Loved your Forrest walk, although all those ladders you climbed looked so steep, your legs must have really felt tired after that. The view from the Brasov sign was awesome 💕💕💕
Thank you! Those ladders were very vertical haha, but it was a good feeling once finished! 😄 & Yes, the Tampa Mountain is a fabulous viewpoint, not many cities have a mountain on their outskirts to make a good lookout at! 😄
Wonderful mountain adventures in Northern Wallachia (Sinaia and Peleș Castle) and Southern Transylvania (Brașov), an area at the intersection of legends and dark history that I love so much... as a Romanian 😊 Thank you for sharing them, I hope you had a great time! The medieval Bran Castle that you will show in the next episode, although it has no concrete connection to the myth of Dracula or to the ruler of Wallachia (and founder of Bucharest) Vlad "Tepeș/the Impaler" the third, had a strategic importance being located exactly on the border between the two historical regions. You have already visited Cluj-Napoca and Sighișoara, but Brașov has a very special charm - one of my favorite cities in Romania, along with Iași, Sibiu, Timișoara, Oradea or Alba Iulia. Constanța (a port city on the Black Sea), Craiova, Târgoviște, Suceava, Piatra Neamț, Arad and so on, but also the rural areas... are also beautiful destinations, even if less visited by tourists. Among them, dream places like natural reserves, mountain trails, famous roads, the Danube Delta, the untouched traditions of Maramureș and Bucovina, ancient painted monasteries in norhern Moldova and many medieval fortresses everywere...
Thank you so much! We had the best time in Romania and would love to come back and explore some more. Thanks very much for the information and more places to add to our visit wish list. We stopped in Oradea first, and visited Sibiu and Timisoara too, which will be coming up in an episode in a couple of weeks time.

Nice, thank you for taking us along with you…. You looked a bit unsteady on some of those ladders Manda. The sections with the handrails looked to have Aria a bit worried too… I could actually feel my Ankle saying nope! Not me.. 🤣 Great to be able to tag along as always 💙
Haha, it was my broken toe at the time saying it wasn't sure it wanted to participate. Did you notice me limping afterwards? Glad you enjoyed coming along with us 😊
I'm sure you won't be able to unsee the limp now lol. & Yes, her hands were freezing. I think it was about 13° in the canyon and the water spraying on to the metal hand rails made them very cold.
Hmmm you should wait until our episode in 2 weeks time :-o ... but they say you should be loud while hiking so as to not to startle a bear, also don't carry food with you (hence we ate our lunch at the start of the hike) and well if you do come across one, stand still then walk very slowly away / around giving it a wide berth if it stays still. If it wanders off then wait for it to go before you move, and if it comes to you stand still the whole time and hope for the best.
You need to have a bear spray ready to use (not in your backpack) and make noise, so that the bears can hear you from far away and run away from you. That is, you do not want to surprise them, because they may panic and attack you. Lastly, when you see a bear, the worst thing you can do is to run away, because that will trigger its hunting instinct and it will catch you very quickly (they are very fast, despite the appearances). Apart from the bear spray ready to use, try to scare them by shouting at them and by raising your hands in a menacing way.
Interesting that we didn't see any bear spray for sale anywhere in Brasov or where we began our hike. In Canada it was available everywhere in the towns.
Unique Romania
Absolutely!!
Such a beautiful place. That hike was next level and Aria was brilliant climbing all those ladders.
It is a stunning area! Really has become one of our favourite locations. & Yes the hike was a bit of a challenge, but Aria nailed it! 😁
What a lovely family! I already love you guys after this video, subscribed!❤❤
Thank you very much :) That is very nice of you!

Nice vlog guys, I wouldn't have the guts to climb that long vertical ladder :) can you tell me please what is the song at 10:50?
Haha thanks! It was a bit nerve wracking that one! Glad you enjoyed it though! :) The song is called Back in Time by Daniel Netz. Did you like it?
@OverlandExposure Thank you, yes, I enjoyed both the vlog and all songs, but especially that one :) Thanks and good luck!
Thanks, glad to hear it! :)

@ no, never noticed the limp, I’ll have to back and have another look….😉
Was Aria getting cold? Looked like she had cold hands..?
I'm sure you won't be able to unsee the limp now lol.

What are you volunteering for this week? The ladders hike? 😂
lol… yep once you see it…. 🤣 shouldn’t laugh, Karma 🙄
hahaha yeah, no laughing!
Watch out for bears?😵What do you do when you see them? 👀 does it matter if you see it before it eats you?

@OverlandExposure That is quite stupid, isn't it? And I am saying this as a Romanian.
😂😂 funny you say that.
