I've got the same wish.. My wife likes a lot of metal stuff, especially Trivium. Unfortunately she doesn't like the harder stuff. I would love to have someone to talk about all these songs oder bands.. No one I know is into metal. When I was in school I had a lot of friend who listened to metal but after all these years they are not more than some dudes I knew nearly 20 years ago.. It's a shame..

Every track off this album is a fucking banger. I personally think it's their magnum opus, a culmination of all the things they have learned as musicians through the years and the quality of Self Titled.
With better production, not knocking self titleds production though. The lower fi was a killer aesthetic at that point in their career

For me 90% of the album is repetitive and somewhat boring, although the production is really good but for me It doesn’t transmit the energy their first 2 albums did. But that’s my opinion.
I was fortunate enough to attend Slipknot at the Iowa State Fair last night. The energy was absolutely amazing! Had goosebumps the whole show. Nothing like being a part of a hometown show!

Man, this, and critical Darling are absolutely my favorite songs on this album, and as someone who's been listening to Slipknot since I was 10 years old (2003) they are definitely amongst my all time favorite songs as well. Literally gives me chills from nostalgia

This is their best album. I’m not gonna say other than IOWA because it’s just so different. There’s always a special place in my heart for every previous album because of where I was in my life as a kid, but this album is so well put together and so mature. Everything seemed to be perfectly calculated and it packs such a heavy punch while still being extremely melodic. If this is their last album, this was the best ending to a long and amazing career

What I LOVE about Slipknot is that their music has ALWAYS been a rollercoaster of emotions and sounds blended together to bring out some strange but heavy feeling. They definitely changed the way I listen to music. Pretty sure everyone else can say the same

Great reaction. This is my 2nd favorite song after Solway Firth. I know it's crazy to say but these verses in this may be my favorite of any Slipknot song. And that's crazy because Spit It Out was really good. And so was Disasterpiece. Love this band.

Trevor Kerkes yeah they are all good but I prefer the new album because it’s like a mixture of all the other albums a little bit I do like those albums as well tho there is nothing by Slipknot I hate.
I personally think Iowa is the best with this second. Not huge on the self titled. I respect it but as I’ve gotten older, I just don’t like the production or lyrics. But maybe I’m not a true maggot. I just think WANYK is a brilliant record.

WANYK isn’t supposed to be Iowa Heavy. Corey said that, but others like Jim in a recent interview have cleared up that u can’t replicate it or even get heavier than Iowa since their mentality and situations always change.
Commimg from a drummer standpoint this song is fuckin amazing. Clown hits the same symbal throughout the entire song, but it hits different during the chorus because of the high point put in by chorus.

It’s amazing writing and this entire song hits home for me. If you read the lyrics to majority of the songs he sings of abuse, something I believe he suffered through his last marriage. And it just hits because I relate to it so much.

@@AlexHefner Dude, you guys should check Prayer Of The Refugee by Rise Against. One of the most iconic hardcore punk songs of the 2000s. The song has so much energy and agression with though provoking lyrics. Definitely worth checking out. And if you like it, they have plenty of other awesome songs. Despite how popular they are, no one ever seems to react to them. I'd really like to see some reactions.
