- The 'mockup' of the Transformers/GI JOE Crossover movie was shown and it left some people asking "WTF is that Logo?!" Scuba, Mikey, and I discussed it...here's our thoughts.

I'm willing to bet they made new logo(s) to avoid paying the people who made the earlier crossover designs.
Still though. They own them all. Just smash the correct logos together again in a new way 🤷🏻♂️
Perhaps 🤔 in Hasbro’s defense, maybe Cobra will start off as some type of company or PMC that initially works with the Autobots and Joes…. Then by the end of the movie it is revealed that Cobra/Deceptions are threat.
Maybe! That could work, too. I’m just trying to not be completely “they screwed it up!” kind of attitude about it.

Maybe Cobra found disabled Autobots and are using them / rebadges as Cobra badge.

I lost hope when they drop the a Real American Hero tag line from the first movie and made Rip Cord black, when the should have used Stalker instead.

I wonder if it showed an autobot logo that had a cobra fade into view behind it. "Cobra rising" per say

I would put cobra in Transformers like the way they did an Image Comics where they take over all the robots and turn them into their vehicles and eventually GI Joe would turn the Autobots back into good guys the only two would be like Bumblebee and Jazz they're normal

The "leaked by description mock-up" logo seems like it could have been "verified" if someone was describing it to someone else and that person describing it could say, "yep, that's it," I would think. So, that logo may be a thing.
It could be that simple put something out there to generate the social media buzz as well.
Speculation land ahead, no spoilers:
The possibilities are huge. Marky Mark opening a used car dealership selling fixed up Autobots who becomes screwed by the giant used car giant chain dealer business dude down the street (like in the '80's A-Team T.V. show....) who is also a huge back-pockets power donor to the government (like Boss Hogg runs Hazard, ya know....) and then...., well, Marky Mark isn't taking it anymore. He starts a pyramid scheme and makes more Autobots and forms an organization called Cobra with other locals who ain't gonna take it no more. They team up with some dudes on motorcycles from the everglades, calling themselves Dreadnoks to take it to the streets to take down the man and system. And then they make S.N.A.K.E. suits to fight the man. (this is how Marky Mark is able to sell those power suits later in Rise of Cobra to G.I.Joe, by the way.....since by Rise of Cobra Marky Mark is a rival to Destro..... but you don't see Marky Mark in Rise of Cobra because Destro wasn't about to be having that competition stuff..... I mean, you ALL know what he did to his cousin, Darklon, afterall.....)
Then the Autobots out in space detect all these Transformers energy signals and come to Earth to investigate and, you know, they fix the wiring in angry Marky Marks Cobra Autobots making them good sentient beings again. Then the Autobots give the G.I.Joe team, that was getting their butts kicked by evil Autobots and Cobra the entire time, some of those P.A.C./R.A.T.s. to start winning and protect Earth.
BUT THEN..., Bludgeon happens to pass by Earth and likes Marky Marks style because it goes with Bludgeons Metallikato like peanut butter and jelly. He reinforces Cobra with a new Funky Bunch of those later '80's Transformers Decepticon characters, like Submarauder and Finback, the ones you don't have in your toy collection (and don't want) for the movie toy line.

I am at loss. It seems like these companies are just throwing "things" at a wall to see what sticks. They don't even know what they are throwing. I lost all interest in the modern properties several years ago. I don't see this changing my mind.

I enjoy the old comics crossover stuff. I’m also enjoying the new Dark Energon comics tie-in stories. But…DiBonaventura?? Nooooo

You're probably right and that Cobra Autobot logo is a mistake but let's be honest, Hollywood could give two sh!ts about source material or the fans. Now Scuba's theory that it was on "porpoise" to generate buzz, gives way more credit and intelligence to what I believe they're capable of.
I totally agree with you. I was just trying to ‘Devil’s Advocate’ it cause damn, that’s a pretty big and obvious mistake.
I don’t think it’s a mistake because apparently multiple people at the thing confirmed it. At least one would’ve called that out.
I always try to err on the side of caution with stuff like rumors and ‘telephone game’ when there’s no images of the logo, but thanks for that!!

Thing is that people are given publicity materials but have zero clue what the property is, so they just slap together something. They don't know what cobra and transformers are. Is it a cobra movie? Is it Cobra vs Autobots? It's going to be a new crossover universe event, I can't see it as being tied to all their past failures. The transformer red white blue is too dark, make the symbol gold at least!

Does the term 'mock up' not give it away, it's something they ran off and the Autobot logo may just have been a better fit, physically if not tonally...
... To be fair it does look like Cobra is taking a bite out of the Autobots!

@@Its.Chad. the free comic book issue opens the flood gates. Just be sure to read Transformers, Duke, Cobra Commander and Void Rivals up the their latest issues before reading the FCBD issue

Sounds like there way of keeping there word not to advertise Gi Joe with the star and the Red White And Blue. They probably make Gi Joe the bad guy!. Like Emily said , less Gi joe is better!

That's what I heard from someone at my local toy shop but can't confirm it but they do give that impression.
I also say this because with how the world is right now , They all might be afraid they will offend people using the red ,white and blue or the star .

Prepare for the worst, hope for the best. Honestly, I don't even know anymore. I liked Rise of the Beasts, and I am rooting for this crossover to not suck Snake Eyes Ass. Maybe this will net us some cool 1/18th scale Joe stuff??

I hate cross overs since,robocop vs terminator, batman vs predator, aliens vs predator, crossovers are lazy boring formula. As a matter a fact i look forward to a movie critic review.

Totally understand what you’re saying. If they couldn’t get JOE right alone, watering it down to fit another franchise’s lore isn’t gonna help it IMO.
