3 Locomotives Short Line Railroad Switching In Push Pull Mode, Industrial Railroad Spur In Ohio CCET

- Railway switching an industrial railroad spur in Ohio with 3 classic locomotives! This industrial railway lead serves 2 important customers for Cincinnati Eastern Railroad in Batavia, Ohio. One locomotive leads a long cut of boxcars with 2 more shoving on the rear at a railroad crossing at the entrance to the huge compound. Norfolk Southern Railroad use to work this spur when it was the Ford Motor Company. After Ford left it became Huhtamaki and also Mount Carmel Group. It is primarily served with boxcars, covered hopper cars and tank cars are sometimes seen here. This line is now served by Cincinnati Eastern Railroad CCET. First we see the train crossing Half Acre Road in Afton as it is leaving the yard. Next we see it from the other side of the tracks as it is entering the Huhtamaki and Mt Carmel Group tracks. After that we see the train as it is working Mt Carmel Group first and then switching over to the track on the right that leads to Huhtamaki. Today the spur is very busy as it is worked several times a week. The first locomotive is a General Electric B36-7 and the other two are both EMD GP15-1 units that are new to the company. This is only my fifth time to show the red units. The most interesting thing about this video is seeing 3 locomotives on the same train here and in the Top And Tail as they say in the UK. If you like the Cincinnati Eastern Railroad ( CCET ) and would like to see more of them, you are in luck son! I started a FaceBook group dedicated to this railroad that is called Cincinnati Eastern Railroad Fans. Check it out and join today! Other than my JawTooth page it is about the only place that you will find me on Facebook. I post pictures on there of CCET, answer any questions and a lot of other members also post things about CCET to that group. Like all of my accounts it is family friendly with no controversy.
Back to this video. Trains operate on 160.860 and rarely ever use an EOT. Trains normally operate Monday through Friday during regular business hours although they can operate any time that a customer needs a switch. CCET leases 69+ route miles of track from Norfolk Southern and has miles of sidings and storage tracks.
I filmed this train on Saturday, September 13, 2021. Here is a link to my FaceBook group that I started for it called Cincinnati Eastern Railroad Fans! / cincinnatieasternrailroad
Thanks for watching!
Please thumbs up and watch another JawTooth video to help my channel. The views help keep me on the road. I met up with Hobo Shoestring in Britt, Iowa at the Hobo Convention. That was an epic adventure! I want to go back next year to see Shoestring win. Check out my videos of the hobo king competition and the traction railroad trains that I filmed in Mason City, Iowa.
Check out my steam train playlist for some really cool videos including the Big Boy! I also have other railroad videos of all types including short lines, street runners and cabooses in action. Please watch another video to help support my channel:

great video
Really like the red and black paint scheme on the loco.
Yea 5957 could use some new paint.
They are great! Fresh from the shop they look like!
Red and black, love it, my high school colors. Nyack HS, Nyack NY.
Yeah really like a fresh coat of paint to look at, red & black looks choice.👍👍😎
Yes, looks great! 😀 The horn sounds a bit too 'friendly' to me, though 😄
Roll that beautiful bean footage
It’s great to see you back on the CCET. Enjoy all your work, but this is where you began your reporting. Nice work!
Jaw Tooth thanks for another video. I sure miss the trains in America 🇺🇸. Here in Germany they are small and electronic a bit boring.
Amazing videos jaw tooth keep up the good work
Ah, that surprised me. I thought the GP15s were to replace the B36’s. Good show there, son Wooo!
Watching the switching ops is my favorite. Thanks JT.
One of the first things I do in the morning is grab a cup of coffee and watch some "live action and awesome" train videos. Thank you and enjoy your day Mr. Jawtooth!
I go to the bathroom then get a cup of coffee an go check my cats
@@Mike-su8si I just go in the litter box to save time while I check my cats. 🤣🤣🐈
Good one Dennis B.😹😸
Love the Red & Black paint scheme on those Two Loco's
Jaw Tooth, may I suggest (professionally) a video of CCET interchanging with their class 1 host railroad. I don't recall you ever did one. Love your videos. Love the "new to them" locomotives and paint sheme.
Great video jt
looks like 1657 needs the air intake cleaned of leaves just a little
Why do they make that hissing sound?
I saw that, it also need's the trees removed from around the place they park it.
The Short Line Railroads take care of their Customers NO matter how Big or how Small. Thanks!👍
You got that right!
Yes I no.
great video
LOVE seeing a Maine Central boxcar. That railroad has been gone for YEARS !!!!
