it. If they did, I'LL FUCKING KILL THEM.
So weird watching this with the HD remaster lol. I was able to get 32 cuts first time because of the stick controls hahaha. Never got around to watching this LP because I got frustrated with SS in 2011. But now I'm gonna watch along with me playing:)
I honestly love flying in Skyward Sword. I'm not really into flying fast, I just like lazily flying around, flapping every now and again, nose diving here and there, just enjoying the smooth control.
Dude when I was young I use to watch your videos and I still check out your dude. I'm so glad that your still posting videos you'll alway watch your videos no matter what. Also keep on gaming.
Bamboo Island theme is my favorite tune of the whole game, I even have it on my laptop and cell phone. Not only do I love japanese folk music (like in Mystical Ninja and Kat & Ana's parts of WarioWare, particularly in Smooth Moves) but it is very relaxing, calm, relief you of stress, it would be great music to use not only in sushi shops that serves green tea but also for spas, Qui Gong, Yoga and meditation classes.
I find it interesting that you skimmed over the "automatically repair" function of the potion+ it is INCREDIBLY helpful if you are having a tough time with a boss and your shield keeps breaking. It can turn the tide of war when you regain your shield and heal at a critical failure.
Huh. Turns out I missed some things in my playthrough. Dangit. Hey, Chugga, if I choose to go back to Skyloft via save point, will I be able to get back to those woods(forgot the name) via some kind of fast travel?
1:35 His forehead is so vast and wide that he could be a character on Code Lyoko. Well, it might not have been spent going around Skyloft but Chuggaa did spend the first several minutes doing other things before advancing the plot so do I win my bet from the previous episode? What did they expect to happen when there is both money and health sitting on top of the chandelier? Seriously, those two things are the most coveted things in the world so who would be able to resist the temptation? I love that the owner's name is *Pumm* and that his daughter's name is *Kina*. Oh, Nintendo. Damn. I underestimated the sidequesting instinct of Chuggaa. He didn't just spend the first several minutes but rather the entire episode. Time to go to the surface. I wonder how Link will be treated in Severnaya (if you get that incredibly obscure reference to an incredibly awesome game, I love you in a completely non-romantic but instead platonic way).
They really should have made it so eventually further in the game you could fly at night by having to do for example maybe a tough flying race challenge. The sky at night would have new enemies, new places to explore, more missions etc.....come on Nintendo!!!
that was just a suggestion, maybe then you could fly at night after getting to a certain point later in the game no challenge needed again it would be worth it I think as I said it will unlock new places to explore, new missions
Konradix05 no, if people have motion control problems, then it's their fault, not the game's. The motion controls work just fine and Emile is doing a good job of proving that so far in his let's play, even up to the later episodes.
There's something about flying aimlessly in the sky or sailing on the sea that's just so relaxing to me. Kinda reminds me of when I went on family trips and I'd look out the window to see the countryside passing by. Guess that's why I'm more forgiving of that flaw in SS and WW.
I am loving this so far! This was one of the games I didn't manage to make it very far, so it's great to watch someone else play it. I only wish these episodes were 40 minutes long :(
Tip for the Bamboo game: NEVER USE SPIN ATTACKS. They do less cuts than you could do with 5 sword swings, and it moves the bamboo further away, making it harder to cut it all. Plus, they eat up your stamina. Also, you can find what you need on www.zeldadungeon.net/Zelda14-skyward-sword-pieces-of-heart.php Link Deaths/Falls: 3 Bad Puns: 2 Pots/Barrels Smashed: 11
The Wily Wimpod No, he used to have graphics within the video saying like "Previous, Playlist Next" that you could click at the beginning. He hasn't done that for some time. And now he no longer does the Heart Container guides, bottles, etc.
What do you call a squash with warts? A LUMP-kin! Ha, yay for getting the Lumpy Pumpkin introduced early on, as well as Strich's hangout during the day. I love the music for the Lumpy Pumpkin.
I personally love the beginning shield that you get in each game the Ordon shield and the second form of the skyloft shield respectively are my favorites: the Ordain/ Ordon shield (in all it's forms) is my favorite. I love the Ordon goat head on the shield as that shield (and the game it's from) was my first EVER shield, the skyloft/ sky shield in it's second form the skyloft/ sky shield metal is my favorite of skyward sword because (just like the Ordain/Ordon shield) it actually looks like a usable shield! Unlike in my opinion the wooden sky shield because if you pause at 19:41 you can clearly see where the strap and grip were nailed/ stapled in but with the sky shield metal no such thing.
i never need to use the boosts for speed, you simply gain some altitude and go into a dive to start up your speed then gently bring back the angle of the dive and you will be at a faster speed for a longer distance. its really simple and i was honestly surprised at your hatred for the flying in this game. still lovin the series so far, keep it up Chugga!
I love how you give Peater 10 Rupees to play his minigame because he needs to "put food on his table", but then gives you 30 Rupees. He gives other prizes so he doesn't really need to give up money that he needs when he has other prize options.
7:10 It is actually possible to get 28 cuts in the bamboo minigame this early on. You just need to not be wild when swinging the Wii Remote and keep the bamboo within the sword's range.
-Zelda falls into an unknown doom
-Link goes and messes with people at a restaurant
I know. I always go to the forest because it's quick to the action and makes sense story wise.
Wilfred Cthulu lel XD
Well, with Majora's Mask, the issue isn't THAT pressing for Link. He can just turn back time. He just doesn't want everyone else stuck in a loop.
"Why would you do that?!" Dude, you have a piece of heart on your chandelier. You should be glad someone is getting that partial organ off of there!
I can't wait for his batteries to get low.
Your profile picture perfectly captures the expression I imagined reading your comment.
Never happened to me
Colby Heaton You've commented that on every video, haven't you?
EPISODE 15 OR 18 I CANT REMEMBER WHICH
I can't get over the fact that the characters in this game just yolo off cliffs HOPING that their bird is going to catch them.
Well, the characters can sense their birds in the sky. In part one Link didn't want to jump because he didn't sensed his bird in the air. So, they know that their bird is going to catch them.
Their birds are a big part of their lives so they catch them every time guaranteed

