Great looking car, I bought one, and it is an awesome sedan. The R-Line is wonderful. Great German engineering and driving it is so European. It's a great value too! The traditional key method doesn't break down like the electronic push button method (frequently needs a battery) so that's the trade off.
the damn thing doesn't even have a glove box light LOL I just got mine and realize there's no light in the box after the one I had before was a 2014 Passat SE I missed that one I like it a little bit better not the body style on the outside but I like the interior better
are you sure this is A 2017 my 2017 highline has A push start, I never used my key EVER! also all 4 seats are heated in mine and the spot where the lighter is is covered. Thank god I buy top end cars LOL
Not at all expensive to maintain for me. Castrol motor oil is recommended in the manual. That's a purpose of Volkswagen being much less expensive to maintain than a Mercedes.
gotcoke795 I agree. The CC model has a awd 300 plus horsepower if you didn't know. I think VW keeps it affordable and simple. Would be nice if this Passat had awd and more horse but of course that all costs more and they wanna keep their prices affordable.
This car is a disguised early 2000's Volkswagen. It doesn't have the latest technology adopted by Volkswagen, and it is not coping up with the brand's standards in regards to interior materials and finishing. I would prefer to opt for a Malibu or a Sonata instead of this outdated, cheap looking thing.
Safaa Sabeeh look at the EU Passat, it has all the new tech and new interior, design, lights etc... don't understand why VW sells a different/cheaper version in North America... this one is indeed quite cheap
Best looking car I've ever seen in my entire life
i have one it grows on u
Make sure you spring for the LED lighting package. Really makes the R-line look much better

is there a high maintenance cost for these?
@@wonderz_808 VWs are the affordable German car. No high maintenance costs like a Porsche
@@wonderz_808 No, VW has the lowest maintenance costs of any of the German vehicles. Less than Japanese too
I've driven this car but with brown interior , it felt very luxurious in the interior!
Great presentation and word choices!
That's a beautiful color !

Y vw didn't make l.e.d.headlights and taillights standard on the R-line also y y y y?
Such nice cars. Too bad so expensive to maintain and will be problematic later in ownership.

This car would be nice if they added awd and added a more powerful engine

You can do that with the 6 cylinder instead of the standard 1.8 Turbo.
the price???
Is this a urnao grey? Or the platinum metallic grey?
Its Platinum Metallic Grey, I own this exact car ( same exterior & interior color) and its a sweet car.
Urano. Had a ‘12 CC and a ‘17 R-Line in Urano.
You repeatedly complained about using an actual key, what are you 18 because you look more like 50 to me.
Ummm. I am 43, and old people complain. Ugggh. I love complaining
