Love your stuff u need to come to hopkinsville Kentucky we got trains here 24 hours a day almost one after another and we got an old train station u might like to see in downtown hopkinsville
I believe that IORY loco 5016 is an 1 of 5 SD50s locos that were operated by Hamersley Iron in the North West of Western Australia on its iron ore railways operation. The locos were built by Clyde engineering under licence to EMD at their now closed factory at Rosewater in South Australia in the 1980s. They were sold in the 90s after HI replace it's old fleet of mainly Alco locos for new Dash9-44-CW from GE. I was a Driver at HI for 39 years and did many kms on them, nice to see them still in operation.
A good action video. 71 auto racks. Nice to see good looking CIND motion power instead the shabby blue and black units. It would be great to watch auto racks being loaded.
Very COOL CSX Autorack train JT! I counted 71 auto rack cars, the 33rd with Mickey Mouse spray painted on it, AWESOME! The CIND EMDS are really NICE to! Great view of the CIND EMDs pulling the auto rack cars down the track! Thanks for sharing JT!
We've still got some GP38-2 & 3s, as well as GP40-2 & 3-s, CSX uses here in Plymouth, Michigan on yard work & locals. All the other power like GP-30'S and 35's are long gone now, except for a GP-40/30 slug set, i see occasionally. Joe
Thank you for documenting this transfer of auto racks from CSX to the Central Railroad of Indiana, Jaw Tooth. This was a very interesting video to watch. I found this transfer to be very interesting. The CSX local was a great addition to the main theme of the transfer of the auto racks between the two raIlroads.
Back in the day when car model changes were a really big deal, there were no side panels on the car carriers. We liked to look for the new models before they got to the dealers. Not train spotting, but car spotting.

Having lived next to the track of a few railroads, never witnessed the hand off of railcars between railroads. Thank you, was interesting. Some of the tagging art is quite talented.
Your line of empty auto racks triggered memories of when the NY Central first started runnin the old-style open auto racks. Thjs wluld have been back in the early 1960's, and they brought long trainloads of new cars east along the Chicago Line, AKA the Water Level Route. My brother and I watched them along the Mohawk River in Ilion, NY or Herkimer, NY. The railroads had to start using the covered racks early on because of idiots who would throw rocks or splash chemicals (like brake fluid) on the autos. Paul & I were .like 10 & 12 years old at the time. Old memories for sure! What was fun was the times we would spot someone jumping a ride, and catching a nap in the new cars. Hobo rails in style, no?
Howdy from the Pacific Northwest, just stumbled onto your video and am enjoying it, even if, it is on the other the coast from me. I enjoy watching the trains going by here on the UP & BNSF lines, Amtrack, then the local roads such as CORP (Central Oregon & Pacific) out of Roseburg, OR, COP - City of Prineville, no engines just the rare car or two. Then there is the railroad that the University of Oregon (UO) adopted, the UO (Union Railroad of Oregon). We used to have a big SP hump yard in Eugene, OR, where there was two spots you could park and watch the train activity, that is until UP bought them out, now yard is just a few sidings, over the years UP has stripped most of the tracks out, leaving only a few where the crews can change, or stop for the night. That yard used to have these really nice cottages for the out of area train crews to stay in, to get some rest or to wait for a north bound train coming across the High Cascades. When UP bought SP, they really ruined the train watching in Eugene, can get some in down town JC where I now live, we have two sets of tracks that run through town, the main track that UP and AmTrack uses and the one that BNSF and the local line uses that runs down the middle of Holly Street. I can tell you a story about the line that used the Holly Street tracks from back in the 1970's if you are interested. //es//Yes, I Am An Old Lady, Who Loves To Watch Trains.

Hello again Mr Jaw Tooth - UK in the house. That was an interesting video, because I have noticed UP and Canadian Pacific wagons, especially autoracks, being pulled through La Grange by CSX locomotives. I realised that to get freight across somewhere as big as the USA would require it to travel with more than one operator and had wondered how they switched freight cars (I learned the USA term lol) from one company to another. BTW, is there to be a third video of street running in St Mary? "Keep the videos coming, son"!
Reading through some of the other comments for this video, I noticed "LA Grange" was mentioned several times. That reminded me of the ZZ Top song by that name. FYI, ZZ Top bass player Dusty Hill passed away July 28th.
