Dean is so different from the kind kind of characters that Kevin usually plays. He is so good at doubletakes and high pitched screams that he often plays over-the-top characters. I love all of Kevins characters but this one stands out the most because of how unique he is.
Yes! That's so true. I remember one of the other sketches of "Slipped my Mind" where Dave Foley played the super nerd which, like you said, was totally the opposite of how they usually played roles. That's part of why I always loved these.
The first clue he was being let out soon was the fact that he was ordering tickets to Phantom of The Opera. In the death chamber no less. Gotta love the dark humor in that. LOL
BASS MARINO oh yeah!!! Even better than Python which says quite a bit! I love kith and have seen just about all of their skits, many of them multiple times, and I never grow weary of them.
Kevin is so good as Dean, you just know what catchphrase he'll say next but he still makes it funny everytime, that's talent! Dave is also great, always one step away from crying! I didn't expect a sequel and I was so glad to see this!

I like the "will do" skit where he borrows his CD he keeps promising that He'll get give him more stuff in return and he finally says he's going to meet him for dinner and never comes and then he sees him walking down the street 🤣hilarious.. must have slipped my mind
Dave's characters is as stupid as Dean is sociopathic! That's why the sketch series work. They balance each other so well. They only made something like 4 or 5 sketches in this series, didn't they? It doesn't feel like they did more than 6 with Dean and The Dope, tops.
Licensing "Happy Birthday to You" for a network show like this costs thousands of dollars. I take it KITH didn't have much of a music licensing budget.

These sketches always cracked me up. Dave is usually Mr. Deadpan and Kevin is usually kind of mugging for the camera and this time it's flipped the other way.

I feel like they actually swapped who the characters were written for between Dave & Kevin. That Dave is playing a Kevin Character and Kevin is playing Dave character, or that they're trying to play each other acting out these roles.