Not as long as the Bangor and Aroostook
Those "new" units almost got the ZZ Top stripe. 🙃
amazing Brian i love this catch and the GP -15sounds great . I love when they rev up . :-D
Same here!
Awesome video 🇺🇸👍😎
Awesome paint job on those trains! Thanks JT!
Thank you too!
Maine Central boxcar is still with the double CC. I've seen Wisconsin Central boxcars in my neck of the woods, but not a Maine Central. Good catch. Add that to your NYC coiled steel train yesterday [CSX].
Both those cars were on the last Half Acre road video. Might have retired to southern Ohio!
That old B36 has an awesome sounding horn! And those 2 new GP15's are sharp looking and sound good too.
a big portion of CSX engines have horns that sound like that
Old CSX locomotive. Still see those old girls kicking around.
i wonder if a short line has a csx b36 that wasnt repainted
If the Maine Central box full of blueberries and the Wisconsin Central box full of cheese got together, that could be delicious! I must be hungry.
Yom, yom, yom!
Great catch with the short line and some switch work. I caught an interesting thing at 6:40 where it looks like the air intake screen got some leaves caught in it :) Heck both have some leaves - it is almost fall so it may be decoration :) Great video and great weather!
You really should get a drone to show what is actually happening in the yard. Great video
That would be awesome, would that require permits to show or fly over the properties?
I'm surprised he hadn't purchased one already. Being able to see what's happening behind the bushes would really add value to these types of videos.
That red and black paint job on the locos is sure eye catching.
Checking out "Rural Ohio" with "Mr Tooth"
You always deserve a thumbs up Jaw Tooth, ty again👍🏼
Cool video my friend!!
Cool train video.
WOW... Maine Central car... Haven't seen one in years..
Good morning sir! Have a blessed day!
Maine Central box car. Pretty cool.
Great video Jawtooth! Great to see that old GE still working again! Looks like they finally got the crossing gates straightened out there. Great video! Those EMD's are beautiful! Thanks for sharing!
The great irony of CCET is that the two dash-7s are actually the newest locomotives on the line! They're so beat-up that they look like the oldest.
@@beeble2003 y
Really like your videos, wondering how you find rail viewing locations ? I am recently retired (in NE Ohio) and would like to do the same. Any guidance greatly appreciated ! Thanks
I believe he scouts places out on Google maps at first, and then uses a scanner to know when the trains are coming. And now that he's a big RUclips star, he gets a lot of tips in comments. 😉 Are you going to post videos for us, too?
@@beeble2003 I hope to be able to add a few videos.... pretty much a beginner at this (video) and have been a train watcher for years in my home area
Good shortlining day, chessie sleep in or did she not take her call? 👍
This place is true rail road said . Move and noise is very good . Thank you!
Yes, thanks
Great video. Love the gp15s. Good sounds
Thanks!
And jaw tooth those local motives on the end got power for pulling or pushing ❤😊
When locomotive is idling what is those clicking sound..
It's the "spitter" valves that remove condensed water from the compressed air system. They open periodically to blow out any water that's collected at the low points of the system.
Looks like it's the same crossing where that boat trailer had ripped off one of the barrier arms in a recent video 😀
Coffee an Jawtooth . Good content always.
Awesome video Jawtooth, love the Maine central boxcar.
Nice sounding locomotives.
5857 is kinda smoky. Almost like Cass.
Sharp looking engine's.
Once again a job well done A+ across-the-board you keep up the good work and also remember to be safe We're All in This Together God bless you
Great video great trains thanks mate. Chris from England
Thank you very much!
I agree with you Jaw, the sound from the gp15-1 is very nice! Great video ;)
Hello from the UK. Love it! More top and tail. New shiny locomotives and your old friend no 5857. Just hope that our old friend black loco 2414 is still in use and has not been replaced by these new locos!!! BTW, I am looking forward to these new videos especially the one featuring Big Boy.
PAPAJERTOOF, WORLDS GREATEST PAPA
Yes, thanks son!
.... and, also curious what radio you use to monitor the rail channels. Thanks
That Guilford boxcar is a ways from home!
Something about switching I just love, nice to hear the radio chatter to add to the action! You KNOW how to film this stuff, Brian =CLASS ACT
Paint scheme on the GP-15's is really cool! Enjoy watching the switching moves also! Cool video, BE SAFE!
Thanks! Will do!
Cool video! Did you see the guy through the fence operating the switch?
Love the Live Action 👍🏼
Nice MEC!
Love switching.
Still like the paint striping on those two units.
Take care and safe travels.
