Love your videos! Learned a lot from them already! A lil trick I got from riding motorcycles and not wanting to stain them when putting gas in is to simply flip the nozzle up after shaking the excess out while you’re still hovering above the holes in the tank before pulling it away from your bike. That way the gas just goes right back in instead of out. 😊
YAY!!! PS 37 mpg is awesome. It is usually very low during the breaking in period. Don't be surprised if you get some smoke from the burn off of left over plastic.
Thank you so much for this!! My grandpa purchased a Ryker yesterday and we were freaking out when we went to put gas in and it started overflowing. Now we know where to get the accurate reading and how to put it in properly
Fun watching you talk to your camera at the gas station, haha! One thing I also do is when I pull the filler neck out, I twist my wrist so it points skyward and no drips fall on your bike or car.
I am sure this information will help a lot of riders. I hear a lot of people ask about the gas gauge and in fact it even says in the manual to go by the miles left and not the gas gauge. Thanks for another great video!
I put a plastic tube extension ( one size larger so it slides over the outside stock tube) on the end of my gas over flow tube. Drilled small hole body plastic and used small black electrical tie to hold it to inside of lower body plastic, ran it just below frame so it never overflows on Ryker body or frame. I have always used the miles to empty. watch your videos because you act like a normal person instead of the attitude **** that gets old. Keep up the great work.

For those of you who need to fill from gas can at home. Harbor Freight has an electric (2 D cells) pump $10. Use funnel that comes with Riker. Works great.
I've always used 93 octane in my Spyder. I have to use it now because of my tune with the power commander. I use my trip meter to see how many miles I've gone and compare it with what it says I have left for gas.
Good Video , if you can turn the nozzle upside down when you take it out that will keep you from dripping the gas on your bike a trick i learned from my Harley

Hi Carlmac all the way from Sydney!! Thanks so much for watching!!! As far as the locking fuel cap...I really don't see the need for it. I seem to experience over flow issues. We go on long rides and I want to squeeze as much gas as I can into the tank 😢. I also use high octane fuels and am averaging 34.4 mpg 😃❤️
We are currently researching fuel carrying options for longer rides. Where we live sometimes it's a pretty good stretch between gas stations. Rotopacks are an option but are very expensive 😬😠
How to get Gas (Petrol in the UK) - well you could eat plenty of prunes, they make sour gas and cause you to fluctuate o r in Beth's case follow her simple instructions which apply to any sort of vehicle, shake rattle and drip and remember to pay at either the kiosk or at the pump! Simple.
Thank you for the great tips so we don’t mess up when putting gas in our Rykers. I have an issue with my gas gage after filling up my Ryker; it does not always update the reading of how many miles I have left to fill up until I turn the Ryker off and on a few times.
Beth, Thank you for all your informative videos. I purchased a lot of Ryker items because of your skill. Can we Clone you? That is the Best word I can use. Again, Thank you, Mark
Ha!! Yup the title gave way to lots of gas jokes! lol. Ps I have a friend that want to buy the emergency flasher that comes standard on NZ bikes. Is there a way of buying one there?
Did you have any issue with headlight condensation when you first got yours ? My gf just got an2020 Ryker zero miles and after one day developed some moisture on inside of headlights after a ride in wet conditions.
here's a question for you, what is the easiest way to check the final gear oil, I have the Ryker rally 2020, and it is almost impossible to reach and turn the 8MM plug, because of the pattern on my wheels np space.
@@RykerRydes No, not the drain plug. I am referring to the plug where you can check for the gear oil level. I finally got it off and check it. Now is it necessary to check the level there too, and check the transmission oil on the front? (left Side)
Hi Jose. Checking your fluids is always important. I certainly do not want to give you any bad information. I have not worked on my bike's gear oil level or transmission oil yet, so I am unfamiliar. I would check with an authorized can am mechanic. Ride safe!
First oil change and an inspection of the other fluids is at 6000 miles. It should be done by the dealer. The information to check the levels yourself are in the Owners Manual 😉 Keep that little book very handy it has a world of good information in it. We especially referred to it a lot for the first few months after buying our Rallies back in spring 2019.
Beth I had an fountain of gas and air come out of my gas tank ruin my plastic it was like a gallon of gas do u know why my tank would build so much pressure to blow the cap out of my hand and shoot Gass out like that?
