3 Reason To Get the CVT! | Hyundai Verna FAQ #5

Three things to keep in mind when considering the Hyundai Verna CVT.
First, it's great commuter. It feels smooth. At city speeds, the CVT is particularly happy over there but it's not sluggish at all, so if you want to travel faster out on the highway, it's comfortable there is well. So it makes for a great all-rounder. It feels specially luxurious because the suspension set up is a bit more pliant than that on the DCT which is a bit sportier.
Second, the practicality. The fuel efficiency is pretty solid returning about 12-13 kmpl in the city and about 16-17 kmpl out on the highway, which makes it quite practical.
Third, it misses out on one feature compare to the Verna turbo-DCT which is the adaptive cruise control stop-and-go functionality of the ADAS suite. But instead Hyundai Verna get the white theme for the cabin with the CVT transmission, which in my books is really worth having. It makes the cabin feel so much more spacious and lavish

You are right. I got the cvt black. The white interior makes you feel like you are sitting in a car from a segment above. So much so i have decided not to even put covers for my seat. And yes the cvt is the practical choice

The service manual states change of transmission fluid is not needed ....contrary to the fact that cvt reliability is dependent on changing the same at regular interval.

India is such a diverse country to talk about CITY MILEAGE 😅
I mean, the cities in India are different, some cities do have traffics but has long stretches of roads, while other cities might not have much traffic but has short roads overall…
For example in my city Rajkot which is a Tier 2 city, during most of the times, you simply cannot go above 30-40kmpl and that too with extreme stop & go…
So I always have to consider 2-5kmpl less city mileage 😅 from the actual mileage tested by several youtube videos & 40-50% less mileage claimed by the brand 😂

I have seen many videos where the car is revving around 0.9 1.1 rpm in auto but the manual video even with the light foot can’t get that rpm so automatic will give better mileage than manual ????
