  • Delivering Aid & Hope After Hurricane Helene | Prepping & Leadership in Action
In the wake of Hurricane Helene, my crew and I spent hours navigating the wreckage, encountering impassable roads and devastated communities. What we found was far worse than we imagined-locals in despair, struggling to rebuild. Our focus was on delivering essential supplies we had prepped for just this kind of emergency, offering a small but important lifeline to those in need. While logistics were far from perfect, we utilized our leadership skills to help coordinate and ensure aid reached as many people as possible.
It was a humbling experience, and we’re reminded once again of the importance of being prepared, not just for ourselves, but to help others when disaster strikes.

Republican or democrat, I don’t care! Suits need to stay in the office and out of the way. Don’t you agree? What can be done differently in future disasters to prevent the loss of life, even when emergency alerts come with only a few hours’ notice?
If you want to help and send supplies you can email or message me on instagram. You can also donate here. No donation too small:

No, I don’t agree. Half the people asked were bitching because Biden “wasn’t there”, and the rest of you were bitching because he was. You can’t have it both ways. It has historically been a US President’s job to survey disaster areas when issuing FEMA response has it not?
There has been so much misinformation coming from the disaster areas. Some report FEMA isn’t there, others report FEMA is there; some report threats of being arrested for helping, others deny that; some report DJT was there donating, others say he wasn’t. It’s incredibly frustrating to those also wanting to help because not only is the misinformation coming out of WNC rampant, but also people from the area are incredibly hostile to people online asking what they can do to help.

Yeah zero complaints that Trump was there right after the storm! The Biden administration waited for an ok as the person speaking said "At this point it's just people stranded. " Well , that wasn't the case when trump came in.
I'm with ya.I don't think that any of them dem or rep should have been there. The reality is that if the president hadn't shown up there , it might have made people feel like they didn't care and those people should feel confident that we are definitely looking out for them.
Millions of dollars was allocated even before the hurricane hit.
Don't listen to Fox News, take an honest.Look at how trump responded to disasters. He's not someone I would want to have.

And then the drone footage started coming in from NC.👀👀👀👀 There are NO wORDS. I started calculating time based on how long it would take for me to cut ONE of those trees with a chainsa..in my youth. Then trying to calculate how many chainsaws, and how many people...????? Not to mention how many pieces of land moving equipment. Reestablishing roads, replacing power lines AND poles to put them back on, replacing bridges. Getting the cars and trailers pulled out....that is a HUGE job. I feel so sorry for the town of lake lure. The actions of the assistant fire chief are reprehensible. He threatened a helicopter pilot with arrest if he continued rescue operations. Meanwhile he was accomplishing nothing in terms of rescuing people out of his reach. The man the helicopter pilot was forced, under threat of arrest, to abandon, eventually scaled down the mountain without the assistant fire chiefs help, and low in behold at the bottom of the mountain across the raging River was the team that threatened to arrest the pilot who could have returned him to safety in three minutes. Instead of a safe helicopter ride the experts under the command of the assistant fire chief threw a rope across the river and pulled him to the other side. Imagine... The lake lure town manager defended his actions. She should be removed from office and the assistant fire chief immediately fired. Poor leadership.

A town meeting was called in Chimney Rock and they were told to vacate immediately before they bulldozed the remaining structures and bodies.
Whatever number of deaths and missing you hear you can rest assured it's way lower than the actual number.
I live about 100 yards away and 20 feet above the Tuckaseegee river in Cullowhee NC, water got within 4 feet of my porch.

Be careful out there. The Appalachian Mountains are stabilized because of the forest - the tree roots. The soil on these steep slopes is held in place by the deep roots of these trees. This event wiped out so many trees. That protection is gone in these areas.

    • @ninajager.-.-
      @ninajager.-.- 20 минут назад

I hope the learning curve includes the reasons why natural desasters happen actually...more often....worse...more violent...all over the world.
Wildfires in Australia 2019/20 , Europe in 2022, Canada in 2023 in a extent never before
Floods from heavy rain in Europe 2002, 2021, 2024 , Now in the US and in Japan
Heat waves like in India, China and Southeurope in 2023 and 2024
In South Africa it snowed recently about 6-7 ft ....that is unusual either...
Scientists warn that extreme weathers like heat waves, drough, heavy rain, violent storms are are becoming more common, ...the new normal...
But everybody lives on as before and wonders how this could have happened. And blames the governement....for doing too much ( trying to mitigate or stop climate change)...for doing too little (Because the economy has been sleeping and consumers are complaining that things are becoming more expensive).
But, the costs of natural desasters all over the world are much higher than preparing and change.
Not only the costs for insurence....rebuilding all the damage ( infrastructure, homes, shops, etc.)...migration was and is not only because of political issues and wars... there are regions where life will be impossible in the future because of the heat, droughts or a rising sea level.
I hope that the learning curve results in practical considerations and solutions that are implemented....and not only youtube comments and confused accusations against “the others”.
In a democracy and a democratic electoral process the governement is, what the most of ther voters choose.
But as everybody impacted by such a wide spread ( more than 4 states with i dont know how much sqaremiles) natural desaster is... overwhelmed...the governement is also. I Think Helene was too much in too big a region...even for your governement.
And there might be poeple not able to take care of themselves...the have to depend on governement...
Takin care should not only be for "ourselves"...that is pore egoism and thunnel thinking.
Rethink, tackle and look for long-term solutions not only for your own little bubble...a bubble can pop!

I’m sure wasting resources flying expensive tax-layer funded aircraft over disaster zones while innocent lives hanging on for dear life is not such a project either. So what would be one of these projects that only this fantastical government savior complex are the rest of us enlightened individuals to look towards?

God bless you for reporting on this and going there to help all you can. I’m in Montana, and it’s not even being covered on the news!! I’m so upset over this! Everyone I know around here think there’s about 86 dead, and 200 missing. Total! Out of the entire hurricane the main stream news is saying this. I have to think there’s many thousands dead when entire towns are completely gone!
May God be with you all 😞🙏🏻

Real non scripted news like offgrid desert farming with paul and adrienne, this channel on three, and on tik tok independents news are seeing 10000 to 20000 people or more gone and much more of the 95000 folks who lived in Ashville NC alone. This is what bastards the top fake news stations truly are

I live here and we are now able to start communicating some. We have relatives in another state and they said the news outlets are not truly telling how catastrophic this has been. I truly believe we will have thousands lost. We have countless areas completely gone. I wish more would realize like you have. Thank you

Bacon drop special operations into a forest with enemy fire, but they can't draw pallets of water with a military helicopter that can hold a tank. Come on what's going on.

Lost my house to a fire. It's a helpless feeling. Made worse by how many others lost their's as well - all due to an arsonist.
    And on Mother's day.
I cant even imagine a disaster of this volume that this weather caused.
There is no fixing this quickly, if ever.
Prayers to all affected, and blessing to all who are helping!