Chef Jeff Don't you hate it when people can't take a joke without being serious or "correct"
"Fly through rings" Wow, I bet Jon loves this game already.
Wrong Jon
A don't even get me started on the gold pants.
Yeah it's a reference to ProtonJon
to save zelda, Link must fly through the rings
The Wily Wimpod Linkman 64
When you put rupees AND a piece of heart on your chandelier, you're just asking for trouble.
I believe that's it's totally illegal to place Rupees and a Piece of Heart dangling on a chandelier like that in this game. So you'll get to the surface in about 17 videos right?
Dealwithitdog Ha so true!
Dealwithitdog what's the surface
nnnnnnnnnnnooooooooooooooooooooo
Dealwithitdog There is no surface. :O
I don't get it
I saw the title and now I feel special
lol

LMAO!!
XD
LMFAO
I can't wait until Chugga's worst enemyshows up....
THE BATTERY METER!
I encountered that when I started the game over, but I have never gotten the Fi message.
1:35 His forehead is bigger than my future.
Have you heard of Jacksfilms? You should reuse that comment on one of his videos!
Redd Goat
And almost as sparse as my list of things I like about myself
...no seriously, I have a problem
His forehead is almost big enough to let him be a character on "Code: Lyoko".
ALMOST.
PCachu YESSSSS
We see more surface on his forehead than the actual surface of the world.
About people complaining about the lack of progress:

Oh I see how it is
Western music is okay in the Lumpy Pumpkin but not in Eterna City!
Still butthurt about that, I love that theme in Platinum -w-
Agreed
Wolframium
That's because the Lumpy pumpkin is supposed to be like a Saloon, of course it's gonna have Western music!

"Fishing is a fun mini game" is the funniest chugga joke I've heard
After watching episode 49 of his majoras mask LP you realize the joke comes true
AND CHARGE YOUR WII MOTE
I like how Eagus just drinks from Link's bottle without any questions of where it's been!
Lemme tell y'all it feels great to be actively watching Chugga's videos as they come out for the first time in years. :D And they're still great
i just now, after two years, realized that the bullies are all named after birds
groose = goose/grouse
stritch = ostrich
cawlin = macaw + colin
What are you talking about? Of course there's a demon in Skyloft! You saw that cat!

I need to be fast to be helpful.
Its people like you i respect. good day good sir
Lord Tullus 9 Good job
I give you respect for that.
Is he not aware that bamboo grows stupidly fast, like it grows like 5-8 feet a day, I mean it's crazy
If you jab the Wii mote forward rapidly, you can usually get anywhere from 25-35 cuts easily

18:10 so you said that guy's name was Pumm...... have you noticed his daughter is named Kina? so....... Pumm and Kina!!!! PUMMKINA!!!!!!!!!!
lol
Man, this game is just so beautiful! I guess today we go to the Lumpy Pumpkin and get bugged by Stritch for a few seconds!
Honestly, I prefer the Sky over TP's Hyrule Field. Even if it is emptier than TP's over world, it feels grander than TPs segmented field due to being one huge area
It's a floating island. Floating islands are cool. Lol sorry saw an opportunity for a Doctor who reference and couldn't keep it in.
Emile, I want you to know something, you are my favorite youtuber, and I will always watch your videos
I've never actually played Skyward Sword or had any particular interest in it, but Emile, you do an awesome job of making these fun an entertaining :D
Sup my fellow mothertruckers!? How're yall doing today? Anyway, today's question is...what is...your number one chuggaconroy ship? (Includes charectar's he's played/made)
I;m doing good and idk
chuggette
Smile-wide Studios chugga x Daisy also chugga x wood
Chugga x Melia
I'd say mine is Chugga X Goldie (the gold greenie that gave him a nosebleed)
I never thought of swooping at the ground and just letting Link splat on the ground like that XD That is way too funny! I love how the beautiful flight music stopped upon jumping off and just *splat*
You believe me, right? There's a demon here in Skyloft!

And how much do I want to bet you're the angel sent to stop it?
The lumpy pumpkin has one of my favorite songs in the game, also the music makes flying seem triumphant ( makes flying 10x better).
I am bird man hear my cry : link whistles.

Hi Chuggaaconroy watched you since earth bound and I'm a huge fan just wanted to say keep up the good work
I'm sure he will. We all like Chuggaaconroy.
yup true don't know why I'm worried chugga will always be chugga
This LP is already amazing. Thanks Chugga. Skyward sword has been sitting on my shelf for months and your making me want to pick it up again!
I loved flying around in the game lol
your comment is made better when also looking at your gleeful avatar
I also like flying, but I can't find the damn game...
+Lord Tullus 9 its IN THE BATHROOM
shadowsa2b No, I literally can't find it. I thought I left it in the case, but....It's not there. Maybe my family stole it. If they did, I'LL FUCKING KILL THEM.
*Lord Tullus 9 [Puffy Sprinkles] Same.
So weird watching this with the HD remaster lol. I was able to get 32 cuts first time because of the stick controls hahaha. Never got around to watching this LP because I got frustrated with SS in 2011. But now I'm gonna watch along with me playing:)
Yessss this lets play is so great
Piedph Games lol not even first u suk
Meh. It took him 5 episodes to get to some real action.
I honestly love flying in Skyward Sword. I'm not really into flying fast, I just like lazily flying around, flapping every now and again, nose diving here and there, just enjoying the smooth control.
*insert obligatory notification joke here*
Dude when I was young I use to watch your videos and I still check out your dude. I'm so glad that your still posting videos you'll alway watch your videos no matter what. Also keep on gaming.
Crap! Early again but my battery is low!
The Bisharp Bishop

The Bisharp Bishop MASTER!!!!! YOUR BATTERIES ARE LOW!!!!
I WILL KEEP WARNING YOU SO YOU DON'T FORGET THAT YOUR BATTERIES ARE LOW!
MASTER, YOUR BATTERIES ARE LOW.
Y O U R B A T T E R I E S A R E L O W .
I've always remembered to check my batteries before playing games.
I love this game
I find it interesting that you skimmed over the "automatically repair" function of the potion+ it is INCREDIBLY helpful if you are having a tough time with a boss and your shield keeps breaking. It can turn the tide of war when you regain your shield and heal at a critical failure.
Huh. Turns out I missed some things in my playthrough. Dangit.
Hey, Chugga, if I choose to go back to Skyloft via save point, will I be able to get back to those woods(forgot the name) via some kind of fast travel?
Yes, you can return to any bird statue you've found on the surface.
Thank you.
Tough flying race? Are you trying to make people hate the controls? :P
that was just a suggestion, maybe then you could fly at night after getting to a certain point later in the game no challenge needed again it would be worth it I think as I said it will unlock new places to explore, new missions
Konradix05 no, if people have motion control problems, then it's their fault, not the game's. The motion controls work just fine and Emile is doing a good job of proving that so far in his let's play, even up to the later episodes.
The music in Bamboo Island always reminded me a bit of one song in Super Paper Mario too {Soft Light? I think it was?} it's just lovely
BAMBOOZLED AGAIN!
There's something about flying aimlessly in the sky or sailing on the sea that's just so relaxing to me. Kinda reminds me of when I went on family trips and I'd look out the window to see the countryside passing by. Guess that's why I'm more forgiving of that flaw in SS and WW.
Who else always excitedly waits for him to publish another video?
I love the music in bamboo island too! glad to hear I'm not the only one 😄
So in this episode it's pretty much confirmed that Chuggaa doesn't like Fi that much which kinda sucks since I really like Fi :(
I like her too. At times she can be annoying, but she grew on me and I GOT OVER IT LIKE *SOOO MANY OTHERS DO*.
At least she’s not as bad as Navi.
"HEY! LISTEN! There is a 90.8% chance that this information is highly pertinent to your current situation." -NavFi
:P
his forehead is so vast and wide that you can land a loftwing on it, and cue the fi trollface when you tried to get that red rupee xD
Was Chuggaa saying "herpes"?
No, I don't think he was saying, or mentioning "herpes." It sounded like he was saying "heart piece" as if he was saying "harpies" in this episode.
I am loving this so far! This was one of the games I didn't manage to make it very far, so it's great to watch someone else play it. I only wish these episodes were 40 minutes long :(
Any reason why there isn't a heartpiece counter and an extra comment on where to find them? I've always found em quite usefull myself
Tip for the Bamboo game: NEVER USE SPIN ATTACKS. They do less cuts than you could do with 5 sword swings, and it moves the bamboo further away, making it harder to cut it all. Plus, they eat up your stamina.
Also, you can find what you need on www.zeldadungeon.net/Zelda14-skyward-sword-pieces-of-heart.php
Link Deaths/Falls: 3
Bad Puns: 2
Pots/Barrels Smashed: 11
Samabee chugga must be getting lazy. There's no episode select at the beginning of each episode either anymore
YOU CANT SELECT EPISODES, BLAME FCKING RUclips NOT CHUGGAA
The Wily Wimpod No, he used to have graphics within the video saying like "Previous, Playlist Next" that you could click at the beginning. He hasn't done that for some time. And now he no longer does the Heart Container guides, bottles, etc.
***** the guides idk about but RUclips doesnt allow annotations and end cards
I love watching you play through games Chuggaa. It makes me appreciate the games more!
I'm on time
sure.
What do you call a squash with warts? A LUMP-kin! Ha, yay for getting the Lumpy Pumpkin introduced early on, as well as Strich's hangout during the day. I love the music for the Lumpy Pumpkin.
10:10 herpes herpes herpes
Thanks Chuggaconroy for doing Skyward Sword! Watching you do this makes me want to play the game again.
Bamboozler 14 mk1
Splatoon references! Yay!
NOTIFICATION SQUAD WHERE U AT?
no....
i love that bamboo cutting minigame i always go and play it and i love to fly really high and skydive onto the islands lol
First!
you tied 1st with 2 others
i never need to use the boosts for speed, you simply gain some altitude and go into a dive to start up your speed then gently bring back the angle of the dive and you will be at a faster speed for a longer distance. its really simple and i was honestly surprised at your hatred for the flying in this game. still lovin the series so far, keep it up Chugga!
I love your sense of humor.
It's amazing.
I love how you give Peater 10 Rupees to play his minigame because he needs to "put food on his table", but then gives you 30 Rupees. He gives other prizes so he doesn't really need to give up money that he needs when he has other prize options.
I feel like this'll definitely hit 100 episodes in this lp. 5 ad not even on the surface yet. Whew.
That Bamboo mini game might not be the hardest mini game ever. But dang does it feel good to slice all of that bamboo down like a freaking ninja.
Watching this series again has me very excited for the HD remake
7:10
It is actually possible to get 28 cuts in the bamboo minigame this early on. You just need to not be wild when swinging the Wii Remote and keep the bamboo within the sword's range.
