It's a nice touch how Claire noticed how noisy the modern world seemed now.
The first and last episodes of season 2 are among my favourites out of the whole show.
They ignore this in the TV show but there is a book outside the original books called "The Exile" which is the first half of book one but from Jamie's POV. In that book Murtague saw Claire come through the stones. That is how he knows to save her from Black Jack. He never tells Jamie.
Here we see the difference; Jamie told Claire that because Frank had loved her he would hold him in honor. She shouldn't be self conscious of speaking of him, or even missing him.
Frank tells her he can't share her with another man, even a dead one. She should never speak of Jamie or her time with him.
Jamie encouraged Claire's love for Frank, even saying he was part of their family too. Frank tried his best to erase her memory of Jamie. Frank was a good man thrown for a loop, but Jamie was the more modern and open hearted man even though in his time men did actually own their wife like they owned their horse.
To be fair, Jaime probably recognized that Frank was with her first. Had it been the other way around he might not have felt the same way, it's not like Jaime would've been alright with sharing Claire in the past either. Or been alright with her returning to Frank without it being an only-choice situation.
@@alexanderb5726 True, if he had been the first husband he might have felt different about Frank, the second. But Jamie was eternally and completely forgiving of anything Claire did, like when she was with the King of France. He didn't like it, but he never held it against her in any way. I don't know how much, if any, of the books you've read so I'll shut my mouth to keep from spoiling.😁
According to your own description, Frank is most certainly NOT a good man. He's an insecure narc that blames her for ALL of HIS problems. And ironically Frank treated Claire like he owned her too. Mrs. FRANK RANDALL.
The book Jamie is VERY different from the show.@@Blue-rl5dp
Frank never told Claire he was sterile. He let her think it was her fault. He still hasn’t said anything about it.
Another mark against Frank, I forgot about that. How can anyone see this clearly manipulative B@stard as a good guy? No really?
@@radicalreactions1633 I dont get this, he found out AFTER she left and she came back pregnant so how did he LET her believe it was her fault? Say what you will about other things he did (althoguh I wouldn't say they were manipulative evil things afaik), but I really don't see how this is Frank being a bad person
I think it's unfair to say that because Frank got angry, he has much in common with his ancestor. Who doesn't get angry at unfaithfulness? Yes, Claire didn't mean for it but regardless. And not only did she fall in love with another man, lay with him, but even got pregnant by him which Frank and Claire before all this had tried many times unsucessfully. *Of course* he's angry. But we see the difference between him and Jack, furious as he was he could not bring himself to harm Claire. But anyone claiming that that situation wouldn't have you boiling with rage is full of it.
Excuses. Excuses. Such a man fucking response. Everything you try to throw back at Claire was done AGAINST HER WILL. She didn’t want to marry Jamie. She didn’t want to fall for him. She didn’t ask to get sent back into time away from Frank. Like truly open your blinders and stop judging women for having to do things to survive. Frank is disgustingly sexist and racist (which they conveniently cut out to make him look better)
Yeah I agree. Tbh Jack Randall isn’t even angry, he just enjoys it, and Frank will never be like that.
Jamie is still the better man in every way, shape, and form.
@emmem4500 that doesn't mean that Frank isn't also a good guy. 2 things can be true at once. Frank was a pretty great guy, considering how he spent the rest of his life.
And I think it's unfair to believe that it isn't, he's a reincarnation of BJ Randall, hence why he can't have children. "Unfaithfulness" only works if the person you're supposed to be FAITHFUL TO IS ALIVE, which he wasn't. And have you forgotten that boys have a double standard that the man can cheat all he wants (which he did, ( but when a woman does it (even though she didn't), it's all of a sudden the ultimate betrayal. Regardless nothing, look up the words before using them next time. Frank is a covert narcissist much like his ancestor was a malignant narcissist.
I'm waiting for your reactions to this awesome series like a kid is waiting for Christmas !!!
The one guy they can trust with claire being a time traveler secret is Fergus and yet Fergus is the only friend/family member that doesnt. 😅
They were true to the spirit of Book 2 in this opening though they fudged the timeline a bit to make it more cinematic. When I first started Book 2 I wanted to throw it across the room in frustration. But eventually the book and show answer all the questions.
I really feel for Frank. He never stopped loving her but she was changed utterly by her love for Jamie. He's really a good man and something of a tragic figure.
Nice review love the video Imon Nation stay motivated Dream big 1 mill on the way
Nary a sight of Graham McTavish and Imon can't stop talking about 'giving it to Dougal' 😳
You're so thirsty for Dougal, I love it!
I have one question. At this point, how do you know Black Jack is Frank's great-granduncle, I don't know how many times, because in the first episode Frank's says (as he opens a bible) that he got his start in 1746 when Jack Wolverton Randall married Mary Hawkins.
With Imon, I don't get the vibe that she's watched ahead or read the books. I'm guessing that some "helpful" Patron or subscriber felt the need to point out the relationship in a comment.
Oh welcome to the France's arc.
I havent read the books & Ive only watched up until episode 5 in Season 2, but as a shot-in-the-dark guess, I think Black Jack's karma thru his genetic line is Frank being impotent/sterile.
It could also be karmically/destiny tied to the fact that somehow Claire ends up Frank's wife that's why she ends up in Scotland with all the info she gains thru Frank before she travels to her other destiny with Jaime & THAT'S ultimately the man she gets pregnant with.
^^the trauma both she & Jaime endure via Black Jack. Its like a big time/karma/destiny spiral/circle. Everything happens for a reason, etc. Or atleast thats how Im looking at it.
But it IS tragic, as you keep saying, bc Frank is essentially "innocent" in all of this. He didnt know/ask for BJR to be such a heinous deviant man OR to be descended from someone like that...& how could one ever predict your wife to be a "traveller", deal with supernatural events. Etc.
That was one giant water bottle you pulled out lol
This is Frank not Jack Randall..she loved him with all her heart...he loved her..I believe she is intelligent enough to know the difference..
It's the same person just in a different generation, hence him being sterile. Thank you Jamie! She DIDN'T love Frank, he was simply the only man she knew in a romantic sense, she LOVES Jamie with all her heart. And Frank doesn't love her either, if he did he wouldn't have cheated on her from the beginning. Clearly you're not intelligent enough to know about PTSD and personality problems.
… How did you already know at this point that Black Jack was Frank’s great uncle and not a grandfather? That isn’t revealed until later.
Probably the comment section.? Lol
This opening is very confusing, just like the start of the second book. The entire season shows what lead up to this opening & her returning back to Frank. Hang in there, it will all make sense in the end. You'll be on a journey throughout this season.
I'm 100% with Frank right here.
He threw her into the rocks 😂
Second! Love your reactions! Also when will you continue Supernatural reactions! Love your Spn reactions too! You’re such a sweetheart.
Imon snow I was wondering did you watch demon slayer season 2 and 3?
Imon snow I was wondering if you watch My hero academia season 6?
warum schreibst du auf deutsch
@@Lena-rm2md Ich bin aus Deutschland. Mein Englisch reicht nicht aus. 🌞🌞💐💐
In the books frank isnt that nice.
I heard that 🤔 I want to read the books soon.
He's not nice here, they're trying to soften the bad parts and they're doing it badly. Those of us that pay attention, we know..
The other girl who made videos with her has a new channel?
Notice the song is in French
Not a fan of they way the season starts, as I think it gives a bit much away, but season 2 is pretty great.
