Of interest about the music: every time the Comte enters a scene some lovely cello music starts playing. The is a piece that was written by the real life St. Germain that Bear incorporated into the show.

Ahhh. That's why it's a cello and not bagpipes in the intro.i know I said violin, but I meant cello. 🙃

I was so broken and so angry when Frank burned her clothes. I know when my dear husband passed away, nothing made me feel close to him more than his smell in his clothes. So cruel to take that away.

I don't agree on the opinion of some who think it's not right to always show the psychological effects of Randall's tortures. Because of a new country, new responsibilities, a mission etc. there is so much going on that Jamie would have a lot on his mind. Of course it will always be with him, but he can't let himself go to pieces when the stakes are so high. And after the first season, the second season is my favourite!

I agree! He would have PTSD from that trauma!

There's a reason Bear changes the theme song for season 2. Trust him. He's a maestro.
This season is my favorite season. Dragonfly in Amber, book 2 of the series.
Okay. So, Claire jumped back 202 years from 1945 to 1743. She spent three years in the 18th century and jumped forward 202 years again from 1746 to 1948.
Don't forget, Mrs. Graham led the dancers at Craigh na Dun on Sqmhain in 1945. She kens things.
The child is the reverend great nephew who was orphaned by the Blitz. The reverend adopted Roger MacKenzie and raised the boy as his son, as Roger Wakefield.

Frank burning Claire’s 18th Century clothes was like a Randall punch to the gut and made me sooooo mad! 😡 I literally cursed out loud to my TV when I first saw it 😂 Also, I know you miss the bagpipes… however, the music to the Skye boat song (outlander opening theme) changes as it relates to the locations and themes of each season. Bear does an amazing job with each variation of the theme. Honestly, all the music in this show is so beautiful, emotional, and overall amazing ❤️

Anna... you've set this up perfectly "wonderfully - terriblely" well.
IMHO, this season of Outlander, season 2, is radiantly brilliant - this season's story telling construction is genius - and the storyline is magnificent because it only resolves due to arriving at an intertwined time / relationship destiny - and, once there, we are treated to one of the single greatest episodes in the entire history of television... so ya, mark me... welcome to a wonderful-terrible ride.

I agree! I've heard others say they spent too much time in Paris, but that was the point of the season. I absolutely love all the Paris characters, and miss them dearly. ❤️ I really think this is my favorite season!

Frank has a mixed bag of love and hate in his fanbase.
Sam specifically wanted to portray Jamie a little differently right after Wentworth. Wanted to give the idea without saying it that it was still affecting him. I'll let you find out for yourself how many episodes/seasons he's different!
I dearly love this season, one of my favorite characters is introduced. Can't wait!

Patience Grasshopper. All will fall together and make imminent sense shortly. In the mean time they are interlacing the current-time story with the past-time story because they eventually fall together. Kind of.

I wish you had written these books. Perhaps I wouldn't get so pissed off at Gabaldon's shoddy understanding of plot. You mentioning going back to Lallybrock is a way better plot than what does happen. Clearly you understand this.

    Comte Saint Germain, really existed

    • @Blue-rl5dp
      @Blue-rl5dp 2 года назад

Yes, there was a real life Comte St. Germain. And, there was, in the mid-1700's, some kind of contremps and possibly criminal scandal surrounding him. All was cleared and covered from the highest levels at the time and it's now impossible to find what it was and descendants frown heavily on any digging for info.

17:40 It’s DEFINITELY the hair. Reminds me of Gaston 😑 and as the seasons continue and his hairstyles continue to change, i become more bothered. 1st season he has a young and rugged look about him. Season 2 he’s clean shaven with all this forehead and what looks to be a HUGE face! Sadly, the loss of scruff = my loss of attraction

Everyone has that human/storyteller reaction, lol. We all see it as horrific and then also as amazing. Come on.