Hello. I just recently purchased a used can am ryker 900 cc ace. Isn't to bad. But I'm wondering whats the best gasoline to use 93 or just stick with 87. The only reason is because it doesn't have any special mods on it. It's just regular. But just really need to know if putting 93 will miss it up. And my bike is a 2021
Hi Louis, I appreciate you watching. As far as gas 87, 91, 93 are all perfectly fine. The manual suggest 87 for regular riding and 93 for optimal performance. I used to use 93, but switched to 91 when the gas prices went sky high.
Thanks. So it's ok. Sometimes I would put the middle one instead of 93. But only use 93 cuz alot of people told me to but at lease I know now it won't hurt to switch every now and then. Thanks alot for the feedback. Definitely 2 👍 up
Can someone please tell how do check the mileage of the Ryker. Bought mine a week ago and ride it a lot. Need to know how many miles I've put on it? Thanks! And is there a way to check oil level?
Hi there! I am here to help! On your instrument cluster hit the top left knob or button, just keep hitting it until your mileage comes up on the left-hand side. As far as checking your oil there is a dipstick located on the right hand side of your bike, near the air filter. If you watch my oil change video at the end I show you where that is! Let me know if you need more help.
@@32poppasavage28 let me know if that works for you. If not I can do a video chat with you to help you. Also (VERY IMPORTANT) the bike has to be warm (after a short ride) for you to check the oil. If not, it will give you a false (need oil) reading!!
Checking the engine oil is Tricky since it is a Dry Sump System. Read the Owners Manual on how to do it thoroughly. You want to be sure Not to overfill it or it will destroy the engine ⚠️⚠️⚠️
Hi Beth, I haven't ridden in years. Watching you is enticing a comeback!! I've been looking at the three models. I think the SPYDER F3-T might be my choice. I'd like to research it a little more before moving forward. Any model you would recommend for a comeback rider?
I am excited for your comeback!! As to which bike to get, that is a tough question. I don't know enough about the spyders to advise you on which model to get. But it you are on the fence between a Ryker and a Spyder....here are some questions to ask yourself: Will you be taking a lot of long rides? Riding mostly with a passenger? Need cruise control and other comforts? If you answered yes, then the Spyder may be the bike for you. I love my Ryker but it is bare bones, and perfect for cruising around town etc. It's cheaper and more customizable.
@@RykerRydes Great advice!! After much research, I think the Spyder F3-T would be a good choice for me. I'm planning a test ride this week. But I must say , I love the simplicity of the Ryker and the fact that it's very customizable. The 900 would have been a good choice too. Thank you for great advice!
Recently I was caught in the dilemma of realizing that I forgot to refill before riding into work. I wondered when I would run out and how far I would need to push or walk when all bars disappeared and the warning light was on. Measuring on Google maps from the point where all the bars disappeared to making it to a gas station (thankfully), at an average speed of 45mph, I got roughly 5 miles. I am not sure how much further I would have gotten as I wasn't going to test it. When filling up to top, I had to fill 4.8 gallons, meaning I only had about 0.2 gallons left i the tank? Just an FYI for anyone else who may get into the same situation :-)
hello , i got a new battery for my Ryker 600, I tried to connect it but when the battery is connected the fuel pump is running and one the fuses popped out. nothing else is working.
I even gas tanks need to breath ;;question for you is this comfortable ride do you on long rides with this machine ,, is it easy to ride ;; I’m asking because I been thinking to get one I’m on the fence we can say
VERY easy to ride, but would 100% recommend taking the Can-Am Rider Education Program $99. Worth every penny. The Spyder is better at long rides, but i have gone on 5 hours+ rides on my Ryker without any issues.
@@RykerRydes thank you for the advice , see people like you talk about these machines i appreciate these videos every one I have seen no one has anything supper bad to say the small is thing is room they take up a little more room in the garage than a motorcycle ,, if that is the worst thing I can live with that , once again thank you
Great question! I like the look of the wheels and tires on the 900 vs the Rally. Just a personal preference. Also, the back wheel on the 900 is different, more for everyday street riding. I knew I wasn't going to be doing any riding on rough roads. Basically you cannot go wrong with either version.
Try not to grip quite as hard as well. My wife was having that problem at first because of the death grip and no blood circulation in her hands. She also had really tight fitting gloves to start with.
I’ve got a 2021 Ryker 900 and my bike doesn’t show the “autonomy” option. Instead it’s got “range”. Can anyone tell me if this is the same thing as autonomy?
Be careful sometimes those clicky things don’t work in the gas overflows sorry to be the one to say that maybe that’s just here in New York they’re too cheap to fix the pumps properly somebody probably gets paid off we got a dopey mayor here
A message for the manufacture who makes the Ryker…It should have a better Tachometer. This tachometer looks like it came from the 1980’s…Get one that is fully digital and a fully integrated color screen for the 21st century

Thank you for the great tips so we don’t mess up when putting gas in our Rykers. I have an issue with my gas gage after filling up my Ryker; it does not always update the reading of how many miles I have left to fill up until I turn the Ryker off and on a few times.
Sorry for the delayed response! I have had that issue too. It corrected itself after a few fill ups. Quirky!
Beth, Thank you for all your informative videos. I purchased a lot of Ryker items because of your skill. Can we Clone you? That is the Best word I can use. Again, Thank you, Mark
Awww thanks Mark, that was so nice. I appreciate you watching!
Petrol in New Zealand , Gas is what you get from too many prunes !
Ha!! Yup the title gave way to lots of gas jokes! lol.
Ps I have a friend that want to buy the emergency flasher that comes standard on NZ bikes. Is there a way of buying one there?
Hahaha
Thanks good information
Thanks for watching!!
Did you have any issue with headlight condensation when you first got yours ? My gf just got an2020 Ryker zero miles and after one day developed some moisture on inside of headlights after a ride in wet conditions.
No, I never did. But you are not the first person to ask me that. You may, unfortunately need to remove them and double check the seals.
Ryker Rydes yes she wants to replace them with leds from sling mods but might get the housing warrantied first.
great idea
here's a question for you, what is the easiest way to check the final gear oil, I have the Ryker rally 2020, and it is almost impossible to reach and turn the 8MM plug, because of the pattern on my wheels np space.
Hey there! Are you referring to the plugs to drain the oil?
The information to check the levels yourself are in the Owners Manual 😉
Keep that little book very handy it has a world of good information in it.
We especially referred to it a lot for the first few months after buying our Rallies back in spring 2019.
what is the name of your mirror on the windshield? I was looking and couldn't remember the name>??
Thanks

I'm getting a 2023 Ryker 900 Ace in about one month 7:47
You are going to have so much fun!
Beth I had an fountain of gas and air come out of my gas tank ruin my plastic it was like a gallon of gas do u know why my tank would build so much pressure to blow the cap out of my hand and shoot Gass out like that?
Sounds like vapor lock, but I am not 💯 sure.
Us guys are used to the little shake part😎🍾
That’s what my hubby said!! 🤪
It's because it can't go SNIFF👃😳🤭
Your videos are great.
I appreciate that! Thanks Bill!
Definitely 2 👍 up
Hi I just got my ryker 600 and I want to install a key gas cap can you tell me where to find directions to do this
I think this is what you are looking for: www.slingmods.com/canam-ryker-keyed-locking-gas-cap They usually have detailed instructions.
I need winter tire for my Ryker Rally, please help.Merci 😉
Hi! I am so sorry, living in Florida…I would not know what to recommend. Try reaching out to Bill Ramseyer on FB he would know.
@@RykerRydes thank you thank you thank you so much!!! Your videos are amazing.
When I do the gas I always grap a paper towel. When I take it out even after shaking I have a paper towel under the nozzle.
Smart idea!! Thanks for sharing with the group!
The paper towel will can also be used to wipe any drips that may happen. I’ve found when you wipe the drip right away there is no stain😉
But it you are on the fence between a Ryker and a Spyder....here are some questions to ask yourself:
Will you be taking a lot of long rides?
Riding mostly with a passenger?
Need cruise control and other comforts?
If you answered yes, then the Spyder may be the bike for you. I love my Ryker but it is bare bones, and perfect for cruising around town etc. It's cheaper and more customizable.
@@RykerRydes Great advice!! After much research, I think the Spyder F3-T would be a good choice for me. I'm planning a test ride this week. But I must say , I love the simplicity of the Ryker and the fact that it's very customizable. The 900 would have been a good choice too. Thank you for great advice!
@@nrcg2317 Test riding is the best way to decide!! Good luck!
Yup, that exact thing happened to me. So scary! I have a video on that too! lol
Where can I get the stripes? They really look nice. Thanks and have a great day
Thanks so much. Mark Zim is your decal guy (tell him I sent you...I don't get anything, I just think he's great)
Why dont they fix it! For as much money as people spend.... as always....great video!
I agree with you Randy!!
So is the mileage to walking or distance to empty the same as RANGE on the info cluster?
Yes, the range is very accurate ..... as opposed to looking at the bars on the left.
Greay video again Thank you
Thanks for watching!!! ❤️
Never mind the people and I was just wondering is your ryker is a 900 cc I love your videos many blessings and love Roberto
Thanks so much and yes my Ryker is a 900.
Beth, where did you get that mirror above the digital panel?
It’s called a Rider Scan. I have a video with more info. Check it out.
hello , i got a new battery for my Ryker 600, I tried to connect it but when the battery is connected the fuel pump is running and one the fuses popped out. nothing else is working.
That’s so strange? Do you have a lot of music/lights on your Ryker?
I even gas tanks need to breath ;;question for you is this comfortable ride do you on long rides with this machine ,, is it easy to ride ;; I’m asking because I been thinking to get one I’m on the fence we can say
VERY easy to ride, but would 100% recommend taking the Can-Am Rider Education Program $99. Worth every penny. The Spyder is better at long rides, but i have gone on 5 hours+ rides on my Ryker without any issues.
@@RykerRydes thank you for the info ,, this more encouraging to get a spyder of any kind vs. a straight up motorcycle
@@RykerRydes thank you for the advice , see people like you talk about these machines i appreciate these videos every one I have seen no one has anything supper bad to say the small is thing is room they take up a little more room in the garage than a motorcycle ,, if that is the worst thing I can live with that , once again thank you
My absolute pleasure!!
RR why did you purchase the Ryker 900 over the Ryker Rally?
Great question! I like the look of the wheels and tires on the 900 vs the Rally. Just a personal preference. Also, the back wheel on the 900 is different, more for everyday street riding. I knew I wasn't going to be doing any riding on rough roads. Basically you cannot go wrong with either version.
So informative
Thanks for watching Charles!
Great video thanks!
Glad you liked it!
Hey I have a ryker and I put 90 gas which is premium gas is what we have where I live is that ok for my ryker
Absolutely!!!
Is there a way to move seat back
Nope, sorry there is no way to move your seat back.
Is there a healthy way to switch from 87 to premium?
Hi Jordan! No need to ease into putting in premium. Next time you fill up, just put in premium. Your bike will thank you! Stay healthy, ride safe!
Kinda like Beer one day and Jack Daniel's the next!🤠👍
helloo question, does ryker /have alot of vibration?? my does and make my hand numb
This helped me a lot.
Motorcycle Foam Grips (super easy install on Can Am Ryker) ruclips.net/video/dq2kPtsJKiU/видео.html
Yes it is the same. The range us the best way to know how many miles you have left until you have to push!!!
Old video but curious if any one has used the fuel stabilizer that BRP sells?
Interesting. I was always told the Ryker does not need that.
What is the tank size 7 how far can you go on a tank of gas?
It’s small! But you can go approximately 120 miles between filling up.
Hola amiga veos tus videos y me motivan a tener una moto Can-Am Spyder de estas pero acá en Panamá no hay de esa clase de motos
Lamento mucho que no pueda conseguir una lata en Panamá.
Make sure you put it all the way in!
🤪
Be careful sometimes those clicky things don’t work in the gas overflows sorry to be the one to say that maybe that’s just here in New York they’re too cheap to fix the pumps properly somebody probably gets paid off we got a dopey mayor here
I’ve never had an issue with a problem at the pump. But that’s what the overflow tube is for. Ride safe!
How mush was it to fill your tank?
Ghartey Amoo Sorry but I was too distracted with the video to look. Very little though.
@@RykerRydes okay thanks
A message for the manufacture who makes the Ryker…It should have a better Tachometer. This tachometer looks like it came from the 1980’s…Get one that is fully digital and a fully integrated color screen for the 21st century
Thanks for your feedback and for watching.
Beth nice video and keep a rag for that.
Smart idea!