It is nice that they have finally painted their equipment. May they were "shamed" into it by appearing in so many of JT's videos? 😚
A big improvement to the professional image of the CCET, now if they'd just paint that raggedy-looking blue locomotive the same color scheme as the two black/red ones. Jawtooth, whatever became of the green B locomotive they had and you filmed a while back? I thought they were working on making it operational? It was raggedy looking too! LOL!
It’s still in Sardinia. Saw it Sunday
Bravooo! Great report! Thank you very much Mr. Jaw Tooth!😀👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
Thank you too!
The new paint has pizzazz.
I am new to the channel. Any footage of NW heritage? NW used to shake my great-grandmother's house in Virginia in the 70's !!
Thanks!!
136,600 total YT competitive railfanning foamer points awarded 👍
The B36 either needs a service, a new turbo or both !!! Man that's smoking like a trooper ! New gp's look the part -has the CCET moved into a new chapter we ask ????? Hope the mp15 hasn't had its last ride out I will be disappointed! Nice switching video on your famous subject the CCET!
Regards
Hey JT, I wonder , how many cans of paint does Wal Mart sell to those rolling stock painters ? How bout a nighttime video of graffiti masters at work ?
I have never seen anyone paint on them. They probably wouldn't let me film them doing that
Did anyone notice the boxcar with reporting marks, “UCRY”? Yeah, I’d cry, too, if someone spray painted graffiti on my a**! 🤣
Thank for that..
Glad to see you get back to the short line vids.
I was watching this vid ruclips.net/video/itemafGqgtU/видео.html yesterday and I never saw the B36-7 cor the first time. Now that "blockhead" is back!
Nice video jawtooth loved the live action trains seems like chessie is getting along with the cat well
Must be an EMD day Jawtooth😁.i caught 2 GP9's with a GP38-2 while I was working.Check it out son!Still watching🚂🇨🇦🇺🇲
Chessie and Brandi in for a swim! 🇺🇸😊👍
Beans looking good
Just 4 vehicles, 2 motors waiting, that road is off the beaten path for sure.
Great video Jaw. TFS
So new paint still looks wet. 2 beauties there. What is that saying.. "the squeaky wheel gets the grease? I see that doesn't always apply. No pun intended. ✖️🚂🛤️
*Your World Famous On The Ground Railfan Reporter; Mr. Jaw Tooth*
What is the Mt. Carmel group ? It also at the end when you were filming as driving over tracks it looked like a building was being constructed ??
Is it just me.... but I am noticing the all their engine's make a popping sound like a pressure relief valve popping? Seem to only hear that on Cincy engines. Is it just me?
Nice catch.
Appreciate what your doing for us rail fans👍🏻
Super Vidéo 😎👍 Excellente. Jaw . 😎👍LIKE.((👍495 ))happy Week , Gérard
I noticed that they have a AAR Id of IBCX Indiana Box Corporation. Are CCE and them related or are they leased units. No matter I like the paint scheme. Good video
Those locomotives look brand new. Or at least fairly new. Its not like the rail companies wash those locomotives often. Locomotives are work horses not show vehicles
You going back Thurmond and Paste doing the coal train coming out of the spur
Awesome locomotives and watching now and enjoying the video and 🚂🚂🚂👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍😎😄👌❤️ awesome Jaw Tooth
Many thanks!
I love your videos Jaw tooth keep up the good work buddy 👌👌👌👌👍🏻👍🏻
Always good to see your videos jawtooth I had the best idea for when I get my own car or truck I'm gonna put a bell and rig the regular horn to be a train horn to freak people in parking lots out
In American Flyer Maine Central, as far as I know, there is only a box car and hopper car. Very hard to find. I have the hopper only. Nice to see one on the prototype. Neat👍!
Must be frustrating to a farmer
Trying to get to his fields
Great video
I saw your other camera video, looks like several factories in there. Need service.
beans beans good for the heart, the more you eat the more you fart the more you fart the better you feel so have some beans for every meal
There goes that Wisconsin Central boxcar again @5:28.
Damn! Those 3 old engines pollute almost as much as old steam engines.
JawTooth for President 2024! 😂
That Guilford/Maine Central boxcar color scheme on the headend you wouldn't see much longer as their being sold to CSX if all goes well with the STB.
Those beans are looking great, seems like only yesterday they were being planted. Remember the field being tilled with the tractor.
Great to see you visiting AussieTrainDriver, what a small world it is.! Stay safe ! 😎👍👌😁
the GP15s have aside for the red nose IHB like scheme
Rofl @ top n tail thats what people in england call a '69' 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤩
